Update us! What have you been using this character for? Anything big and special?:
I've been drawing him obsessively all over my school work, he's literally the perfect fursona,
and he always clicks with me.I have been flaunting him off to all my friends in real life, and
we've been roleplaying his personality with their characters, in an R.P called Forest Nights.
(I know, we were so creative with the name!) I neglect to post most of the art online though, so that's
probably my only down fall in the care of my precious guy. Even my character thread
rarely gets updated, which is why he still has the same coding from when I first won him. I just
haven't had the time to add more to it. However I sketch him all the time, and I'm happy
to say that my hyena's are dramatically improving from when I adopted him in 2013. (I think it was in
2013 at least). I've been obsessively studying for the past 3 weeks, so I rarely have the time to post
Evander's art online, but tomorrow, school officially ends for me so I'm planning to have a whole big
art dump on his page of my character thread. ^^

Why do you believe that you're one of the best character owners?:
I personally don't think I am one of the best character owners, I rarely adopt and some of my
lovelies collect virtual dust until I have spontaneous thoughts where I'm like "Oh yeah! Let's go
draw and write about them now!" and then I give them tons of attention and order lots of art,
but other times I'm so busy with the real world that I neglect some of them for a while, but
Evander's definitely the one that's going to stick with me forever. He's my second fursona, and
the first character I got from the SCAA and I do my best to use him frequently. He's definitely
the character I use and relate to the most.

Update us! What have you been using this character for? Anything big and special?:
Well since I adopted him waaaay back in 2012 I've done several things with him. To start I'll tell a simple one. I changed his name from Indy now into Quinn (hense why his name is different here) I did this near the end of 2013 after getting permission from the original owner to make a few changes. Secondly, I've collected a large amount of artwork of my baby from so many different artists (including myself). He has over 70 pieces of artwork in total now. I've also considered making minor design changes after also getting permission from the original donator, click here to see the sketch I made for the changes: http://smokeroadlagoon.weebly.com/uploa ... 7_orig.png . I haven't decided if I'm actually going to make these changes but it's something I'm considering. I haven't made many changes to his history or personality because I love exactly the way they are now. Basically I've just been flooding him with love and artwork for the past two years and seventeen days (as of March 27th)

Why should you be awarded for your treatment of this character? Why do you believe that you're one of the best character owners?:
I honestly don't think I'm a good character owner. There is so many times where I adopt characters and donate them back months later. Quinn is my baby though, my fursona. He shows the world the side of me I don't show in real life. I posted this form not to try and win anything but I wanted to show people that are feeling down because they have not found that 'perfect character' yet that it is possible and that they need to keep their heads up. I put a lot of work into winning Quinn, I've won some and lost some but in the end the work was worth it because I got to earn this amazing character who has become like a family member to me. Just keep trying and one day you'll see, one day you will win your very own very special character.

I'm fond of the first piece of art I ever saw of her, which was done by SheepCat.


I am also very proud of an older picture I drew of her when I changed her into a Seapony (temporarily). This was the first technical full-body picture I drew of her, so that also impacts how much I love it, as it was the first time I really got a great feeling for drawing her full design.

Update us! What have you been using this character for? Anything big and special?
I recently got a new computer, and I thought I had stored my old history for Andy on a document and then transferred that document to my new computer. Turns out, that document is gone, and I have no idea where it went, honestly. So, I am now working on rewriting her history. All the rest of the info from the original form I submitted for her is in my character thread and on the Symphony Character Adoption Agency thread, so no worries about THAT info getting lost. XD But I AM rewriting her history, and thankfully I have a good memory, so I can actually recall most of the storyline I had for her history.
Recently, I contacted a person with the username of SheepCat - the user who created her original design - for the first time. SheepCat was VERY pleased to hear that I still loved the character she created (she called Andy an "old design"), and seeing her happy really made my day.

Why should you be awarded for your treatment of this character? Why do you believe that you're one of the best character owners?
I DON'T think I'm one of the best character owners. While I love my characters dearly, I often adopt them and then won't order art of them or write up any new stories about them for MONTHS, sometimes years. I neglect some of my characters who really should get more love - it's just due to time constraints and laziness on my part that I don't give them the love that they deserve. While I have given Andromeda a bit of art, and am currently spending time rewriting her history (the loss of which was due to stupidness on my part), I don't give her as much love as I should.

Well, this is now the third time I've written this, the first two seemed to have gotten deleted somehow...

Usually I'm a fairly modest and amicable person, at least, I should hope I am. But I'm afraid I'm going to come across very different now. Please don't think I am being 'mean' or 'too forward' when I say this, but I intend to make my form as intimidating as possible and to be a fierce competitor. Again, don't think me arrogant when I say that I want to win this character, I'm not saying 'give me this character' but am simply stating that I am willing to do whatever it takes.

From the moment I saw this amazing character get donated, I've been building my form, ordering and making artwork. I have now used up the total of all my deviantart points commissioning art for both this form, and the characters I've already won. As you've heard several times now, this will be for a possible future novel and Kythax is my last missing piece (for now).

My original idea was to make this character into an andriod in order to fill in a vital hole in my novel (My characters have to travel across space, but none of them have the technological know how due to their species or upbringing), however I realized there was no 'role' for this character. According to this website (and many others) as well as my own experiences, each main character must have a purpose to serve.

