The seer has a kit with them today, one with a shock of sea-green mane and uncloven hooves. "Sorry, I hope you don't mind, I brought my nibling Surf along today to learn the trade!" Unfortunately, Surf doesn't get to learn much from Clyde's visit, as the seer can't turn anything up. Ah well, maybe next time..On the way out, the seer calls, "Wait!" They give Clyde 10 CE for visiting as a thank you!

Ember poses for the seer like one would for a class photo, fluffing zir mane and waiting anxiously. Surf, the seer's nibling, watches with amusement. The seer gives it their best shot, but comes up with nothing. "It's just so tricky!" they complain. They sigh and slide Ember 10 CE as a thanks for stopping by. "Don't expect this to be a regular thing!" they warn. "But you know, it's bring-your-tiny-relative-to-work day and, well, I want to make a good impression."

Tad Cooper comes in right after Ember. The seer looks him up and down appraisingly. "You have a LOT of traits!" They laugh. "Well, let's see what else we can find." The seer and their young relative both close their eyes. The kit, Surf, hums to themselves quietly as both Chimes concentrate. Then, the seer opens their eyes in a flash of realization. "You have Mop Mane!" Huh!

Kristin flounces in to visit the Seer and sits down primly. Next to the seer, a small orange kit with kid horns sits, looking at Kristin with admiration. "So cool," she just hears the kit breathe. "Shhhh, Surf," the seer says not unkindly, and then they set to work after only the briefest of hellos. They search, and they ponder, and they analyze, and they sift. But after nearly ten minutes, Surf gets impatient and begins fidgeting, snapping the seer from their trance. "I'm sorry, I can't seem to find anything this time. But here's some Cat's Eyes to get a treat instead." They give Kristin 10 CE.

Yep! You can send up to 3 total Chimes for activities at any given time. So, for instance, you could have 2 Chimes visit the Seer and another one learn from a friend's Chime, or all three go to the Seer. This might change as we get more people, but Chimeleons is a small enough community I want to allow lots of activity.

Gable enters the seer's tent with a look of determination. Unfortunately, the seer has a look of burnout. They give Gable a weary greeting and set to work. But even though they do try, they don't turn anything up. "Well, I might not know what hidden traits you have, but I do know you have 10 more Cat's Eyes now!" They slip a small paw-full of the stones to Gable.

Sandy's visit brings excitement for the seer's little nibling Surf, who is the mascot-sibling of all Candy Shores Chimes! "Wow, that's fun!" The seer exclaims. They close their eyes and concentrate hard on what hidden traits might be swirling under the surface in Sandy's magical blood. But after a while, they crack one eye open, peeking at Sandy, and give a nervous laugh. "I can't seem to find anything this time... Sorry! But uh, here's some spending money as a thanks for visiting us!" They give Sandy 10 CE!

Alithe trots into the Seer's tent, surprised to see Surf the perpetual kit sitting with them. "I'm LEARNING!" Surf beams. Alithe makes an excellent subject for the seer to demonstrate on, even if what they're showing Surf is how even the best efforts can come up short. "I'm sorry, I didn't find anything new," the seer admits. "But here's some pocket money as a thanks for visiting us!" They give him 10 CE.

Jamine has a bit more luck. When she comes in, the seer immediately scurries over. "Whoa, sit down, hurry up, yep, stay just like that." They run back around their little table and sit, tilting their head from one side to the other like an artist evaluating perspective before beginning to paint. "You practically have Skunk RADIATING off of you!" They pause as their young visitor Surf, who has been watching with rapt attention, bursts out in giggles. "Well, COAT: Skunk, I mean. The marking. I can see it's in your blood!"

Sherbet's visit to the seer is a long one. The seer studies her carefully in their mind's eye, sifting through all the echoes and whispers of traits their ancestors learned of. Next to them, their protege Surf seems to be trying to mimic them, by tilting their head around like a cartoon owl, eyes closed and brow crinkled. But eventually the seer lets out a soft sigh and says, "Nothing new this time, I'm afraid. Why don't you take this for a pick-me-up treat." They hand over 10 CE.
