First gen lenarions are the very first lenarions made(they're from 2010 and are animated), so all the V.1 lenarions you see in the archives don't count toward the limit due to their age

Entering the den, you see a camouflage pattern lenarion curled up in front of a fire place. Sensing your presence, his ears and tail twitched, proceeded to get up and sat down with proud stance. You noticed he was wearing a bandanna that matched his fur. Curious, you go up to the lenarion, introduce yourself and asked why he was wearing a bandanna. He replied, “Where I got this bandanna? Well, that’s a long story, are you up for it?” Very interested, you nodded and he started his story.

My name is Takeo, meaning valiant male. It was given to me by my previous human companion of many years. I was originally born in the jungle, at least that was what Takeshi, my previous human companion told me, however, I have no memories of my family or of my kind in the wild. I only remember being approached by Takeshi. I was hidden in a bush when he found me and I was weak due to malnutrition. As he was trying to pick me up, I attempted to snap at his fingers but he manage to pick me up first. I tried to struggle free from his grasp but he only pulled me closer and I felt a very warm feeling envelope me. Before I knew it, I was snuggling against his chest and started to fall asleep to the rhythm of his beating heart.
When I woke up, I saw I was in some sort of shelter, wrapped up in a blanket and Takeshi was warming something up. An aroma was wafting through the air, it smelled like a familiar substance I know, milk. I clicked in attempt to get his attention when I did, he turned around and smiled. He walked over to bed ,stroked my head and said, “Glad to see you awake little one. I wasn’t sure you were going to make it. I hoped you enjoyed your nap.” I nuzzled against his hand but I always looked toward the source of milk. Takeshi chuckled, “I know what you want little one.” He picked me up and took me to the milk. Takeshi put me down in his lap when he poured the milk into a weirdly shape container. After he was done, he brought the container to my mouth and I held onto it. I started to suck and the warm liquid filled my mouth while I was sucking, that’s when Takeshi first introduced himself as Takeshi. While he was talking to me, he stroked my belly as I was drinking milk and when I was done, I let out small burp. Takeshi started to laugh and put the container away before walking back to the soft bedding I was on earlier and that’s when I realized the sky outside was dark. It must’ve been night time already and Takeshi said it was time to sleep. If you’re wondering, I am able to understand human speech, however, I was unable to speak it. Understanding what he meant, I snuggled up to him and slept with him until morning came.
When dawn broke, I woke up at the same time Takeshi did, we both stretched and Takeshi stroked my cheek before getting up. He told me to stay inside the shelter and never go out unless he said I could go out. I always did whatever he told me to do. Sometimes he came early and other times he comes back when it’s evening. He always make sure to take me out on potty breaks and fed me. After a few days passed, Takeshi told me where we were living was a military base and he was a soldier himself. That was why he was gone and back at random times and why I should never go outside alone. Now that I was older and stronger than before, he planned to go ask his superior if he could take me with him on missions or when training. Takeshi said he would feel safer if I was by him all the time but he wouldn’t force me to go with him if I wanted to stay. I tried to express saying that I wanted to be with him and Takeshi understood immediately because he smiled and held me closer. Since he was excited, he wanted to go ask his superior right away so Takeshi took me with him to his superior’s cabin. Takeshi knocked on his superior’s cabin door and a man with a rough voice asked, “Who’s there?” Takeshi replied with, “Sir! It is Soldier Takeshi! I have a request to make!.” I heard a chair scraping across the floor and heavy footsteps approached the door. The door opened and a tall man with a tough build looking at us. First he looked at me and looked into Takeshi’s eye and said, “This is the animal you picked up several days ago, correct?” Takeshi replied with confidence, “Yes, sir!” The superior studied me carefully this time, he scanned me from head to tail and asked Takeshi, “I’m assuming you want to bring this guy into your missions and training." Takeshi once again replied yes with confidence. The superior smiled and gave a slap to Takeshi's back. "Well, alright. He can join us. Just as long he doesn't bother anyone else." I was elated and jumped into Takeshi's arms. After Takeshi and his superior were done talking, we headed back to Takeshi's shelter and rested for the night.
The next morning, I got up first and woke up Takeshi so he can get up. Takeshi let out a yawn and continued on with our daily morning routine. He gets up, brushes his teeth, washes his face, get breakfast ready for the both of us and eat. After we were done, we headed outside and I was able to train with Takeshi in the morning. It was a tiring and fun experience. Getting to see Takeshi train with his fellow comrades and I got to move around a lot. Much better than what I experienced before. After the day was over, we had dinner and went to sleep.
Before I knew it, a month passed. I woke up to see Takeshi up first and was smiling. He had a box in his hand and told me to open it. Curious and excited, I took the box from his hands and tore the box open. What I found inside the box was a bandanna that matched my fur. I nuzzled against Takeshi's face and pointed at the bandanna meaning I wanted to wear it. Takeshi nodded and wrapped it around my neck and tied it. Takeshi said it was one month since I came into his life and made it more enjoyable. Then he said what I've been waiting for, we're going on a mission today. That's why he also gave me the bandanna, a way to commemorate our first mission together.