Initially, I couldn't find a purpose for the character I was building. I already knew his name as AX, he was timid with a tortured past, but he had nothing to bring to the group in his personality. After a long while of tossing ideas around, I eventually decided to combine this character with another that I was struggling to connect with. Thus my idea for Kythax was born, she is now female as was this character when first created. She plays the role of the Skeptic, she keeps my protagonist in check and stops her from being too heavily influenced by the Emotion Character Role. She is a key character in my story without which, the story couldn't happen at all!

So if you haven't guessed by now, I've grown very, very attached to this character, through the time I've spent developing her. She will be loved and adored and has probably received the most development thus far compared to the other characters in the story.
I should like to let you know, that no matter how broke I am in terms of internet currencies, I will never allow Kythax to rot or collect dust. I will always be drawing and writing about her along with the others and you'll be able to find these on her webpage or on my deviantart. This character's design is bright and refreshing without being over the top in any way. If I do win her, she will be used in my novel which will be written whether it is published or not.

I should hope I don't need to explain how much I adore this character and how much I will use her and draw her, because I would have hoped that I have expressed that adequately in this form. This is by far the most extensive and most in depth form I've ever written for a character and I assure you that I would not have done so if I didn't believe I could give this character the best home possible.
From the moment I saw this character, I've had so much inspiration for her story. Almost as soon as she was donated I was seeking out the character's past owner in order to obtain permission for creative freedom. I found that this character was originally created female and was called 'Dubstep Cat'. Her design is stunning to say the least, the colours, stripes, spots and patches all blend well together. Usually light and bright designs aren't my thing, but this one immediately caught my attention as being something else.

Building a character around this design was relatively simple. You now how you find that one character and their story almost writes it'self? That's exactly how it was for me. Form the smallest details to her biggest life goals, it all came naturally. No character design even comes close to fitting Kythax as this one. For a bright spunky character with attitude, you need a bright spunky design to match and none could compare to this one. I honestly couldn't see any other character playing this role, Kythax is the only one I'll have to complete the character cast for my novel.

- I apologize in advance for the length of my form. Usually I prefer it short, sweet and well developed, however (I know Symphony does not do this but) I have been in contests and situations where quantity has been chosen over quality because some people believe that it "Shows more love for the character" which is absolute rubbish. So I've tried to succeed in both here. You won't find a single word that isn't thought out and developed but I've also tried to include a great length to my form in order for it not to be passed over. (Again, I know Symphony doesn't judge like this, but I can't take chances with this beautiful character.)

Avyloci
Avyloci (Av-eye-low-chee) are a bipedal humanoid race originating from the planet Vael. They have large eyes with sight far better than a human. They have a closely symbiotic relationship with another organism called a Symphylux which allows the Avyloci to posses wings, a tail and tail feathers. They also tend to have brightly coloured skin which is testament to the fact that their main predator is bind, therefore they have been free to become as colourful as they wish.
Though their species is as old as humans, the Avyloci tend to have a simple existence, possessing no 'technology' as humans know it today. Rather, they use Vael's wide range of plants with extraordinary properties in order to fill in any gaps. The Avyloci live in seven tribes and are often very good at languages.

Vael
Vael (V-ay-el) is a planet that is about 15% smaller than Earth. It is 80% water and is covered predominantly in a rain-forest-like biome similar to the movie Avatar. Almost all species of flora on Vael have very strong properties that allow them to equal the effect of Earth technology if used correctly (Medicine is just as effective as modern medicine on Earth etc). Vael has a whole host of fauna, the two dominant species of the planet are the Avyloci and the Rasharrn.

Seven Tribes
The entirety of the Avyloci population lives in seven tribes. Each tribe has approximately 200-300 individuals and each has it's own authority and territory. While in the past, the tribes have warred over territory and other such things, the war with the Rasharrn has overridden any animosity the tribes might have had toward each other. Each tribe still retains it's own authority, but each tribe lives in harmony with the others, Avyloci even travel between these tribes at will. Each tribe corresponds to a tall metal building, big enough to house the entire tribe. The towers were said to have been built just as the war with the Rasharrn was beginning. The towers are made with Foth, a naturally occurring metal excreted by

Each tribe has it's own dialect, but from a young age, every child is taught the languages of each of the tribes. However, an Avyloci will only speak in the dialect of his or her birth tribe as a way of identifying heritage. Because each individual knows all the dialects, two different tribes can comfortably converse without ever leaving their mother tongue.

The Seven Tribes are:
Lennik Tribe - (Len-ik)
Santis Tribe - (S-un-tis)
Tanvos Tribe - (Tan-vos)
Autovex Tribe - (Ort-oh-v-eh-x)
Obneyis Tribe - (Ob-nay-is)
Venton Tribe - (V-en-ton)
Revonbet Tribe - (Rev-on-bey)

Rasharrn
The Rasharrn (R-ash-arn) are the top ambush predators from the planet Vael. Quadrupedal mammals, these creatures are almost twice the size of a horse and have a body structure resembling a lemur with a canine-like head. The Rasharrn is sightless and instead has three pairs of nostrils and ears. Because of this, Rasharrn are hypersensitive to both sound and scent. They have no claws but instead have calloused hands in order to move silently through the trees. They have a bite force one and a half times that of a crocodile so for them to get an Avyloci in their jaws is almost a sure victory for them. The Rasharrn are intelligent predators however have a deep bred hate for the Avyloci that has been speculated to originate from arrogance. They usually hunt alone, hiding in the trees and lying still for hours on end, when they see an Avyloci, they will usually try to leap down on top of them when they land. When they do so, they let out a howl that will attract other Rasharrn to join the hunt. Any prey they catch is then taken back to their Troop.
Though they are semi-intelligent and have hands, they do not use tools or plants as extensively as Avyloci.

