Name of Serenche: Haru
Personality: Haru's very friendly. He's reserved, but not shy- He just tends to observe more than he participates. He's not very talkative, but when he does talk he's very polite. He hates being alone, despite the antisocial vibe he gives off. He always tries to stick with other Serenches, but because they don't stay in packs it's hard for him. He's very loving towards those he cares about, though he may not show it with words.
History: Haru was once a very social little creature, when he was young, always talking and playing with anything that moved. This sometimes got him into trouble, but he didn't mind- he just thought life was so boring if you spent it alone. He always dreamed of finding someone perfect- happy, caring, and sweet. He'd decided to spend the rest of his life with her when he found her, and never to leave her.
One day, as he was roaming the forest for his next play mate, he came across a pair of Serenches. Of course he was excited, so he approached them.
"Would you like to play?" he asked, looking up at the older creatures with bright, wide eyes.
"No, kid. Go away." One replied. It was a male, dark and tall. He had silver markings on him, winding across his back and around his legs. The other was male, too, but this one was a tan color with white markings.
"Why not?" Haru asked, pouting a little.
"Because. You're a freak- Whats with the wings? And you're too happy. It's just annoying. Now get out of my way, kid." The same dark male batted a paw at the young Haru, showing him that he wanted him out of the way.
"But... " Haru was at a loss for words. A freak? Nobody had ever commented on his wings before- Of course they noticed, but they never said anything. They just stared. His mother had told him that they made him special, and that everyone else was just jealous. Maybe that's why he was being so mean?
"I said move, Kid." This time he swiped at Haru a bit more aggresively. Haru ducked, but the older male managed to hit him in the shoulder. Haru whimpered.
"Why are you so mean? They're just wings, you don't have to be jealous or anything. I can't even really fly with them!" He rushed, trying to make peace with the other Serenche.
"Jealous?" He snorted. "Why would I be jealous? They just make you weird. Now, get out of my way!" He swiped at Haru once more, this time catching him across the face. Haru shreiked, half of his vision suddenly turning black. He turned the other way and ran, feeling the blood drip down his face. His thoughts were racing, as well. A freak? Weird? But mom said... No, maybe the male was right. Maybe I am a freak.
From that day forward, Haru did his best to stay on everyones good side. He barely spoke, and when he did he was quiet and polite. He wore a blue piece of cloth over his eyes to hide the scar and his deformed eye. He used to have trouble finding his way around, but he'd gotten good at feeling for things before he walked. It was time consuming, but if he didn't wear his blindfold then others would surely think he was even more of a freak. He spent his days wandering around the forests, looking for company. He never did stay long, though- He was too afraid of being hurt again.