Many summers and winters pass when I was with Takeshi. Our missions were usually set in the jungle due to my fur matching the colors of the jungle. Missions are dangerous but it's fun that you get to be with someone you care about. But one day, we had another mission. A mission that would change our lives. It was just another usual mission. Go out and fight enemies, capture any enemies if possible. Our missions were usually set in the jungle due to my fur matching the colors of the jungle. Takeshi, his comrades and I were heading to enemy base. This time we fell into a trap. The enemies knew I would be leading the team this time around, so they laid out a trap.I always sniffed out bases and traps which helps Takeshi and his comrades find they way around. They took our advantage and turned it into a disadvtange. My smelling sense, led us to the trap. A gunshot rang through the air and we knew we were ambushed. I was trying to help and fight but when I was open, the enemy took advantage and shot at me. But I didn't feel any pain. I looked and saw Takeshi falling to the ground. I barked in alarm and attacked the enemy, pinning him down. The comrades took Takeshi and the enemy back to our base. Takeshi was brought to the medical tent while the enemy was brought to the questioning room. I was in worry and kept on pacing around and the doctor finally came out. His face was gloomy. I heard he told a fellow comrade that Takeshi couldn't be saved. The bullet he took for me entered through his lungs. Takeshi didn't have a lot of time left. Hearing that, I ran through the doors to Takeshi's side. I can hear his shallow breathing and I nudged his hand. I stood up and leaned against the side of his bed. He started to cough but he tried to speak. He said, "Takeo. I do not have a lot of time left. I always wanted to tell you this but you're my only family. I took that bullet because I wanted you to live. You were too precious to me. If you died, I would be left in this world all alone again. Thank you so much for being my side after all these years. I love you a lot. I cannot express you how much in words--" Takeshi started to cough up blood but continued talking, "I will always love you even if I'm gone. I love you dearly. Thank you." I nudged his face and shed a tear for the first time in my life. Then I saw one last smile from Takeshi and he closed his eyes while saying, "I love you." I made sad chirping sounds in disbelief. Doctors came in and took him away.
A few days later, we had a funeral for Takeshi and I was eventually taken to a lenarion center so I can find a new home. And that's why I am here. Now you know why I wear this bandanna. It is a very precious memento from Takeshi. A friend that I can never forget.

How He Got His Bandana:
When he was young, Bandit often boasted that he was a fearless outlaw and master thief. Bandit's friends were rather skeptical of his claims (and rightly so as it turned out), especially as his stories grew more wild and extravagant. One day, they decided to give Bandit a dare—steal one item of his choice from one of the stores on the second floor of a large mall. Bandit was caught in quite a pickle then. Either undertake a robbery with absolutely no experience or admit that he had been lying. He accepted the dare.

Needless to say, Bandit had little clue on how to go about his crime. With the excuse of not wanting to be chased out of the city for a serious robbery just yet, Bandit chose a discount costume shop instead of the huge electronics store that took up most of the floor (much to the disappointment of the other Lenarions). But aside from that, he had no plan when he found himself standing in front of the shop with the other Lenarions watching from a distance. As painfully nervous as he was, Bandit refused to give up and went in.

Poor little Bandit very nearly got caught as he looted a lone bargain bin filled with colorful cloths. Though he dropped most of them on the way out, Bandit managed to carry a single dark green bandana with him. It couldn't have been worth more than a dollar, but Bandit still felt like he'd pulled off the crime of the century. The group of Lenarion spectators were unimpressed, but satisfied. Well, Bandit's ego was inflated three sizes that day, and he wore the bandana as a sort of trophy. It remains on his neck to this day, albeit a little dirtied up.

Hey all, just in case you haven't read the news post, I'm going to be going on a short hiatus for the next little while to spend time with my boyfriend that I haven't seen in person for two years. I'll pop on to judge the current set, but then Cion and Des will be in charge of the release of the next set or two. If you've got any questions, I will be getting on for a moment in the evenings or early mornings to grab the advent calendar releases, so feel free to send me a PM and I'll try to get back with you as soon as possible.