Symphylux
The organisms (Symphylux) connect through the nervous system, there's a stalk of sorts that lies along the neck of the Avyloci, from the base of the skull to where the stalk connects with the main body of the Symphylux. Along the stalk there are dozens of tiny hooks, as small as hypodermic needles that insert into the skin of the Avyloci. The hooks at the top of the stalk absorb energy produced from thoughts, it baffles scientists as to how this is even possible, but somehow the Symphylux seem to live and thrive of pure thought whether conscious of subconscious. The hooks down the side of the stalk send out and receive electrical impulses in order to perfectly sync the Avyloci with the various appendages on the Symphylux.

Because the Symphylux absorbs pure energy there is no waste in that aspect. Any biological waste is broken down within the organism itself. It is thought that during the early stages of the Symphylux's evolution, it is thought that they were fully functional parasites. The legs were used for walking around, the body was bigger and the wings, tail and tail feathers were smaller. They attached themselves to any living thing they could find (Except the Rasharrn whom consider them prey) and fed of kinetic energy until the animal died.

Then the Symphylux attached itself to an Avyloci (Whom are the only species with self-awareness besides the Rasharrn) and found the energy produced by thoughts. The Avyloci also discovered that while connected to these organisms, they were able to make use of the Symphylux's features.

The Symphylux used to have base animal instincts, things like breeding and getting food were the only impulses they had. Now that they have a permanent relationship with the Avyloci, they've lost most of these impulses and when detatched, have no conscious thoughts for themselves. All external senses (except for touch) have de-evolved to naught as they're no longer needed. All physical feeling is re-routed to the Avyloci who are able to experience pain, pleasure etc through the Symphylux.

Because each Avyloci's thought energy is unique to the individual, the Symphylux are unable to switch hosts (It is considered a great taboo to take the Symphylux of another). If it's host should die, the Symphylux will perish as well (though the Avyloci will live on if it's Symphylux is killed). Luckily the Symphylux have an incredibly fast regeneration rate and it is incredibly rare for a Symphylux to die unless it's host does also. Often, this fast regeneration also extends to the Avyloci however the Symphylux must be connected for this to work and in order for the Symphylux to regenerate at maximum speed, it must have constant access to it's hosts energy, if disconnected when injured, the rate of healing will slow (although still faster than normal).

Jezzec
The Jezzec (Jez-eh-k), are a race of bipedal humanoids that live on the planet Kest (K-eh-st) in close proximity to Vael. They have two sets of arms, a tail and a pair of rams horns and generally are dark shades of grey (though most get tattoos). They also have two sets of eyes and a 'masked face', this mask is actually a strong plate of bone designed to protect them during combat. Females are very similar to males, the only difference in appearance being that the females have two tails while males only have one. The Jezzec are very technologically advanced though recently their society has taken a great interest in Vael's plants and their naturally medicinal properties. Vael's plants cannot be grown on Kest nor can the Jezzec survive long on Vael so the Jezzec will often trade anything the Avyloci want in exchange for herbs.

The War
The war between the Rasharrn and the Avyloci has been going on for centuries without pause. The Avyloci are the natural prey of the Rasharrn, however, since obtaining a symbiotic relationship with the Symphylux, the Avyloci have begun to fight back. The Avyloci formed tribes in tall towers made of metal that the Rasharrn cannot breach. Each tribe is named after it's founder or the one who oversaw the building of the towers. Since they began living in the tower, they began to stand a fighting chance against the Rasharrn who began to come for them in more force. For the Rasharrn, it was almost as if they'd been insulted by their prey beginning to elude them. Despite the utopia of the towers, plants will not grow within the tower (The Jezzec are currently working to identify this issue and why it occurs. Full reports are being written.)

Due to this, the Avyloci must still leave the safety of the towers in order to find food, however when they leave the tower and land on the forest floor, they are vulnerable to the Rasharrn. Due to these factors, the sides have both exchanged the upper hand but neither could win the war. Up until now, the Avyloci have been able to tip their arrows in poison in order to deter the Rasharrn, however the Rasharrn are beginning to become resistant to the poisons they use. The Avyloci once turned to the Jezzec for weapons, however the Jezzec could only provide weapons that were too loud, ineffective, or too different for the Avyloci to use.

A meeting between the elders and the Jezzec decided that an Avylocian child would be sent to live on Kest and learn about Jezzec technology in the hopes that one day she would return and be able to better test and create weapons to defeat the Rasharrn. That child was Kythax. Unfortunately, Jezzec scientists soon found that the power source they use to power their technology, when exposed to Vael's air for an extended amount of time, will cease to function. With this discovery, it was decided that the only way for the Avyloci to defeat the Rasharrn was to leave Vael and find new weapons to aid in the war.

Thus, the Taki'ran Seekers was formed, as the Avyloci's last hope.

Kythax is a curious and adventurous soul. The circumstances of her upbringing on an entirely different planet to her own have ensured that her curiosity and love of adventure has been nurtured and encouraged. Usually, this adventurousness centers around exploring both new places and new technology. In her spare time, Kythax can often be found expanding or perfecting her maps, or playing around with whatever little device she happens to be building at the time. This curiosity is also often centered around technology and she loves inventing new things. Even though most of these experiments never work, she enjoys them nonetheless. She also enjoys Earth technology (In other words, vintage technology). She may complain about the lack of advanced devices, but everyone knows she's secretly fascinated by them.

