Extra (story, personality, etc.);;Gio doesn't remember his beginnings. All he remembers is rocks. Rocks, rocks, and even more rocks. For all he knows, he was born to a family of rocks. One day, the rocks all disappeared, and he was left. He doesn't know why. He doesn't know who did it, either. All he knows is that his life there was gone.
He remembers a truck. In the truck, he thinks he was in a box of more rocks. He couldn't tell.
The only true memory he has is waking up in a cage. The first thing he saw when his eyes flickered open was his tail; it looked like crystals. He isn't like others. He's noticed that ever since he came to the pound. Due to this, he doubts he'll ever get out. But maybe he will. One day..

Extra (story, personality, etc.);;
Mistral sat quietly in his kennel. He wondered how long it would be before he finally got out of this prison. Sure, they fed him and all, but it was nothing compared to being free. As he pondered, he began having flashbacks of when he was younger and lived with freedom. How did such a perfect day go so terribly wrong?
It wasn't much, but he lived with his mother in a nest towards the top of a mountain. They had each other, and that's all that mattered to them. She cared for him better than anyone had ever. For what could be more needed than a mother's unconditional love? He remembers it all so clearly. Especially the day everything changed.
It was a surprisingly warm February day like any other. He woke up, ate, and his mother went out. Nothing unusual. He did his usual activities that morning; he climbed trees, gathered nuts to store for later, and even gathered pebbles from outside their nest, arranging them in a special way, all for his mother. He scurried inside the nest and waited patiently for her to come home. When the time that she usually came home at passed, he thought nothing of it. He knew sometimes she took a bit extra time to do nice things for him, because that's just who she was. He only began to worry nearly an hour later. She never was an hour late. Fifteen minutes, maybe, but not an hour.. He had scampered outside to get a look around. His mother was no where to be seen. He dashed down the mountain, looking for any sign that she had been there. He looked for what felt like hours, only to come up with nothing. He climbed up a tree and sat there, silently crying to himself. He didn't know how, but he somehow knew his mother probably wasn't coming back. As the sky turned to night, he heard branches crunch beneath him. He tried peering down to see what made the noise, but ended up crashing down. A net caught him, and his vision went black.
When he woke up, he lay in a cold, steel cage. Behind him were two bowls, one for food and the other for water, as well as a blanket. He cried out his mother's name, but no response. All he could hear were other squirrels, at least 10, moving around in their own cages.
In hind sight, he probably should have made friends. Who knew how long before he'd be adopted? Would anyone actually want to adopt him anyway? He didn't look like the typical squirrel; his tail was much longer, his eyes glowed a golden shade. If his own mother left him, why would any person dare look at him? He stood up, walking around a bit before lying down to take a nap. He'd just have to wait until someone came for him.

PS's Name ;; Addie
Kennel Number ;; 11
Extra (story, personality, etc.);;Addie was your typical, normal squirrel. She wasn't anything special, and she had no special markings either. Her coat was as pure as it could be; as white as a cloud. She was unwanted, and she assumed the reason was because of her coat. Never once did she stop and think what else could have been the reason for why she was in the pound. She desperately wanted to be anyone other than herself. When the pound animals went on a trip, she saw it as her opportunity. She dashed to a costume store, and found a bear costume. There was only one left, and it was exactly her size. Ever since then, she's worn it, refusing to take it off for anything. Somehow in her mind, she thinks wearing it boosts her chances of being picked. Who knows, maybe it does?
