Somnei Bonding

Very agile, fast and elegant. It almost makes a sport out of making many dreams positive in a single night. Its patterns glow in the dark and it's well aware of this. This Somnei likes resting under bright lights so its markings will glow longer in the dark, filling itself with a sense of pride and happiness.

Reason for wanting one: It hasn't been that long since I got Candy, but I have to admit that this species keeps drawing me back. I really like the slightly vain factor in this one with making sure it's lights are always shining, and it's colors are simply gorgeous. It reminds me a bit of grass, and I don't really have any characters that are green or vain yet, so once again I find myself looking at a unique character for me. o3o

What will it be used for? Can I honestly say I will not use it for secret war purposes with a missile strapped to it's head? Well... yep. I don't think I will be doing that anytime soon. I will be using Cyrus in art, stories, ect. things like those.
Describe your Somnei:Cyrus is slightly vain, always making sure it's markings are glowing softly in the dark. It is somewhat of a perfectionist, pushing itself to do more and better dreams in one night. Moving with a practiced grace, it is clueless and stubborn when it finds anything it dislikes or isn't used to. Even if it did have a gender, it's personality wouldn't fall smack dab under female or male. Cyrus isn't extreme in anything, not liking to stand out for anything negative. Dream-wise, it always adds softly glowing patterns around the dream. The most common is gently pulsing silver swirl-like designs on the moon or Cryrus' own green markings on leaves and/or butterflies.

Write a short story for your Somnei: I could feel how weak my limbs were compared to normal, and I shook my head as if shaking off some annoying nightmare. Low on energy again. I cracked open a gleaming green eyes, rolling onto my back to stretch and leap up. Arching my back like the most graceful cat, I glanced over my back to check my markings, which were pulsating with an almost too bright to look at glow. Perfect.
I trotted out from my hiding spot, an ideal resting place in an old building that still had dusty furniture with holes in the roof for sunlight and moonlight to peer through and light up the room. Bounding through a window, the moon's light made everything gleam silver. I paused for a moment, wondering how pretty I must look, glowing green among the silver.
Tilting my head up, I caught sight of a pulsating sickly green dream, clearly a mix of a sickness and height fear nightmare. Crest pulsating, I prowled towards it, head down. My tail swept side to side on the floor, and then I rushed forwards, leaping in and out of dreams for the rest of the night. I transformed heights to rolling meadows, chain saws and blood to candy and ice cream fields. Everywhere I leapt, my beautiful glow was left behind as a mark.
It was only when I bounced into a dream of a twenty or so year old female that I stopped dead, my head ringing as I blinked and shook my head to see what creature prowling in the dream had hit me. Most creatures in nightmares feared and hated Somnei like me, and were always annoying to deal with when they tried to attack me.
But no, this wasn't one. Staring is surprise, a delicate Somnei with glowing pinks and blues stared back at me with equal surprise. "T-this is my dream," It said softly, clearly embarrassed. I blinked again. Other Somnei weren't unheard of, but we didn't bump into (literally this time) each other that much, and it was still quite rare to see another. I watched as the other Somnei transformed the dream with a flar of blue, then scurried past me, heading for another dream. "Hey wait," I said, tilting my head so it could see my markings better. "I'm Cyrus, I haven't seen any other Somnei for a while. Would you want to hang together for a bit?"
The other SOmnei stared at me, then quietly said. "O-okay. I'm Candy, Cyrus. Nice to meet you..." Surprisingly, it blushed. I grinned back. I knew that we were going to get along just fine.

Desired Somnei:number fourteen has a lot of meaning to me for some reason.
Somnei name: If I were to obtain this Somnei I'd probably name it Cadens. Cadens is the latin word for falling and during the Autumn all you see are those little leaves falling from the trees.
Reason for wanting one: I don't really know in all honesty.I lost a friend almost a year ago in October and this is around the time when the leaves started to fall and this little one kind of reminded me of him. I didn't get to say goodbye to this friend due to the fact that I lost him to suicide, but he always had a way of making me smile with his jokes and his care free personality. This somnei's personality reminds me of him.

What will it be used for? I don't think it should be used exactly. It's more like a memory or an object that reminds me of the summer when I met this boy. I'd probably go to this picture and write down how I feel whenever I'm upset seeing how when I'm upset I usually think about what my friend would have said to make things better.
Describe your Somnei: He's (It's) very care free and is well know to be a jokester. Though he's(it's) not very serious when it comes to others feelings and well being it's a very serious thing for him (Them). He(It) doesn't like to see others hurt so when in dreams he(It) tries to find only the best memories you have. Cadens is often found making loud statements in dreams using very important or old memories while in dreams. He's(It's) a bit fearless and isn't afraid to voice his opinion.

Write a short story for your Somnei: Their was a girl around the age of fifteen. She was always happy and could be found trying to make others happy. Most knew her for her personality, but those close to her knew her for her crazy dreams and hopes. You see this girl was what you'd call a 'Classic Dreamer,'. Nicole, being the girls name, was one of those people who only wanted good for others and expected nothing in return. During the Summer of '11 a Somnei was born from all these dreams. Most of her dreams revolved around the Autumn time frame do to the fact that she loved the time of year because it was just before winter and it just had a certain feeling in the air. Due to this fact a somnei by the name of Cadens was born. It's said that the word originates from the english word falling. The creature obtained this Latin word due to the fact that during the Autumn months the leaves would shed their green colors and fall to the ground creating blankets of different shades of gold. Cadens was known for being fearless and playful so in turn the gal's dreams were just that. During those few months of summer she became a more bold and confident person. During the Summer as well, she met a boy by the name of Jorge Arruda. He was a very special boy and had a spark that made him different. He was one of those people that only wanted the best for the people around him which made him much like Nicole. They became very, very good friends in those three months and her dreams seemed brighter than ever. When Summer ended and Fall soon arrived school started and they saw less and less of each other due to the fact that he went to a different school. They still tried to hang out, but it wasn't as often as she wanted them to. The last time she saw him was on the fourth of October on a Saturday. The pool on base was due to shut down and all their friends were trying to make the best of it. They'd not only gone swimming, but got pizza as well which resulted with Jorge stealing her food. The Somnei watched this all quietly a bit proud of his ability to give the girl happiness. Cadens had often traveled to the boys dreams and was troubled by how colorless they were. It took much work for it to brighten up the boys dreams and this tired him to the point where he barely got to speak with his owner. It never hit him that the boy would end his life though. On October sixth the tradgedy struck and the worst part was that it's owner found out over a computer. After the inccident she had many nightmare that were so depressing that it took almost everything in Cadens power to just erase it all let alone make it a happy dream. He tried to though and over the next six months things started looking brighter and slowly, but surely the gal started to dream the same golden colors again though they were a bit haunted by the memories that lay in the season. The somnei only brought good memories of him though like, his favorite shirt his mother had given her or his laugh and the days they hung out. Feeling a bit of attachment he stopped wondering to others dreams and made it his responsibility to help this girl as much as he possibly could. Cadens still remains as fearless and bold as ever, but it has grown a seriousness about itself when it comes to the feelings of this girl.

It was born from a dreamer whom wished for a snowday. Whenever it visits dreamers it likes to make warm dreams cold and frosty. It's considered artistic and plays around with snowy landscapes inside of dreams. It does not like to be seen and rarely makes interactions with people unless it feels connected to them.