Kythrax is also ambitious. Every goal she sets for herself is high, and she strives to reach them. Her short term goals usually have something to do with her inventions and completing each idea she has for them. Her long term goal is to map as much of the universe as she possibly can get to, as that's something she's wanted to do since she was young. Unfortunately, however, this ambition can also lead into obsession and unless there's someone to keep her in check, Kythrax will usually be up to the early hours of the morning working on her latest project.

Kythax is very intelligent and her upbringing ensures she picks things up quickly and easily. Unfortunately, she can also be quite critical and prejudiced in regards to her species' culture. This apparent arrogance is usually just to mask a lack of belonging either in her birth culture or the one she was brought up in. She often feels uncomfortable among her own kind, as if others might think her odd or unusual. Unfortunately, these thoughts are justified. Despite the tolerant and accepting nature of the Avyloci, Kythax is still often viewed as odd or unusual. This leads her to naturally scorn the customs the two cultures do not share.

Kythax is often called impulsive. Despite her intelligence and ambition, she'll often simply jump into things without fully thinking about them. This has landed her into trouble more than a few times, unfortunately. This contrasts with her critical nature, while she'll often make spur of the moment decisions, afterward she’ll berate herself for not thinking further about things. Nonetheless, she never quite seems to learn from her own mistakes, though she can often see them quite clearly. She is, however, quite critical of others, especially the Avyloci's lack of technology, she's the skeptic of the group and will often critique other's ideas. So long as she doesn't do it in arrogance, however, she can be incredibly helpful.

Kythax is generally quite reserved around people she doesn't know well and will often seem unwilling to interact with others. Her critical, impulsive and fierce nature may lead people to believe that she is also bold and direct, however, in actual fact, Kythax is more often passive-aggressive. If angered or insulted she'll often show it more though body language rather than starting a fight. However, if pushed or given a good reason, she will fight back and when she does, she can hold a grudge for a long time.
To explain further, like most people who are passive-aggressive; when irritated, Kythax will show this through her body language, tone of voice and though the use of shorter sentences to express displeasure. Kythax will not begin an argument unless she is insulted directly or unless she believes there is a justifiable reason for it. However, when she believes there is a reason for an argument, she can become blunt, saying things still indirectly, but making it far more obvious. By this stage, Kythax is usually ready for an argument and one will find her actually quite capable of holding her own when forced to.

Kythax has also been called conceited and when in talking about the things she loves, can come across as very opinionated. Her prejudice means she has a certain arrogance toward the less technologically advanced. She will always make her opinions known on her favorite subjects, and will argue them passionately. She also has difficulty asking for help and will often use manipulation to get it to avoid appearing weak to others.

The battle between the Rasharrn and the Avyloci has been going on for centuries. Each would gain the upper hand at one time or another, but neither side could win the war. Lately, however, the war has been going badly for the Avyloci who are quickly finding themselves more and more desperate. The Avyloci have often reached out to a neighboring planet with far more technological advancements for weapons in exchange for herbs. However, the Avyloci are unsuited to these weapons as they're loud and clumsy. The species of the neighboring planet eventually has tried sending soldiers over. However the atmosphere proved unsuitable to their own physiology despite their armor. As a last ditch effort, the Avyloci agreed to send over one child to the Jezzec people to be raised as one of their own. The child would learn to use Jezzec weapons and technology, then returning them to the Avyloci to fight in the war. If this child was successful, the Avyloci would send more children over.

Kythax grew up with a loving host family, her mother, father and sister. She was raised knowing both the language of the Jezzec, and the languages of the seven tribes as agreed when she was born. Her family was kind and taught her all about their technology, how to build and manipulate things. Kythax's natural curiosity from the beginning made her a quick learner and she was taught from a younger age than most Jezzec children. This enabled her to advance quickly in her studies, very soon she was able to build and take apart simple appliances and toys.

Kythax at first was an outgoing and social child. She'd talk to anyone and everyone, having no qualms about walking straight up to a stranger and telling them all about her day. However, as Kythax grew, she quickly became aware that most were not as friendly as her host family. Since she was the only one of her species on the planet, she was the target of much prejudice. Most Jezzec knew the Avyloci weren't as technologically advanced as they were, so they often treated Kythax with scorn. Viewing her as more of a pet to teach charming tricks to, rather than a person who was just as capable as themselves.

The Jezzec are a very advanced race technologically however they have yet to reach any other planet other than their own which has advanced to a level that they themselves have. This has given the Jezzec a sense of superiority. This isn't to say they're all cruel and cold, but they tend to view those from other planets the way humans view their pets. Cute to have around, but they really cannot be taken seriously. This is what Kythax has endured all her life. This isn't to say she hasn't found others who are willing to give her a chance, they're just few and far in between. This has given her a natural suspicion of others motives.

Because of this, Kythax quickly developed a passive and reserved demeanor. She redoubled her efforts in her studies in order to prove everyone wrong. In her spare time she'd often retreat to an 'IPad' like device which would enable her to go on virtual journeys, so realistic that it felt as real as the outside world. That's where Ky's love of travel was born, she loved to see new places, new things.

