Tell me a bit about your charm!
The sun and the moon. As time flows, they gravitate ever closer to one another.
The moon is dull, it is nothing, without the sun. It is dark, cold, and desolate without it.
The sun does not need the moon in order to shine. The sun is the life-giver, seemingly eternal.
The life of such a being can feel so long; in the end, however, it always seems that it is cut so shortโ only a flicker in the existence of the universe. The signaling of the end of a star's lifetime is first marked by its growth into a giant, glowing so bright it burns. The hottest, brightest stars of all are also the most short-lived.
The sun, who shines so brilliantly, was always doomed. The moon, drawn to its light in belief it'd never leave, was willingly scarred by the heat. In its naรฏvetรฉ, the moon is helpless to its pull, and in turn would be irreparably destroyed upon the inevitable end. The sun is beautiful, and loved, and its end is wondrously horrible.
But no matter how great the loss, time will march forward untouched.
