Lol yeah, competition scares me. But I might try to make a form tonight for it. Maybe...maybe~
And I just like the wild dog's lineart and idea better. I like floofy things better.

Tracker Dog you want: 17
Name you'll give it: Jerry
Reason why you want it: I adore the soft colours used for this Tracker, greys and orange are often a favourite of mine and so I am very happy to see a Tracker with this colour scheme. I also think his design is gorgeous, the markings are very much something I really like.
As soon as I saw him I had an idea for his story, everything about him just spoke to me and I knew I had to try for him. I have so many ideas for this guy, for art, for stories, mini plots in other short story’s am I writing.
Will it be used in any kind of story? Oh yes definitely. I've got loads of ideas for this guy.
Describe its personality: Personality: Jerry is a very quiet Tracker, he’s focused and driven performing his job efficiently and with passion. He’s never going to be loud and outgoing but is quietly affectionate to his partner.
He is a very alert and intelligent tracker, assessing situations quickly and moving through challenges carefully, minimising any risk to the people he rescues. He’s at home in the city and loves walking round the familiar streets at night, enjoying the peace that folds over the roads and sidewalks.
A peaceful Tracker he isn’t one to stress about anything, he’s very laid back and relaxed which makes him good to have around in high pressure situations.
His relaxed attitude also helps to calm the people he is sent to rescues, his docile manner setting people as ease quickly, enabling them to be rescued faster.
Once he has found someone to work with he likes he is loyal to that Partner, listening to them and working in complete harmony.
He's always happy to accept a gentle pat or a stroke.
Write an introduction for your Tracker:
The tracker moved quickly, his eyeless face moving from side to side seeking the object he needed. A long tongue hung from his mouth, his long ears held high above his head as his sturdy legs carried him across the room.
Silence to a human was a world of noise to this sleek seeker, the low snuffling of an exhausted tear stained human was easily heard in this dark silent room. Alone but for his objective the tracker moved with slow deliberate steps, aware of the weak structure beneath his paws.
Drawing closer to the ragged breathing of the human he lowered himself to the floor, approaching slowly and quietly as he had done on so many missions.
The human would not be able to see him in the pitch black room, the floor becoming uneven creaked under the trackers paws sending a fresh wave of hysteria through what the Tracker had identified as a woman.
He let out a low whine, indicating he was not a human or a threat, her sobs stopped abruptly as if in shock and her heavy breathing quickened.
‘He…hello?’ she said almost breathlessly, the tremor of fear in her voice tangible, even to human ears.
Navigating the uneven and broken floor the Tracker closed the gap on the woman, careful of the delicate beams under him.
Soon he was in front of her, her head and torso above floor level, the rest of her out of sight under the floorboards. Extending his head towards her the Tracker whined again, letting her reach out to touch him and staying perfectly still as her shaking hand touched his forehead, she flinched and drew her hand back before touching him again, this time bravely rubbing his head.
He moved himself forward her hand running over his head and down to his neck, where her hand found a collar and harness.
‘Are…are you here, to help me?’ she whispered gripping the soft harness over his shoulders.
Nuzzling her arm softly he let out a low throaty noise, like a purr, he heard her take a breath and sniff hard, bracing herself bravely.
‘Ok. I’m ready’ she patted his smooth back softly and taking the soft pat as a signal he started to back up slowly, his ears on high alert for any noise that might indicate she was in pain. Tense minuets passed as he slowly pulled her from the whole in the floor, bearing the weight and quietly creeping back, one paw at a time.
As her legs slowly emerged from the hole her breathing picked up and she started to cry again, the sound this time awash with relief. She sat on the floor for a moment, holding her face in her hands and letting the tears flow freely. Resting his head against her shoulder the tracker waited for her to calm herself, a low rumbling in his chest helping to soothe the sobbing woman.
Composing herself she got unsteadily to her feet, tripping on a jutting beam and having to steady herself, the tracker stayed at her side, guiding her slowly and carefully out of the darkness, leaving the room and taking her down and out of the building.
As the medics tended to her the Tracker sat on the sidelines alone.
A few hours later the woman had introduced herself to the fire department and medics as Skye, her smudged ivory skin framed by messy blonde hair was covered in streaks of dust and grime, wide blue eyes full of exhaustion looked quietly out at the people surrounding her.
‘So what happened?’
‘As we understand it Miss you were trapped in the earthquake, we had an anonymous tip that you were in that room and we came to rescue you’
‘I was…locked in?’
‘It appears you were kidnapped tonight, a random attack from what we can gather. The call came just after the quake hit’
‘Oh’ she blinked and looked at the floor, shuddering as she realised what could have happened ’where is the….?’
‘Tracker’ the black haired policeman smiled at her ‘he’s outside, he’s a loner, hangs about round the station and helps out on rescues like this’
‘Oh, he hasn’t an owner…partner…um’ she asked curiously wondering what the correct definition was
‘Never found anyone he liked enough to partner’ the guy shrugged lightly ‘so you don’t remember anything?’
‘Not from before, I just woke up in the dark’
‘Well, if you remember anything, be sure to let us know’
‘Of course sir’ she nodded ’what’s his name?’
The cop felt sorry for her, the girl couldn’t be more than 19, yet here she was. Trapped, kidnapped and yet still sat in front of him asking about the Tracker.
‘Doesn’t really have one, rumour had it he had a young partner, a boy. More interested in have a Tracker than anything. He escaped and has been hanging around ever since. We call him Jerry though’
She nodded quietly lost in thought for a moment. The door was flung open a second later making her jump, a young receptionist poked her head around.
‘Jerry wont stop barking at the door, I’m going to have to let him in’
‘Go ahead’ the cop nodded.
A moment later the sound of claws on the lino could be heard, curiously Skye sat up and tilted her head as Jerry bounded round the corner. He stopped quickly and padded slowly over to her, his head low as he sensed her. Forgetting to be careful she flung her arms round the tracker and hugged him tight.
‘Thank you so much’ she whispered fiercely in one of his long ears, with a whine he nuzzled her shoulder gently, clearly pleased to see her, his thin tail waving slowly behind him.
‘Well looks like he’s taken a shine to you’ the cop murmured amused ‘anyway you can go home now, do you have a way to get there?’
‘Its just round the corner’ Skye smiled letting go of Jerry and standing up ‘thank you’ shaking hands with the cop she turned to leave, Jerry sticking to her heel quietly.
‘Looks like someone wants to go with’ the cop raised an eyebrow and laughed
‘Oh, sorry’ she turned to the Tracker ‘stay here’ she mumbled quietly, suddenly feeling close to tears.
‘its ok, he isn’t technically ours. If he follows you your welcome to him’ the guy shrugged and held the door for him ‘just keep up the good work’
Skye nodded eagerly ‘of course we will, don’t worry about that sir!’
‘Well good, its about time he had someone to partner’
‘Do you have trackers here then?’ she asked suddenly curious
‘Oh yes, we have our own Tracker team. That’s why its always been a shame for poor Jerry here’
‘Thank you Sir, I’m sure we’ll meet again’
‘I’d count on it’ he gave her a friendly smile as she walked out past him.
She grinned as she walked out the doors of the station, Jerry stood proud and strong at her side, his head tilted slightly as he nuzzled her hand gently.
‘Well then Jerry, where too’
