I am looking to not only adopt, but love for forever more...
Kennel number: P136; common creature | One hundred and thirty-six
Name: SoSo - I don't see why there would be any need to change this; it suits her and is completely unique. <3
Breed: Genetically altered Amur leopard
The Amur leopard (Panthera pardus orientalis), also known as the Far Eastern leopard, Korean leopard, and Manchurian leopard is one of nine recognised subspecies of leopard. It is a wild feline predator native to the mountainous areas of the Russian Far East. It used to inhabit the forests of Korea and China, but it has since become extinct in those countries. It is one of the rarest felids in the world with an estimated 30 to 35 individuals remaining in the wild. The International Union for the Conservation of Nature has deemed the Amur leopard critically endangered, meaning that it is considered to face an extremely high risk of extinction in the wild.

Why do you want this animal?:
SoSo is amazing. Gorgeous. Unique. Beautiful. I could carry on forever, but I don't want to bore everyone with my adjective vomit. From the moment I set eyes on her, I fell in love. But I couldn't apply for her - Prida ;D - but I secretly prayed that she would still be here when I managed to come back and apply. When I saw that she was, my heart lifted. It took no more than thirty seconds for me to be swamped with potential story ideas. I've chosen the one I have because I think it sums up her personality perfectly, and shines a light on the times in her action-packed life that have changed her.
It was her name that caught my attention. I was scrolling through the latest post when I saw that Ika had donated a creature, and when I saw the name I was immediately intrigued. And then I saw her, my mouth dropped open, and I fell in love. The name SoSo is unique, and I think it suits her perfectly. When I saw her name I thought of the word 'so-so', meaning neither good nor bad. This is one of the factors that spurred me on to give her such a heart-breaking story which is also joyful and humorous in places, just to tie her name into the story a little more.
Next is her colouring. Oh my gosh. Isn't she just the most amazing animal you have ever seen? I've been searching for a feline character for a while, and what a great one SoSo would be! I love the fact that she is naturally coloured; leopards are stunning animals and her rosettes just make me squee with happiness whenever I see them. And the wings are simply an added bonus that give me more ideas for her story. They just give her that edge, taking her from amazing, to well... Even more so! SoSo seems more elegant with them, more innocent and childlike, and this only makes me love her even more.
And her eyes! <33 That pale grey colour seems to suck me right in, giving me a glimpse into her soul. I absolutely adore that eye colour as well, I think it just seems so mysterious and guarded.
What will you do for it?:
I will do everything and anything for her. Lots and lots of art, a place on my thread and one on my website when it is up-and-running. I will spoil her, and make sure she is well looked after and never ignored. I will also continue her story on the thread, and will even write more about her whenever I get the idea (which I'm sure won't be hard to come by!).
Personality:
A micable - SoSo is very easy-going with everyone, has has a happy personality and tries her greatest to spread her joy to those around her. She doesn't go over the top with this though; she knows when it is time to calm down and be sensible.
M eek - She is very gentle, especially with those younger and smaller than her. SoSo can also be submissive around more intimidating creatures, becoming more quiet and shy.
U nassuming - SoSo isn't one to accuse someone of something, even if she has solid fact on her side. She doesn't like to think bad of anyone, and is quite ready to overlook a problem without speaking about it. However, she is not stupid, and if she fears that anyone is in danger, she will act wisely.
R espectful - SoSo respects everyone. She firmly believes in "Treat someone as you would like to be treated yourself", and she tries her hardest to do right and be polite. She even stays with her quote even when she isn't being respected herself. In her eyes, it will pay off sometime. Sooner or later.
L ikeable - There are very few creatures who dislike SoSo. Some may be gruff with her, or push her around, but they don't not like her. Maybe they are just trying to toughen her up. The only creatures who may have a problem with her are those who hate animals that are submissive and gentle. But mostly is liked by everyone, for her happy and gentle nature.
E motional - SoSo thinks about her past a lot, bringing up memories of her lost mother. She often yearns her presence, wondering whether she is even alive, and if she is, whether she still thinks of her kidnapped daughter. When she thinks of this, she can often get upset, and will sit in the corner of her cage, silent for once.
O bedient - SoSo rarely goes against other's decisions. She is more of a follower than a leader, although she will take control if pushed. She much prefers being told what to do, because then there is less chance of her going wrong.
P ositive - SoSo is optimistic, and likes to look on the bright side of things. She is quick to try and cheer someone up if they are grumpy, and could be called naive because she doesn't think anything bad is going to happen, and even when it does she gradually starts to think that something good might eventually come out of it.
A daptable - It is easy for her to settle into new places, and although she often pines for her old life, she can fit right in without disturbing anyone else. After a while it is as if she has been there the whole time; she observes the others actions towards each other, how they speak, and anything else useful, and then tries to blend in as well as she can.
R eliable - If you ask SoSo to do something, you don't have to worry about it not being finished. Even if it takes her a while or will be complicated to complete, she will instantly get to work and will not stop until it has been done to the best of her ability. However, she is easily manipulated because of this - she can be asked to do something 'innocently', and can then be watched as she slaves away to finish a task from which someone else will reap the rewards.
