Yes they can feel emotion, they are just like any other animal just with a tangible consience, it's almost 'alive' in a sense that they can communicate with their host.
As far as what kind of bird I was thinking something along the lines of albino raven? Just because they are much more rare than doves which fits with the rarity of the whitewinged Fayble.
Yes, these do exsist in a reality, so they could run into wolves and normal foxes and critters like that ^^ even humans if you want.
The last question has kind of a vauge answer because it's basically like the blackwing tricked the whitewing into doing something bad. For example, a blackwing could tell a normal fox that another truly innocent animal is planning on doing something horrible in which case the blackwing would sway the regular fox into killing said framed animal and as a result turning the regular Fayble into a whitewing (The act that causes to Fayble to become a Fayble should be much more severe than just one murder though XP). It's kind of a bad example but that's the concept of it. However what the Fayble did to become a Fayble is completely up to it's new owner.

When only one parent is a Fayble it is a one in a million chance to have a baby Fayble instead of a normal baby.
When both parents are Faybles, the 'Fayble' trait is recessive and in that recessive trait the whitewing trait is super recessive.. Did that make sense?
In other words yes it can be passed down but it is super super rare. The only way you have a good chance of getting a whitewing baby is when both parents are whitewings but for the most part whitewings are female.. Sorry if this is scattered I'm kind of figuring this all out right now ^^;
