Tell me a bit about your charm!
The Bircheye charm appeared to be fairly innocuous as it rested in a small pile of freshly shed leaves - unusual only in the fact that there were no trees nearby to have produced them. It was a crescent moon shaped charm made half of thin, pale birch bark, complete with a single eye shaped etching, and half pale blue crystal. Rich, burnished bronze gleamed from the center of the crystal half of the charm, reflecting a warm light into the crystal facets. Fastened to the charm were a pair miniaturized birch leaves, perfect in every way other than their unusually small size. Iridescent green ribbon wrapped the crystal half and secured a bronze-based tassel of black-striped teal feathers. The charm was a pleasing mixture of textures and colors - it was unclear how it had been crafted; its many features appeared to be organic in nature, growing into each other seamlessly.
It wasn't until nightfall that the charm's other features made themselves known. As the sun set, the etched eye softened, gleaming like a wet marble before rapidly spinning and blinking. A pair of spindly legs protruded from the bases of snapped twigs at the base of the charm. Shaking itself, the charm stood, swaying. Pale mist rose off the crystalline top, twinkling and glowing with a soothing blue white light, almost like pillowed clouds on a warm summer day. Although disturbing, the charm itself did not seem to bear any ill will, and spent most of the night scurrying across the ground, pausing to disturb the soil with its feet and plant what appeared to be birch seeds produced at the base of its leaves. It was silent, other than a the occasional warble or trill when seeking out a new spot. Eventually, as the sun rose, the charm turned in a small circled, shedding a new nest of leaves and retracted its legs, coming to a rest once again. The eye blinked slowly before drying out and falling lifeless as the morning sun peeked over the horizon.
