Silver Import Vouchers will allow you to request a semi-custom bannochi once the main thread is up and running~

They can also stay in your co-op inventory until you're ready to use them, once that's set up.

Thank-you everyone for the insightful, thoughtful responses! They've been super helpful getting me to make some decisions and put together a proper "to-do" list.

I probably won't worry about getting all the base edits done up before setting up a proper thread, but I would like to have everything ready for field work/foraging and the shop.

I've edited the second post of this thread to keep track of my progress and share images as I complete them.

Q. Should the full genotype be known to the adopter? Or should this be kept secret and discovered through breeding?
Answer: personally, i'm a fan of knowing up front so you can plan breedings (i'm super mega ultra nosy and like to plan).

Q. Would you prefer a baby stage at the cost of smaller litters/less frequent breeding spots?
Answer: oohh, i don't think i have too strong of a preference, but baby stage uma's tend to be rarer imo so i would be interested in a baby stage ! it may also make the uma more 'rare' and collectable.

Q. Should Bannochi be separated into bucks and does, OR should all bannochi be able to breed with each other/bannochi will have no determined gender?
Answer: OHHHH i'm intrigued by the sex seperation just bc i don't see it very often in umas on cs, but its much more realistic to me. i'm a huge genetics nerd, so it adds an element of challenge and complexity to breeding plans !

Q. How do you feel about the current bases? Should they be bigger? Smaller? Does the anatomy need fixing? Should the shading be simplified? Or should there be no shading at all/flat color bases?
Answer: love the size as is, tbh ! smaller tends to look cuter and can be put in siggies etc

Answer: i think some fantasy additions would be cute on the rare occasion!

Answer: I enjoy the idea of it being secret, with the ability to find it out later if you want to. I'm not picky either way though

Answer: I prefer no determined gender just because I am less interested in having to try to get specific genders of any specific Bannochi because I usually only like to have a small amount of pets

Answer: I honestly think the lines are very cute!! The rim lighting is a bit distracting on some of the darker designs but overall very cute and I like it a lot

Answer: I absolutely love fantasy creatures, so the idea of added horns and wings sounds like a lot of fun. Especially if I'd ever like to get a custom of some OCs lol

Answer: I think it's fun not knowing right away and discovering the genotypes later!

Answer: No determined gender! I feel like no determined gender leaves a lot of space for personalization.

Answer: I think the size is perfect! Not too big and not too small. No issue with the shading-

Answer: While it would be adorable, I personally think no baby stage. It’s a lot of extra work and I feel the baby stages tend to get forgotten about once they’re grown.

- Answer: If the genotype is discovered from breeding, I think their should be a feature that allows this to be tracked Like as a "Genopedia".

- Answer: If the whole idea of the UMA focuses on the breeding aspect, I feel having this extra, yet unnecessary stage, would hinder breeding as a whole.

- Answer: I see a lot of users in other UMA that have no determined/given gender add their own "gender identities" to their adopts. But having it open as to not having it mandatory that "buck x doe" only, would greatly increase the amount of possible breedings.

- Answer: I absolutely love the bases they're so cute! I think having a slightly larger base would allow for better detail though as well.

- Answer: Having only realistic features or colors can be really limiting to the possible number of ideas, and breeding outcomes. I'd love to see more fantasy based features like feathered/dragon wings, but as far as colors, I think a bland of realistic and fantasy might be good.

Answer: I believe that the first rounds of adoptions! However I think it would be nice if when breeding, you don't know the genotype of the baby until fully grown! As another commenter said, I like the idea of knowing what pieces I'll be using together in my breeding! x3

Answer: I don't think they should have a determined gender! I think this allows the species to grow at a heightened rate, and also can result in a bunch of cool different Bannochi's!

i'm so fully and completely obsessed with these babies. they remind me so much of furrypaws in the genotying aspect of them! i really really really can't wait to see these babies flourish, and will do anything to ensure their growth <3

Answer: I don't mind much either way; personally, breeding isn't my top priority for species, so I can't give too much input here!

Answer: I'd prefer larger litters/more frequent breeding spots over baby stages! While SUPER cute, I feel like baby forms don't really show off as much as adult stages anyway.

Answer: Free-for-all breeding, and no determined gender!

Answer: I think the bases are super cute and feel perfect size-wise; the only thing I can think of is MAYBE having the tails be slightly thicker, but that's a personal preference. The shading looks so cute too :3

Answer: I like having a mix of semi-realism and fantasy additions, since people can choose which bannochi to show interest in anyway. I love insectoid features but there's nothing wrong with more "plain" litters either!
