What is Schizophrenia, anyways?

Basically, a mental disorder in which the most characteristic quality is that the person suffering from it hears voices. I'm not an expert, but I've looked it up a lot as I absolutely LOVE mental disorders (not like that, I just... they're interesting... o.o'). Schizophrenia is generally also categorised by a paranoid nature and sometimes irrational movements or twitching. You should search for it on Wikipedia. There's a lot of information there. ^-^

@` Hypnotic - Sorry, you have to guess the Gemstone that the Poofpuff is based on before you can adopt from the Gemstone litter. ^-^ But the Disorder Litter are all totaly free, like normal litters. :3

@Rainbow Socks - Okay, here is my attempt at explaining, though you should probably look them up on Wikipedia, too. ^^

Munchhousens (not sure of the spelling)
A mental disorder in which the person with it makes themselves ill or hurts themselves on purpose to get medical attention. It usually develops after seeing other people get a lot of attention and fuss over them while they're ill.
For example, a pair of twin boys. Tom and John. (lol example)
Tom gets very sick and needs to go to hospital. Tom & John's parents, and all the doctors, pay a lot of attention to Tom while John doesn't get as much attention. This CAN cause Munchhousens.

Narcissism is a personality trait, but Narcissistic Personality Disorder (NPD) is a mental disorder.
Narcissism means 'self obsessed' and comes from the greek character Narcissus, who fell in love with his own reflection. NPD is a mental disorder with these qualities. It generally comes from not having a very loving bond to one's parental guardians. Subconciousley, someone with NPD feels that they are unworthy of love and attention from their mother/father/whoever looks after them. This manifests and turns to the other extreme. To make up for their feelings of imperfection, the person with NPD will over-compensate and think of themselves are perfect and all-wonderful. They always respond badly to critisism (I know 3 people with NPD, so trust me, this is hard to cope with xD), even if it is only non-serious critisism.
