Hooded Dragons, affectionately dubbed Hoodies or HDs, are a recently discovered type of Eastern Dragon. Their faces are constantly shrouded with hoods (Humans have never have figured out where they get them). They wear these hoods to protect their eyes, as they are excessively light sensitive. Too much time without their hood could result in permanent eye damage. They never show their faces to anyone except those closest to them, such as their owner or mate. Hooded Dragons are omnivores; they enjoy fresh meat and fresh fruit, and they love to steal human treats, even though it's not very good for them. Hoodies are roughly as tall as a human being at the shoulder (6 feet), big enough to be ridden. Since their discovery, many people have begun to take them on as pets. They don't require much work, just lots of love, trust, and good food. They are warmblooded, but prefer hotter temperatures. In prime conditions, they can even breathe small jets of flame that can be literally any color. If you can get close enough to your Hoodie, perhaps they will trust you enough to show you their face.
Hooded Dragons were originally created by me, brought to CS on 12/03/2013
Rules;; If you get 3 strikes, you will be on probation, if you get one more strike then you will be banned.
1. Do not, in any way, steal the Hooded dragons or any of their designs.
2. Do not pester the artists or I to make more designs
3. Do not whine, complain, guilt trip, suck up, or bribe the artist or winner to get a Hoodie
4. If an artist is taking a long time to judge, do not bump the thread. They may be busy. If it takes over two weeks to be judged, PM me and I will talk to the artist.
5. Please no spam.
6. Be polite, treat others how you would like to be treated. We're just here to make characters and have fun, guys

Customs
What They Are;
Customs are Hoodies that are specifically designed to one user's particular tastes. Customs cannot be bought, gifted, traded, or rehomed. If you are 100% positive you no longer want your custom, it will be marked as deceased.How to Get One;
Customs are generally not available to the general public. They cannot be bought or bribed from an artist.
Mods may have 1 custom each
Artists may make as many customs as they want as long as they make an equal or greater number of adoptable Hoodies.
Esteemed guests and otherwise special people may be allowed as many customs as I decide.
Anyone else can get a custom by being an exceptionally helpful person, through special event raffles, or by becoming a Guest Artist (In which case they may only have 1 custom)Current List of People Able to Get a Custom;
Bugabee with 3 available customs

Breeding
Breeding Rules;1. Do not post a form if breedings are not open.
2. Don't beg for one of the chicks, it is the parents decisions what happens to them.
3. Do not pester the artist about how long your breeding is taking.
4. Do not complain if you do not like your chick(s) design
5. You may only decease a maximum of 2 chicks per clutch.Things to know;
Hooded Dragons *generally mate for life.
They reach full maturity at 1 year of age.
They can breed 8 times in their lifetime.
Hoodies cannot breed with their parents, siblings, aunts/uncles, grandchildren, cousins, nephews/neices. However anything more distant than that is permissible.
Every Hoodie has a 1/100 chance of being blind at birth, but if one or both of the parents is blind, it is a 1/50 chance.
Hoodiess hatch from eggs and reach maturity in one week real time.
Hoodies must wait 2 weeks between each breeding.
An average clutch size is 3, but can be as low as 1 or as high as 4.Note: Clutch sizes and blindness are decided using a random number generator.
*= Some Hoodies do not mate for life, and they can in fact breed with other Hoodies besides their mate.

Rehoming
What is it?
Like with all characters, perhaps you find yourself losing connection with a Hoodie you own. In that case, PM me and it will be placed in the pound, up for readoption so that it may go to a home with a new owner that can love it better<3Gifting
If you breed a Hooded Dragon and you end up with a few more chicks than you wanted, you are given 4 options; Keep, put up for adoption, decease, or gift. Gifting means that you pick an owner you find worthy and PM me. If I approve, and I probably will unless said recipient is on probation or is banned from the Hoodies, then you are allowed to give them your Hoodie. This also works with adopted Hoodies, however, you must wait at least two months after winning it, to ensure you weren't just entering for someone else.Deceasing
If you are leaving ChickenSmoothie and do not wish for someone else to own your Hoodie, or if you don't want your baby Hoodie, or are just feeling that it's time to let one go to Hoodie Heaven, you can PM me to have it deceased. The Hoodie is then gently put down by the artist who created it. Their hood comes off and their eyes are closed, and the sign "Rest in Peace" is placed on their background. This is a final act, it cannot be reversed, so be extra sure you want this done!

Diseases/Conditions Hoodies Can Contract
Dragon Pox;
Similar to the human's Chicken Pox, their scales become itchy and they molt. It's uncomfortable but easily cured with sunshine (As long as their eyes are well covered!), plenty of bed rest, and chicken noodle soup!Blindness;
This can be caused by many factors. If exposed to too much light for too long it can lead to permanent vision impairment and then blindness. Through old age, cataracts may develop and cloud the vision. They could be born blind from genes inherited from their parent(s), or they could get into an accident and scar their eyes. Blindness is irreversible sadly.Scale Rot;
If left idle for too long in the dark, cold, and/or damp, they will get a fungal infection in their scales. Easily treated if caught early, but can be dangerous if left unchecked. Keep your dragons active folks.Eggbound;
This only happens to expecting female Hoodies and is extremely rare, a 1/10000 chance, but it's a terrible affair. The egg(s) get stuck inside the mother, and you have 2 options- Sacrifice the mother and save the chicks, or sacrifice the chicks to save your dragon. In the rare event that both are able to be saved, the mother is sterilized and unable to breed ever again, and any chicks are blind and or deformed.PCS-
Permanent Chick Syndrome. This is completely random, it stops a Hoodie at it's developmental stage, leaving it unable to mature and breed. It is fairly rare and very unpredictable.Hiccups-
Oh it sounds silly now, a dragon with hiccups, but that's until you realize that with every hiccup they have, they spout flames and are in danger of burning everything to a crisp. The longest recorded case was 1 year and the dragon had to be kept in a fireproof environment.