Kythax was very young when she started school. Most Jezzec children begin school far later because of their long lifespan. This, in addition to the prejudice already against her, was a large obstacle for Kythax when she began her schooling. But due to her training all her life, she already surpassed most of her peers in the area's of technology and navigation.
For the most part, Ky began her education as much of a loner. Of course, there were quite a few kids who seemed friendly enough toward her. But Kythax soon learned that they saw her just the same as everyone else, a pet, a novelty.

She eventually found solace with a group of 'geeks', students who had a similar interest to her. She fit in with them for a little while, until she began to pull far ahead of them in her skill. The group quickly grew jealous, and hated that they were 'loosing to a lesser species' and cast her out of their group. Luckily it wasn't long after that, that Kythax met Jenko and after a rather entertaining introduction, they became very good friends. He was able to help her deal with all the bullying she'd received over the years and the two became quite a pair.

Kythax would hang out with Jenko at every opportunity, they'd run through the tunnels together and she'd show him what it was like to fly without mechanical wings. They often had a great time together, eventually finding a secret hideout in an abandoned facility not too far from the school. This is where they hid when things were becoming too hard or they just needed to escape the world for a little while.

As Kythax got older, she began to take advanced classes on top of her normal schooling. She learned about her own culture too, and how to behave in her own species’ society. Then she took advanced technology classes and by her own hobbies she also began taking advanced studies in navigation.

Eventually, though, all things must come to an end. Kythax was eighteen when she came home to fine Jezzec officials at her house. They told her that her purpose was being fulfilled and she now had to go back to her own people. Kythax was devastated, she'd spent her whole life learning how to fit in and just when she was beginning to, she was going to be sent back to a home she didn't know with people she’d never met. They had no technology, she would be a goddess among commoners, but she still didn't want to go.

However, she had no choice in the matter. She almost had to be dragged from her house kicking and screaming when they told her she wouldn't be living on Vael, but instead, would travel off-world all together in search of new weapons for her kind.
Kythax didn't care much about the plight of her 'own kind', she had sympathy for them of course, but her home was here, her people were the Jezzec. But if she was going, at least she was going to begin to achieve her dream of travelling space, and if the found weapons the Avyloci could use, then she'd be freed from the 'purpose' and be able to do as she pleased.

So Kythax agreed and set off to join the Taki'ran Seekers.

Of course she was devastated to leave Jenko behind and argued vehemently to allow Jenko to come with her. However the Jezzec argued that the ship had been fitted for the Avyloci species only. To alter this for one of their own kind as would cost far too much for so little profit. Kythax was absolutely furious and her goodbye to Jenko was incredibly hard for her as he was her closest friend. She grieved for several days, not knowing when she'd see or speak to him again for communication over the distance she was going was not yet known. But eventually she did look ahead to the new life she would lead.

Physical
Strengths
Kythax's small stature enables her advantages in her work. Her size enables her to get into any small spaces within the ship with relative ease which in turn, enables her to access anything that needs to be accessed in order for her to make sure the ship is running smoothly. In addition to this, Kythax is accustomed to very small or tight spaces and remaining in them for an extended period of time. Because of this, she can spend hours wedged into a crevice in the ship while she works, without becoming claustrophobic.

Kythax is the youngest in the group which affords her certain liberties. She is often the one everyone looks out for the most and often she's treated as the baby of the team. Though Kythax hates being viewed like this, however, it does mean that everyone is always willing to lend a hand. This ensures that she hardly ever has to ask for help and it takes very little hinting to get it. This applies as part of her nature in that she greatly dislikes asking for help.

Kythax also possesses quite small wings in relation to the other Avyloci. This means, not only is she very light, she is able to fly quickly and through more environments. Her small wings allow her to go through tighter spaces with more ease than the others; she is also able to 'lift-off' in more conditions and environments that might be otherwise too small for standard wingspans.

In addition to all this, Kythax also possesses the physical advantages of her species. These include:
~ Raptor-like vision
~ High-Metabolism
~ Ability to eat almost any natural flora
~ The use of a Symphylux
~ Natural affinity for languages
~ Fast regeneration rate when connected to Symphylux

Weaknesses
Kythax's small frame provides a massive disadvantage in battle. Because she is so light-weight, both as herself and an Avyloci, if Kythax were to be pinned down by a stronger opponent, she would be very easily injured. Her small size also causes her strength to be underestimated time and time again. Unfortunately, Jezzec are very thick and heavy-set which caused Dub to appear more and more small and weak. This often causes her to become defensive in relation to her height. In addition, her small stature also causes all the mundane problems, like the general lack of ability to reach anything remotely high up without the use of her wings.

Dub's young age also causes her to be greatly underestimated. Most naturally assume she isn't as mature as someone older. For the most part, this is true, after all, she is younger. However she isn't stupid nor is she immature (especially when you put her beside Accelerate) and this causes much irritation for Kythax when she is assumed to be so.

Kythax's smaller wings can also cause an issue as it takes more energy in order to fly. Also, her wing-type is designed for short fast flight, because of this, Dub often can get very tired on long flights and does need to rest, though you'll never find her admitting this. Also, because of Kythax's light colouration, it's found that she gets more easily sunburned than other Avyloci. This hasn't been much of a problem as much of Jezzec architecture is underground, but if let out in the sun for too long without sunscreen, Kythax goes bright red (Though an Avyloci's fast regeneration rate prevents tanning).

