"Xalia!!"

"huh?" a short and young brunette manages to catch the echo as it bounces off the trees.
She stumbles across a think root sticking itself up and out of the ground as if its sole purpose was to trip unwary humans.
"uh. stupid tree." she grumbled.
she stood up to brush off the dirt from her jeans and green t-shirt.
"if only i had a cat or a dog to lick my face whenever i fell or hurt myself." she thought.
The young girl, known as Laila (not my actual name) was a clutz. she tripped and fell so many times, her bruses got bruises.
"Laila! Hurry up and deliver the package to Uncle Jeffory!" her mother yelled from a far distance.
Laila sighed, knowing that seeing her Uncle Jeffory was gonna keep her awhile and that her mother just wanted her away from the house to stop breaking stuff. She started to walk but gradually increased speed to try and get it over with. She knew the way by heart.
"through the Haie Forest, past the clearing, across the river, then through the... *THUD*" she talked aloud.
"what the..." she muttered.

As she looked down a small and furry cat like creature was laying down in the soft grass. It began to stare at Laila and she returned the gaze. Suddenly, Laila decided to examine the creature.
"hm... small, fluffy....multi colored eyes...overall...Cute! You must be Xaila!" Laila began to stroke the soft creature.
" oh i wish you were my pet.....then i would have someone to talk to and to sleep with," Laila began dreamily. " Then i wouldnt be all alone and i would have someone to love. Are you alone little one? I guess you could come with me if you'd like but it isnt necessary...
But if you want to i dont want to suprise you with anything. Let me tell you about myself. I am Laila. Im really clumbsy but i like animals. I like drawing and singing. So would you like to be my friend and pet? i have to go now but if you would like to i live over that away." Laila points north. " Here a gift for you." Laila sets a carefully made leaf crown in front of Xalia and then she gets up and walks toward her UNcle's home.

At around the time of sunset, Lalia sets to go back home. She reaches the clearing and then begins to think of Xalia.
" strange. she has a similar name to mine.."
She begins to search for Xalia and when she spots her she begins to quietly make her way over to her. She notices that Xalia is still sitting there.
"maybe she hasnt decided yet. i will give her more time" Laila thinks as she begins to lay down next to her. As time goes by, nightfall comes. Laila gives Xalia one last pat and rests her head on the soft grass to sleep.

"Xalia!" a loud mysterious voice called

Aiki whipped her head up from the books she was reading such a beautiful name...Xalia she thought as she put her books and sketch pad in her bag and set off towards the voice I wonder who could possess such a beautiful name Aiki climbed and ducked the many fallen trees in her path.

As she stumbled into the large meadow she realized that I was late afternoon, she went into the woods very early in the morning and now to emerge at...she looked at her watch...4:15! She was ment to be home at 2:30. She looked around at the orange, gold and yellow sky and the light brown and gold grass swaying in the late autumn breeze I will have to come back here and sketch such beauty she thought as something caught her eye at first she thought it was a feral cat and she slowly backed up but curiosity got the better of her and she slowly walked towards the creature and on a closer inspection she realized that in fact it wasn't a feral cat but a Xenas one with the colours of deep brown and green and blue eyes,

She stood there admiring the Xenas and pulled her sketch pad and pencils out. She sat down in the soft grass at an angle, studying the marks on her side. Beautiful range of green and blue lines over her body and front legs, she started to sketch her body, the slender arch of its back, the beautiful shape of her face to the tip of her tail which looked very soft and was the colour of dark chocolate, she then looked her eyes one was the colour of the sky a beautiful blue and one with a grassy spring green.

Aiki remembered that a Xenas can be a great companion I've never had a proper companion she thought as she thought of ways to convince this wonderful creature "I've never met a Xenas before, never thought you would be this calm either" she started babbling on "I've never even had a pet, unless you count my sisters dog... But then it hates me, won't let me come near it, it won't even be in the same room as me... Its like it hates me" she said as she watched the Xenas "well what I'm try to say here and I'm failing miserably... Would you like to be my companion?... I... I can make sure you are well looked after and promise many days of joyous laughter... And lots of art like this" she said as she held up the sketch book with the drawing oh her, she then drew her name in the most beautiful way with intricate lines and swirls. "I'm planning on traveling and would appreciate the company when I leave school, I only have a few years left but I have enough money to travel" she said as she thought about her dream trip to Russia "I live with my mum and younger sister... My father was murdered when I was young and my sister was only 2 months old she barely knew him" she said as a tear escaped her eye. "I really hope you will consider my offer to become my companion" she said as she drew herself sitting in the field with Xalia as the sunset became a sky lit up with a thousand stars and the biggest moon she had ever seen.
