Number: 4
Picture:
Name: Detrich (last name pending...)
Species: Kunming Wolf-dog (at least, that's what he thinks..)
Personality: Detrich is harsh and cold. His temper and quick wit earn him more enemies then friends. He does have a soft side, but he has kept himself shuttered for so long, some wonder if he is made of stone. His view on life is very pestimistic, and he rarely smiles. Despite all this, Detrich is furiously loyal, willing to kill anyone who threatens someone or something he holds dear. Detich follows an unwritten code of honor, and though he doesn't follow all the rules, he would rather be killed then do something he believes is wrong. Of course, he doesn't think his life is worth that much anyway.
Likes: A fair fight, Dusk, Being alone, hunting, and secretly, good classical music.
Dislikes: Many things, particularly a certain optimistic girl, and a guy who wants to kill him. (See background)
Background:
Born in a warring land of anger, strife, and hunger, Detrich lived in a small farm hut with his parents and grandmother for the early part of his life. When he turned eight years old, his country declared war on the neighboring land, who had never threatened them. At nine, he was drafted into military training. All childlike innocent was lost as he learned to hunt, fight, and suffer in silence. His piercing and tattoo's indicate his rise into the rank when he completed training at fourteen. He did not actually meet an enemy in battle until he was sixteen. His emotions numbed and his teeth sharp, he fought for his country, developing a keen hatred for those who didn't belong to the army, his side. He was only nineteen when he dashed into a battle, but never came out. His black fur stained with blood, his legs covered with mud, and all hope lost, he lay on the battle field. Alive, but only for now. Just as a cleansing rain began to fall, he heard gentle female voice...his mother? Was he dying? The pain faded away as he slipped into blackness.
He wasn't dead, but when he opened his eyes, it was nearly mid-day and the muddy trenches of the battlefield were replaced with the damp forest floor. A young female canine sat beside him, and her mouth widened in a huge grin when she saw him awake. Detrich grew concerned. Why was she smiling? He uttered a low growl, but before he could speak he was startled by the presence of a large, brown wolf, his eyes dark and unimpressed.
This started a new chapter of Detrich's life. He was found and cared for by the young she-wolf, Alynn. Her friend and traveling companion, Byron, wasn't impressed by Detrich's cold and rude words to Alynn. Detrich stays with these two wolves, who are not from his country, and begins to learn of life outside the army. Eventually, Byron and Detrich become friends, and Detrich develops a bit of affection for Alynn. But when the battle lines are drawn, and the warhorn sounds, Detrich will have to choose his loyalties. He has nothing to win and everything to lose.
Other: I would like it if Detrich's markings are tattoo's, but if that's not OK, I won't. I might add a simple necklace, but that's it. Oh, and if possible, could I change the eye color to green?
Detrich is a character from my story, thus, character information, exc. is (c) ME.
