Tracker Dog Application Series 1
Username: Ananda98777
Tracker Dog you want: #2
Name you'll give it: Cota
Reason why you want it: Because she seems a soft, kind type of tracker, and for some reason she seems really motherly. Like, fierce, but only when protecting. I thought she would make a wonderful guardian for chanty and companion for Pat (who is pat?)
Will it be used in any kind of story? Oh coarse. Now that I have my tabby (tablet) I shall be working on a graphic novel of all my characters and in particular my newest one Pat.
Describe its personality: Cota is a fair, loving creature. She is loyal and very protective. She loves to play and let loose and her favorite activity is running, but she knows when to calm down and work. She is not prone to outbursts but will, on occasion, break the code of silence while working to correct someone or call out to someone if they, say, are being followed or she smells something or someone unknown nearby. She is stubborn and just the slightest bit snotty when with people she dislikes but she (usually) manages to keep her temper down when with friends. She is efficient and usually organized but can be a little scatter-brained and sometimes/usually, forgets thing, like names and dates and such.
Write an introduction for your Tracker: (Thia is her constantly running inner monologue. Kind of like a diary in her head. She likes to record everything so she can go over it later)
"Go on Cota, it's time for you to meet your new family," that's what he said, what did he say his name was? R. Something with an R. Rodger? Rick? Randolf? No. Oh bother, I have never been good with names. Well, Mr. R is the man who is showing me to my new job. I have been training in this facility for 2 years now. They say I am ready to be adopted, that I am needed to help a young tracker and her owner, then something about snow. What is snow? Well, I guess I will find out soon.
Mr. R leads me down a long, white hall and through a door. The door closes behind us as we walk down another hallway. I can faintly smell other trackers and some people.Hm, interesting. And, something else, delicately I taste the air, focusing on this new smell, not human, not tracker, could it be another animal? Very interesting.
Another door, another hall. There is only one door at the end, weird, why a hall with only one door, couldn't they just extend the room on the other side? It'd be more cost efficient now wouldn't it? Mr. R goes up to the door and stops. What's he waiting for? All the other doors just opened automatically. He's fumbling in his pocket, OH! That makes sense, he pulls out a card and swipes it in a little machine that beeps and the door opens.
A wave of new smells flood my nose, for a moment I pause but Mr. R pulls me along. Impatient man. I can tell there are many people in here. And other trackers, and some other animals I don't know of. Impatient Mr. R tugs my lead again and I snap at him and sit down, refusing to move. He sighs and walks back over towards me. HEY! He just picked me up, I hate being carried, it makes me feel like a child. I squirm, he holds tighter, I give up. He stops.
The animal smells are even stronger now. "Here ya go miss-" he pauses.
"Ananda," A woman, such a sweet voice she has. Is she my new owner? "Is this Cota? Oh she is beautiful! So your sure she will be alright with my other animals?" I can sense she is surrounded by animals, I still don't know what they are, these seem, different than trackers, some don't even have legs! How do they get around? Silly creatures. how do they ever live like that? To they have people who carry them? They must. Seems a tad needy in my eyes, or rather, lack there of.
"Yes miss. She loves company," well isn't that a load of hooey Mr. R? I give a slight growl but he doesn't seem to notice.
"Well then," the woman seems to be speaking to me now. "Cota, I am pleased to welcome you into my family! Is there anymore paperwork I need to fill out or can I take her now?" To Mr.R again.
"Nope, you seem to be in order, just call us up if you have any trouble," He sets me down, not very gently I might add. The woman grabs my lead and Mr. R leaves.
She stoops down and pats me on the head. "Hello. Cota. I'm Ananda. Are you ready to work?" I smile, I certainly am.
So, Her name is Ananda, she loves animals, she own one other tracker, Chanterelle, just a pup, so sweet, that I am supposed to guard and help train, and many other animals who mostly don't have any purpose. She is to be my new owner and right now I am in a 'car' driving to a 'mountain'. So much is new to me. She says I will like the snow, I am not so sure. Her other animals are very loud, I much prefer the quiet, but Chanterelle seems nice, She is cuddled up beside me, sleeping. She is training for avalanche rescue, and I am to help her with that. Sounds like fun.