She also tends to sit on things oddly. This isn't so much a weakness as a quirk, however. Kythax has been raised in the Jezzec culture which means that she has grown up, eating her meals on the floor or on a small table (Similar to Japanese culture). As a result, when presented with a table and chairs, Dub will often sit on them cross-legged or kneeling. (I am not implying that Japanese people sit oddly on chairs, this is a quirk unique to Kythax.)

When they first met, Kythax and Keonrain butted heads quite a lot. She found Keonrain controlling in the way that he seemed to want to look after everybody and the way that he immediately seemed to think himself the leader. Several times Ace or Mikaleus would have to come and break up an argument between them.

As time went on, Kythax and Keonrain began to understand each other better, he would allow her to do her own thing and she would try to do as she was asked... most of the time. But Keonrain provides a sense of stability for Kythax and someone she can follow and respect. For Keonrain, Kythax provides a healthy dose of skepticism that keeps him from getting carried away with ideas.

At first, Anjay and Kythax did not get along at all. To Kythax, Anjay was just the human that had gotten a member of her group killed, it also didn't help that she was a being of the same species that killed one of the others. Anjay for her part, simply saw Kythax as conceited and unreasonable.

But after having a few physical arguments the two began to respect each other. They might have initially disagreed, but they often have similar views on things. Anjay provides a sense of logic for the group and Kythax is always the one to pick apart others ideas in order to make sure it is well thought out. Once the two began to get along, Kythax began viewing Anjay as an older sister to fill the place of Geslot.

Kythax was initially taken aback by Mikaleus when he supported the fact that she shouldn't have been chosen to be a Taki’ran Seeker as a representative of her tribe. However, she was almost immediately taken by his ability to be tactful and careful with the feelings of others. She quickly came to love him for his perceptive subtlety and often found him good for advice.

Mikaleus for his part, finds Kythax to be down-to-earth and one of the only other people who shares his obsession with his work. Though they may like totally different things, they will often work in the same areas. Both are able to focus on their own tasks and enjoying each others company in silence.

Accelerate was the first person Kythax met from the Taki'ran Seekers, and immediately he won her over with his genuine enthusiasm and laughter. Unlike some of the others, who were wary of her for her upbringing, Ace immediately accepted her and looked out for her instinctively. Though he irritates her to no end, they both share a love of music and she finds him a great comfort, especially when she's missing her friend Jenko from back home.

For Accelerate, she and Anjay are the only others who'll tolerate his constant antics for longer than a few minutes. Accelerate views Kythax as a younger sister and does whatever he can to make her feel accepted. She often attempts to make him see sense and logic and while it may not always work, he appreciates it nonetheless.

A Morning in the Life of Kythax



It was relatively early when Kythax naturally found herself emerging from the sweet depths of sleep. She lay there a moment, listening to the steady breathing of her teammates. After a few moments of wrestling with the idea of going back to sleep, the young Avyloci finally opened one deep black eye and glanced at the dimmed clock that sat on a near by table. Technically it was late, but for their usual wake up time, it was early.

Finally sitting up with some difficulty, Kythax ran a hand through her long feathered hair. Rubbing her eyes, she payed no mind to her obviously disheveled appearance, after all, the others wouldn't look so different when they awoke. She knew she probably smelled a lot like Keonrain too, for his was the bed she'd slept in last night. Not with Keonrain though. See, Keonrain had the rather annoying habit of going to bed early, then choosing the wrong bed by mistake (though he always claimed that he thought it was his). By the time Kythax had gotten back to her bed after staying up way too late, again, Keon was already curled up peacefully under her covers. Too tired to protest, she simply took the empty bed.

Now she stood up, swaying slightly, unsure if she was awake or whether she was still sleeping. She rolled her shoulders to work out any kinks, she'd managed to sleep on her wing the wrong way, so it was a little stiff and sore. She made a mental note to ask Mikaleus for something to relieve the small ache later. The room was still dark and Kythax looked back at the others, each sleeping in their own bed that jutted from the wall in such a way that it gave the impression of bunks. All of them were occupied except for Keonrain's and her own. Keon was always the first to go to bed, but he was always the first to rise.

With zombie-like, shuffling steps, Kythax slowly made her way through the dimly lit halls, her feet making no sound on the cold metal floor. She wrinkled her nose when she vaguely remembered that she'd forgotten to put on her boots before she'd walked out. Didn't matter, there was no way she was turning back now, she'd deal with the cold floors sapping her precious body heat. It took only a minute or two and several twists or turns, but finally she made her way out into a large circular room, still rubbing her eyes. In one corner was a spacious and modern kitchen, beside that was a set of couches and beanbags, all facing in a semi-circle around a large T.V, installed with the latest Jezzec and Human movies and shows. The room seemed all but empty and Kythax currently wasn't in a state of mind to notice. Monotonously she chose a piece of bread and placed it in the toaster that doubled as a microwave and oven (though they had several of these so multitasking was an option).

Almost immediately, however, she spied her latest project lying in several pieces around a beanbag. She usually worked in her own private lab on the ship, however, just as often she brought out her work if it was small enough so that she could be apart of the team. This one in particular was a Destractor, a little machine inspired by Harry Potter. If she could work it right, the little machine should run away from the person and begin making noise and light, enough to distract pursuers. At the moment, however, she was having issues with the tracking system. The system should stop the device from running back to it's creator by accident which would be highly counter-productive. With slow steps she moved over to the beanbag and slumped down heavily. She picked up the device and began to fiddle with it absently, waiting for her mind to awaken and begin to function like it should.

