Cocción and Violencia padded along side each other, their quiet footsteps echoed as the crunch of dry dirt under paw compressed underneath their weight. The two siblings barely looked at each other while they traveled side by side. One of the wolves was smaller then the other, more delicate. While the other was more built and seemed more confident with each stride she took. Both were different from each other, a lot different for that matter. One had a soft brown coat with sparks of violet here and there. Wings folded gracefully at her sides and armor on her legs were a soft purple tint. Her tail, unlike her sister was short cropped, a bob. On the other hand, the other wolf was various shades of violet and blue. Her eyes a shining silver and instead of wings, a wing pattern was decorated on her shoulders. Feathers graced her long plume like tail and her leg armor was a soft silver.
Both were alpha's of their tribe, after their father had died in battle. As they padded along they heard a voice strong throughout the still forest surrounding them. The rustling of excitement constantly disturbing the peacefulness of the nature around them. In unison two pairs of ears twitched with irritation and the disruption. With a hot huff the two wolves padded step by step, together, to the sound that had made them finally look at each other. Dusty dirt turned into hard gray stones as they followed a path. Iron gates soon was fallen behind them as they made their way to the sound. As time continued on they found themselves in an unfamiliar area, perhaps a land if specific. The wolves found themselves among others, stirring restlessly with excitement. The two were dumbfounded as they saw a small fox like creature speaking on what seemed like a stage. Tears had fallen from the warrior's eyes and instantly the blue hued wolf understood. The brown one stood their, watching until finally as the warrior finished did the two sister's look at each other. Violet eyes matching silver in an unspoken agreement. The two stepped up together, in unison onto the altar before the tearful warrior.
Cocción spoke first, the violet eyes wolf dipped her head politely to the smaller warrior.
"Sir Keego." she said respectfully, her bob tail twitching slightly at the name. The alpha watched her sister sizing the smaller warrior and eyeing his weapon. A small growl of annoyance at her sister's arrogance and impoliteness made her slightly angry. She shouldered the blue wolf so she stumbled slightly before giving her attention back to the toffee Faerre.
"I am Cocción, and this is my sister Violencia. We are the alpha's of our tribe south of this land you call your home." she paused considering what else she should say.
"My..apologizes for my sister, she is quick to a battle. A good heartened warrior however." she nodded slightly .
"Myself on the other hand tends to lean towards strategy. I often prefer to seek a peaceful solution before going into battle." she eyed her sister with what seemed like a death glare. The young wolf quickly shook out her fur, and nodded again to Keego.
"In all honesty, I believe my sister will have more of an appeal to you. Yes..I do have my sparring moments, but I prefer to lead my pack mates safely without combatives unless necessary." Cocción paused, considering her words.
"However, I will include in my part of our words that if you were to come with us, to our homeland, you would have to prove yourself to our tribe. Hard work and determination will get you far in our land, not just the skills of a warrior." she nodded with satisfaction, nudging her sister with her nuzzle for attention.
Violenica shook her head to clear it of her flashback moment. The blue hued wolf dipped her head briefly to the smaller warrior, her silver eyes briefly flickering of doubt that one so small could have so much courage, spirit, but yet compassion, and a heart in his soul. She paused before speaking, tipping her head to the right, her tail flicking back and forth the feathers gracing her tail swaying gently back and forth to her movements.
"My sister has already given you my name, which is Violencia.." she paused once again, taking a quiet breath.
"I am too, an alpha. My sister and I share our role, however I lead more packmates into battle more then she. Our tribe follows the code we have set for many generations. To fight with honor, know when your battle is won, to have mercy, and to show your compassion." she sighed quietly, her silver eyes looking around up at the sky, as if looking for something, or some one.
"You see, my sister and I weren't always so close to each other. When we were younger, we were close yes. But I had jealously in my blood, that she had wings and I didn't. But our parents always saw us differently, and we are different. She prefers strategy and peace, while I battle and honor." she nodded slightly.
"But...I was once lost. In a great battle not too long ago, about two full moons to e semi-exact. The battle was with another tribe, they had tried to move into our territory. Cocción had tried to reason, against my will with the other tribe. Asking, negotiating...dealing trying to get them to either join tribes together or share the land. They refused, thinking us weak and not wanting to fight. They were a cold blooded pack, wanting nothing more then blood shed and to conqueror. My father led the warriors into the battle, at the head, chin high, proud, determination to protect his family...They fought back without dignity, they fought with brute force with no mercy. That is how he died, he is a legacy. At the jaws of the other leader, teeth around his neck.." Violencia's voice trailed off to a pained tone, flinching at the memory.
"It was my fault, I was there, I should have helped. With all honesty, Keego I should have saved him. But I froze, I was unsure. The look in my father's eyes, he told me to stay back, to leave this fight to him. I..I could have helped, but I didn't. I suppose he wanted to live his last moments with pride, to defend his tribe at all costs." she shook her head, her strong position slouching slightly as she stared at the stone cold and grey stone underneath their paws.
"As I helped carry him back to the camp, we had won the battle if you must know. I fell into despair, just...just nothing could bring me back to the reality before me. Training was just another routine for the day, patrolling borders, everything just something next on the list. I didn't enjoy anything I loved anymore!" she frowned, blinking away tears of frustration.
Cocción, catching her sister wavering, fading from the moment gently licked her sister's cheek. Slight worry clouded her gaze as she watched her sister's gaze fade from the world slightly.
Violencia blinked a few times, at the feeling of her sister's tongue rasping over her cheek. She shook her head to clear it, regaining her previous state.
"But the elder's of our tribe decided we should be the new rightful leaders, the alpha's of the tribe. That's what woke me up. The fact that I could still protect the thing my father died fighting for. His family, his tribe, his honor. He died so we could live, and I promised to honor that." she sighed, her voice wavering at the end. She cleared her throat, dropping her piercing silver gaze.
"Not a day goes by that I don't dream of that battle. That i was the coward that didn't help, that he may still be living if I had just disobeyed his wish just once. But also, not a day goes by that I don't think I can still honor him, and be his loyal daughter by staying strong and fighting for what he loved." she offered a tiny smile to the young Warrior Faerre.
"My sister and I would be honored if a warrior like you, someone who isn't afraid to shed his tears for what he loves. But like Cocción said, you would have to earn your honorable place, but the tribe could use the skills of a different kind. But still a warrior pure of heart, is also the same of any warrior...isn't it." she sighed softly her silver eyes shining like the moon.
Cocción smiled at her sister with pride, then looked to Keego.
"A warrior pure of heart can win any battle, he or she knows when to show mercy, when to rejoice in victory, when to honor their fallen, and when to defend those they love. But a warrior pure of heart can still make mistakes, but those mistakes determine who they will soon be. Whether a loyal member, or a fallen angel. A warrior that can raise their chin in pride, or when to shed their tears for love, happiness, pride, or for the fallen. But those tears do not mean weakness, they mean strength. That you are able to drop those small pearls of water with honor that you are a warrior, pure of heart." Cocción smiled softly dipping her head once more to the Faerre.
"We wish you well on your journey, the choice you make is yours to hold. B that warrior, pure of heart." the two alpha's said together, in unison. Before they both dipped their heads, before raising their chins and letting out a soft howl to the sky above, to their tribe, to their fallen, for Keego and what he cherishes. They nodded politely before bounding off the stage and onto the grassy hills. Cocción took to the sky, letting out a small howl, and Violencia from the ground below matching it.
