- Hey, I'm Greeenspice.
Tell me about yourself:
- I'm a girl, just so ya know, because I've been confused for before.
I'm fairly smart and busy, but I have just enough time to get on Chickensmoothie, YouTube, Instagram, Tumblr, Snapchat, etc. every day or night. I guess you could say I'm pretty responsible, I can juggle two years of hard math in one, be ahead in English by two years, take on a few AP classes, be active in the community I live in, manage my first chair in band, do ballet and dance, participate in as many extracurricular activities and performances as possible, keep up with all my friends, and still get straight A's. You could call me a tryhard, but to be honest, I'm not trying so hard at it... yet. School comes pretty easy to me, barely having to study for most quizzes and tests, reading quickly, etc. I love reading Shakespeare plays, and it's good that most of my English classes require them. Hamlet, A Midsummer Night's Dream, Macbeth, and more to come. (I've read those and done well on the tests/essays/assignments for them in class) I'm reading Rosencrantz and Guildenstern are Dead, by Tom Stoppard, as a sidestory to Hamlet. It's pretty funny and amusing. For fun, I've read the Harry Potter series six times, The Hunger Games series, the Ender's Game and Ender's Shadow series, and the Mortal Instruments series. I'm going to read The Infernal Devices as soon as I can get my hands on the first book. No, I've never read Percy Jackson. I will, soon, though, since I promised my friend, and I keep all the promises I make. I'm super trustworthy; people confide in me. I'm very good at comforting and persuading people. I have the coolest friends ever, and I guess I do have a lot of friends. I'm not one of those "super popular/clique-y" girls at school. Instead, I balance in between my studies and my humble "middle-to-high-class" friends. For example, I have many friends who are in the "higher-class" of school popularity-society, but most of my friends are in the middle class. (Me and my friend broke down the anatomy of "classes" in our school XD we were bored) Some people call me "Miss Popular" but I really don't think so. I'm just like the average girl at my school, people smile and say hi, hang out with me, etc.
I get my priorities straight, though. Studies come before friends in some cases, but when a friend needs my support, I ditch everything to be there for them. I don't like letting people down. I also am very organized, and sort my work by class, subject, type of work, due date, etc. I also Loveeee helping out. I usually go with a group of friends to help out or volunteer at the local preschool or elementary school. Sometimes we go to middle schools, too. I dug up two big bins this year to donate to charity, so maybe, somewhere, a family would be warm with the clothes that are too small for me now. During our annual performance for The Nutcracker in our ballet company, I ran around helping people. I stayed backstage for some time to help people who had quick-changes, or had to change into a different costume for a different role really quickly. I helped little kids do makeup and hair. I went around the whole theater looking for my friends' lost clothes, since they were busy.
I have a kind and understanding mom, who supports me almost always. I have an overprotective yet reckless dad who has a really short temper. I have a younger brother with cerebral palsy. He's in therapy right now, and I support him wholeheartedly. I help him with his "homework" whenever he needs help. I look after him, feed him, etc. I love the film Breakfast at Tiffany's. (I like a lot of classical films) I also love the book and movie, To Kill a Mockingbird. I read the full book of The Odyssey, and it was amazing. I love art and writing. I'm a self-taught artist, and I observe skills used by many artists. I'm fairly good at observing things, too. I love all the art classes my school supplies, and I try to get into each one, and try my best to do well in them. I'm a skier and a dancer. I do other forms of exercise, too. I used to do cheer, swimming, rowing/boating, biking (I still bike a lot), and track. I can't sing to save my life, but I love plays/musicals, like Les Miserables. (I'll sing when I'm alone) I love the winter because I can ski. I've been skiing for a few years now, and I'm pretty good at it. My main thing is dancing, though. I've been dancing for as long as I can remember. I started with tap dancing and beginner's ballet, and my annual Chinese dances. Then I started going deeper into ballet and jazz, and now I'm in company with lots of talented ballerinas. We all try our best, work hard, and improve at a fast pace. I do 2-3 performances every year, and even with all the rehearsals, I manage through with everything. I don't like giving up.
I love music, too. I used to do piano and guitar, but now I'm sticking to flute in band. I might try piccolo, but probably not anytime soon. I love listening to people sing. I love Owl City, Taylor Swift, Lana Del Ray, Panic! at the Disco, 5 Seconds of Summer, and more. I'm also a good listener. I listen to people rant, and I try to be there for everyone. People who've been going through bad times come talk to me. I'm not a therapist, though. I just feel people's pain with them, and it helps them. A lot. I'm very flexible, both in my schedule and my body. Like, I have my oversplits on my right, left, and center (all) sides. Ballet has really helped me have flexible legs, hips, and feet. I have one hamster as a pet, a Pearl Winter White little girl named Freckle. I had three hamsters before, A Sapphire Winter White girl, Sugar, and a Agouti Wild Type Winter White, Spice. They were siblings, but both passed away from old age. (They were really old for hamsters) I think I took pretty good care of them. I took them to the vet every six months for check ups and three months for nail clippings. I cleaned out their cages weekly, fed them and filled their water bottles daily. When Spice got an old-age disease, I took her back and forth from the vets daily for a week, until, sadly, we had to put her down. I run an informal "hotel" for small animal pets. People with most rodents come to me when they're on vacation. Even though I've only owned hamsters, I've researched how to take care of all small animals/rodents, and I've taken great care of plenty of hamsters, a few mice, rats, and gerbils for people, for weeks on end. I do it for free.
Overall, I'm a friendly, outgoing, responsible, and quirky person.
Have you run adoptables before?:
- Yes, I have my own species, Snakehead Dragons, and my friend in real life, Pocketmouse, just came over earlier today to draw new lines for me. I can't say they're that popular of a species, but I appreciate and love everyone who is in that community. I'm the archivist there too xD tough job. I also mod at a few species, like Sand Surfers, for example. I've run a lot of group organizations in real life, though. Wayyy back in elementary school, we ran the Girl Scouts troop, and we were big participants in the Environmental Club. We also organize a Chinese community in our local area, and we have meetings/gatherings/parties on the Chinese holidays.
Why do you want to take over Mutatoes?:
- First off, like everyone says, Mutatoes are adorable. And truly, they are. I have to admit, it's a really cute and creative idea of a species, and there's a neat community going on. The community is also a reason to run Mutatoes. There's so many "Famous" artists on Chickensmoothie and a bunch of nice people I'd like to know better or become better friends with. I think this would be a great way to meet a ton of cool people. Also, Akami, your lines for the Mutatoes are just too cute. To "inherit" a species from you would be such an honor. I would make sure to take great care of it. Also, I've always wanted to run such a popular species. Mutatoes are well loved by everyone, and I think I'd be a nice manager for them. I'm pretty sure I can handle all the people and animations involved. It's also just a nice experience owning and running a species, and I'd love to go through with it.
Do you have all the programs listed above?:
- Yep. I just recently got Adobe ImageReady (a few days before this post) and I think I have a nice grasp on how to work it. I've self taught myself a lot of things, and I think I could do this, too.
Anything else:
- Thanks for the chance. If I win, I promise I will wholeheartedly be responsible and run this place. <3