Kythax then seemed to loose track of time, almost sure she went to sleep for a while but couldn't quite be sure. She was awoken at the arrival of Keonrain who seemed a little more awake than she was.
"Morning, Dub." He greeted her quietly, using one of her common nicknames. Kythax tried to reply but found that her mouth was not yet functioning quite the way she wanted it to, all she managed was a quiet grunt. Chuckling to himself, Keon pretended to shake his head in disapproval as he held up the long cold piece of toast she'd forgotten. Oops.
"Be quiet." She grumbled at him irritably, but Keon could tell she wasn't being serious.
"I didn't say anything." He retorted simply, putting the toast in his own mouth with a crunch, then putting on another for her. Kythax felt her heart warm a little at this, despite the fact that the two of them could butt heads a lot, he was still pretty nice overall.

"You like it? It's nearly finished." Keon asked casually, showing her one of the woodcarvings he'd been working on recently. Kythax squinted needlessly, all Avyloci had excellent sight and she could easily make out the fine details on the wooden creature. It was a miniature Superman, a character Keon had taken a great liking to. The little figure's perfectly muscled arms were placed firmly on its hips and its cape seemed suspended in a non existent breeze. Overall, it was almost lifelike. Almost.
"You've carved his eyes too large." She pointed out with a small smile. Keonrain turned the figure toward him and assessed it, a little frown came over his face. Before he could reply, however, another walked into the room.

Anjay's hair was as disheveled as Dub's if not more so. Black and bright purple strands stuck out in all directions and her large wings trailed lazily behind her back. She mumbled something that sounded like a 'hello', but Kythax couldn't be sure as the older girl slumped down beside her.
"Aceisdoinsomethingtomika." Anjay mumbled and Kythax couldn't stop a smile.
"I didn't get any of that." She replied, feeling comparatively more awake than her friend.
"I said, I'm pretty sure Ace is drawing something stupid on Mika's face while he sleeps." Anjay replied, taking a little while to get the words out as she struggled against sleep. Keonrain and Kythax groaned in unison.
"Didn't you do something to stop him?" Key asked. He might have sounded exasperated, but Kythax knew this occurrence wasn't a surprising one. Anjay blinked at her, as if she genuinely hadn't thought of that. Dub couldn't blame her though, only a few minutes ago, she'd been very much the same.

"ACCELERATE! GET BACK HERE!" Mikaleus split the relative silence of the room, his voice still sounded thick with sleep. Kythax winced, and both the girls stumbled to their feet. They all knew the drill. It didn't take long before Accelerate came skipping out of the corridor, giggling to himself gleefully. As he reached the others, he paused and gave a bow,
"What a lovely morning!" He commented cheekily before glancing over his shoulder. His eyes widened a little and he skipped out of harms range as Mikaleus came stumbling uncoordinatedly through the door. The feathers on his head stood on end to create a green and yellow ruff that expressed his anger.
"Accelerate. Dammit, could you not just let me sleep for one morning?"
"Awww! But Mika, you'd never get up at all if I didn't do something!" Ace replied innocently from where he now stood, taking shelter behind Kythax who was sorely tempted to move out of the way.
"Accelerate that was cruel. Let the guy sleep." Keonrain scolded him sternly. Before Accelerate could reply and stir up things more, Keon grabbed his arm and firmly led him away. Anjay grabbed Mika's arm before the healer could retaliate.
"Come on, I'll help you get cleaned up, then you can go back to bed." She told him soothingly, though it was clear she was trying not to laugh.
Kythax was only able to restrain herself until the two of them had left the room before she couldn't hold back her laughter. Of all the things Accelerate could have drawn, he chosen to draw '2 FABULOUS 4 THIS WORLD' with bright silver metallic marker over the healer's midnight face, then apparently played 'connect the dots' with his freckle-like markings.

Kythax wiped the tears from her eyes as the laughter finally faded. After all that, they hadn't even had breakfast yet.

---------I would like to adopt these characters for a wide range of reasons. To start, I find their designs and breeds
-----------both very appealing. I find they suit each other very well, even more in the way that I have made them as circus
-----------dogs. Tuxedo is one of the cutest character's I've ever seen (no jokes) and the moment I saw him I fell in love.
-----------There was no way I would let this little boy slide by without my trying my hardest to win him. Corbin at first did not
-----------connect with me at all. I hated him to be completely honest. But I spend a couple hours drawing him and
-----------writing short stories about him and slowly I build up a love for this sweet black puppy. I also loved the idea of
-----------having two circus dog's as characters. There is so many story possibilities, so many things that you can draw them
-----------doing, and overall just a large amount of ideas and muse for these two pups.

• Tuxedo is your average run-of-the-mill puppy.
He's extremely curious and is practically always up
for adventure. He often makes mistakes,
as puppies will, since he is still learning
right from wrong. Tuxedo is willing to learn
and can often be found mimicking the
actions of older dogs, watching their behavior
and seeing exactly what behaviors get good
results then attempting them himself. This is
why the circus has been such an amazing
experience for the young pup. There is always
tons of things to do which keeps his mind busy
as well as extremely well trained dogs to show
the small pup what is good and what is bad.
He is very playful and excitable as most puppies
are and will try and start a game with anything
that moves which can sometimes get him into
trouble when he tries to play tug with some of
the larger animal's tails. But with all the circus
staff and well trained performing animals he is
in a fairly safe environment.

