Playful Puppies were only recently discovered by mankind. We do not know a lot about them except some behavior patterns we have studied and some of the different mutation of puppies. We have not discovered many mutation and scientists believe that there are a lot of mutations left to discover.

Regular pup

Regular pups were the first pups to be discovered. People have actually known about them for a while now, but they were commonly believed to be a breed of dog, not their own species. Their popularity has grown recently due to the discovery of puppy mutations. Regular pups are very energetic and loving. They make great pets and some have even become working pups!

Tongued pup

Tongues pups have silly personalities. They are able to put their tongues in thier mouths, like regular pups, they just choose not to. They are funny and will try anything. Be careful around the house though, they love breaking things.


Bunny-tailed pup

The first person to discover Bunny-Tailed pups owned a rescue center for lost Playful Puppies, like this one. One day a puppy was left on the doorstep with a stumpy looking tail. The person believed that the pups tail had been removed for some reason and took the pup in. A couple years later she discovered that this pup was a mutation when the pup was bred and had a baby pup with a stump tail too!


Blinking pup

Blinking pups are still quiet a mystery to people. We just know that one day they showed up, and they don't like opening their eyes. They actually move like bats! They bark quietly while moving and listen to their barks bounce off objects, so they don't bump into anything. They are the calmest mutation discovered so far and sleep a lot.


Smile Pup

Look at this happy pup! These pups are always in a good mood and love to play! They were discovered by a girl who adopted a pup while it was still young. She grew up with the pup, and soon realized that the pup never stopped smiling! Since then many other smiling pups have been found.

Angel-Winged Pup

These pups can normally only be found by other winged pups, because they like to stay in the clouds. They can be found by regular pups too, occasionally, while they take a nap in trees or other tall places. No one knows who first discovered them. Scientists are currently trying to discover how their small wings hold up their bodies.

9 Tails Pup

This pup is still being researched, when it was found in the forest, it was mistaken to be a mythical fox before realizing it was just a mutation. These pups are less energetic and are serious. They act like foxes and move like them too. They are rare and its hard to find. (Written by .insanity.)


Kitty Pup

This adorable pup seems to be a mix between a cat and a dog. We aren't entirely sure how a pup mutated to be this way but it sure is cute! These pups tend to act more cat like than other pups and sleep a lot. More information may be found later.

Posting is open, but adopting is not. There are a couple changes here and on the next post:

1. I have reset the staff so if you were apart of the staff before read the rules on the first page and then PM me if you want to be part of the staff again.

2. There is now a limit to the amount of Playful Puppies you can own (10 per person 15 per staff member) if you are over that limit you do not have to get rid of any, but if you want to adopt any more playful Puppies you must get rid of some puppies until you are below that limit (ex. If you have 12 puppies you must get rid of 3 before adopting another puppy) See 3. for how to get rid of puppies.

3. We have opened a Pound for people who do not want some of their puppies anymore. Artists will also occasionally draw individual puppies that go directly into the pound. Pound puppies are on the same page as litter puppies and are free. They are FCFS!

4. There is a new style of adopting puppies. Instead of puppies being FCFS like before they will be raffled. All the litters that the artists and I have draw for the week will all be posted at the same time, around the weekend. People then can put their names in the raffle (for free) and winners will be chosen in around a week!

5. We have a dogshow and trading thread. We have actually had these but I don't think anyone really knew because we have had one entry so far and no one has used the trading thread. I thought I would add this here so that people know they're there (the link is on the front page)

Here are some minor changes. They aren't mandatory to read, just if you want to see what some of the changes are :3


1. Breeding treats now only come in one size and litters will be anywhere from 2-4 pups.

2. More Staff slots are available for mods, artists, and temporary artists. If you want one of these jobs just PM me and I will send you a form.

3. Table of Contents are now on every page instead of just the first one to make it easier for you to move around.

4. Rarities. There are now different rarities of Playful puppies. There are currently 4, but more might be found if you go exploring (hint hint).

5. Exploring has changed a bit. You may enter for exploring on Saturday (my time) and your pup will be exploring for the whole week. It is free to explore.