• Corbin is the calmer of the two dogs, being older
and well trained from years of preforming in the
circus. He is a show stealer at it's finest and can
preform dozens of unique tricks and movement
that always bring a smile to the audiences faces.
Corbin is a mentor to Tuxedo and the circus staff
claim the small dog has 'taken Tux under his
paw in many ways'. The older dog has an odd
dis formation, giving him small wings that match
the color of his sleek jet black fur. The circus has
always brushed off questions though, claiming that
the wings are 'only a prop' and not actually part of
the dog. This reply has always worked thankfully,
since Corbin cannot fly and most of the time the
dark wings just flop around on his back, giving
them the appearance of fake wings. Overall this
pup is very loyal and talented, he makes people
smile no matter how down they are feeling and
is known for this all throughout the area. He
also shows the same love and happiness to the
other circus dog and is very well mannered
around the animals.

This will just be a brief summary because I don't feel like I will have enough time to write out a full history before the code drop due to my hiatus.

Tuxedo was a orphaned pup, found on the side of the road by one of the clown cars as the circus moved to a new city to preform. they rescued the pup and slowly nursed it's thin and shivering body back to health. Use:
Everything about this character draws me in and I've had my eye on her since she was donated. Her rosy pinks and tans as well as her tabby and siamese like markings are just gorgeous, but I do have a soft spot for both of those types of cats (as well as cats in general) so it's not that shocking to me that I'd be so enraptured by this girly. <3

As for my use for her, I'd like to make Flora a friend (and love interest) of Elizabeth's. I think the two seem to just fit together, and their personalities have some similarities and plenty of differences and I think they'd just be compatible together. Of course, Flora would not be a permanent fixture in Elizabeth's life, so after that Flora would have her own little adventures inspired by her new friend.

Beyond that, Flora would receive art from time to time. She'd also get a spot on my character website, which is still a ridiculous work in progress, but it will get there eventually.

Flora is French for flower, unsurprisingly. It is also the name of the Roman goddess of flowers and spring.

I know that Flora doesn't look fully Siamese, but a Lynx Siamese is basically a tabby siamese mix which I think would be a very accurate breed for her.

Due to her dainty features and very tiny size, Flora has always been underestimated by her peers. This only spurred her into working harder and doing better than everyone around her. She's very no nonsense when she's working on something, and it's best not to disturb her at these times. It's not often that you find Flora without her face buried into a book or out in the forest surveying different herbs and flowers. After her adventure with Elizabeth this trait is put towards helping others more than it is increasing her own knowledge.

Flora spends most of her days reading books she finds strewn about her human's home, so of course she's going to pick up knowledge from it! Her favorite book to read is an old medical book that lists herbs that can be used as remedies. She's never gotten a chance to use that knowledge, but Flora still thinks it's interesting to know. Also thanks to her extensive reading habits, Flora understands humans a good deal better than your average housecat and this helps her form a better bond with her owner, Amanda.

From the moment she learned to walk, Flora wanted to know everything, especially if it meant she got to explore. She spends a good deal of time outside just observing things around her and learning what she can while doing so. She particularly likes to study birds and other small mammals such as squirrels and mice, and definitely prefers that over harming the small creatures. That's what drives her to help Elizabeth because she wants to know what lies beyond the few yards of the forest she's mustered up the courage to go into. When she realizes just how vast everything truly is, it fuels her curiosity even more.

Flora's moods change swiftly. One moment she'll be awed by the beauty of a butterfly and the next she'll be telling someone off for disturbing her. She just greatly despises being interrupted, and even the smallest of things can bring on a whole new mood for the pretty tabby feline. Consistency is not one of her strong points. Her moodiness is a blessing to Flora herself. She doesn't stay angry or sad for very long before she's onto whatever mood is spurred in her next. It's nuisance to others but allows her to forget things much easier than she normally would.

ѳҏɨɳɨѳɳαϮєɗ

It's rare to find something Flora doesn't had some sort of at least mildly educated opinion on something. She also likes to share these opinions with others and, depending on the importance of the issue, will happily fight tooth and claw to prove that she's in the right. Her opinions on things will also rapidly chance as she intakes more information from more sources.

As mentioned before, Flora is very capricious and constantly changed, but she's very hot-headed on top of that. One rude little remark and you've set her off. She doesn't put up with cruelty in any shape or form. This trait is not quite so useful in arguments with friends, however. Flora often says things she doesn't really mean and only ends up apologizing profusely several hours later.

┉┉ It's not too shocking that Flora would like the pretty plants her name comes from. She's a particular fan of tulips and anything light pink.

┉┉ A place that she's read about many times. Once Elizabeth is capable of controlling where she teleports she takes Flora to Paris since they both share a love for the place.
✰ Adventure
┉┉ Before meeting Elizabeth her love of adventure came solely from the plots in books and her little trips out into the forest, but afterwards it developed into something much bigger.
✰ Amanda
┉┉ Amanda raised Flora from the time she was four months old so their bond is unsurprising.

┉┉ Desperate to prove that felines can learn the way humans can, Flora's been reading since she was about 6 months old. She still gets hung up on some words, but can usually puzzle things out.

┈┈ "I'm a bit of a perfectionist, but I don't really believe in complete perfection. I imagine I'd be very happy if Elizabeth returned to see Felicity and I, however. Or maybe just a roomful of books would be a perfect happiness."