D edicated - Like the trait above, SoSo will not give up on a task until it is completed perfectly. She is also dedicated to her friends, and will do anything to help them, even if it means putting herself at risk. If a friend is in need, she thinks of nothing except how she can help them, and this will get put her in lots of danger when she tries to find a solution to their problems.

History/Background:
The leopard cub's eyelids fluttered uneasily, the occasional rustling of something that sounded like feathers the only think keeping her from slipping back unconscious. Her back ached, brief stabbing pains causing her to let out a weak mew, tuck her paws against her chest and wait impatiently for the roughness of her mother's tongue to calm her, to feel the warmth of her mother settling down beside her for the night. But she didn't come. The cub's ears twitched anxiously, and her paws scrabbled desperately, seeking her mother. But she could not find grip on this cold, hard surface that turned her body into a unwilling block of ice, and she slid along it unsteadily instead, her back twinging sharply each time. She mewed again; more loudly this time; her thin, wavery voice bouncing back at her from all sides. Mother, mother, mother, she cried to herself. Mother, mother, where are you? The cub huddled backwards, blinking more rapidly. Her blurred eyesight revealed nothing of these strange, unknown, unnatural surroundings, and she remembered how her mother had licked them every morning, allowing her to see the beautiful world for herself. But now she had to do it herself. Rolling onto her back, she patted her face again and again, pawing her eyes until at last they opened. Slowly, but surely, her surroundings came into focus. Her twitching tail stilled, and her paws dropped to her stomach in shock. Where on earth was she?
High above her, in the place where she had been expecting to see the cool, forget-me-not blue sky, flocks of birds silhouetted against the burning orange orb that was the sun; or perhaps even the damp, musty smelling rock cave roof she and her mother slept in, when the wind became shrill and the snow bit her nose; was a white, blank, plain surface. Tilting her head back, her eyes widened in shock, and she leapt to her paws, scurrying away from the terrifying sight that loomed up in front of her. Bars. A cage. She was in a cage. Behind bars. Trapped. She had only seen a cage once before in her life, one that had been crudely fashioned from wooden poles and strips of leather. Her mother had warned her to stay away, and she had - the opening of the cage reminded her of the gaping mouth of some evil, angry beast. And later that night her mother had sang her to sleep over the sounds of an animal's keening wails that continued through the night. It would all be over soon, her mother had whispered. A silly creature, one that had gone against it's instincts, powered by hunger. It would be over soon. And she was right. In the morning, the animal's cries had faded away, and the cage had disappeared, the ground around it scuffled, as if a fight had taken place. The cub had never been near that place again.
So why was she here? She had been careful. The cub had never been near another cage, and always stepped lightly, just in case another trap lay beneath the snowdrifts. Waiting to catch her out. Had she forgotten? Surely not! And besides, her mother had always been with her. Her mother would not have left her side. So that left only one possible explanation. She had been kidnapped.
Once, when she was only a few weeks old, her mother had returned to the den agitated, her tail twitching and her ears pinned back. The cub had stayed silent, watching her mother pace back and forth in the entrance, glaring at each flurry of snow as if they each contained some human sent to capture them both. At last, she had been unable to contain her nervous curiosity. The cub had asked her mother what was wrong, and instantly her mother stretched out beside her, drawing her child close. "The kidnapping has begun. Two cubs have already been taken. We must be more on guard." She had refused to say any more, returning to her pacing until she was sure that the kidnappers would not venture to their den in such cold weather.
Letting out a loud cry of terror, the cub flung herself into a corner, huddling as far away from the tall, silver bars as possible. Her back stung and she let out a whimper, trying to make herself as small as possible. The sound of wings came again, and the cub glanced round quickly, curious despite herself. More cages surrounded her, each one containing the same things as her's did - a small steel bowl and a weak-looking box with a flea-bitten white blanket inside. Scooting along the floor on her stomach, ready to retreat at a moment's notice, the cub inched towards the box. Nosing the blanket quickly, she instantly recoiled as the smell of mould, urine and old faeces assaulted her sensitive nose. She scrambled backwards, letting out another forlorn whimper.
"Oh shut it, will you?" Came a harsh masculine voice from a cage directly across from the cub's.
It was soon followed by the voice of a female with a heavy accent that she had never heard before. "Yeah, some of us are tryin' ta get some sleep." Letting out a squeak, the cub scuttled backwards, the snorts of cruel laughter causing her to cringe against the wall, forcing herself to not squeal with pain.
"W-Who are you?" The cub asked in a whisper, her head lowered. Feathers rustled as if in response and a flicker of dull bronze fur caught her eye. A large, well muscled cat slid from it's box and began pacing back and forth across the bars of the cage. More and more cats followed, the cub glancing this way and that frantically to keep them all in her view. She shrank back as a huge golden cat with a darker mane of fur around his neck roared, his mouth wide to show long, lethal canine teeth. "You scared yet?" Spoke the first cat that had emerged - the one with the strange accent. "No?" All at once, the rustling of feathers intensified. And in one, fluid motion, wings erupted from the backs of every cat, huge and magnificent and utterly terrifying. Grey, black, bronze, gold, white and brown feathers shone dully in the overhead lights, and the cat with an accent chuckled, her own wings stretching to their full size. "Well, Cub, I can see you're gonna fit right in." She glared pointedly at the cub's exposed back; who had cowered to the ground after seeing them all. The cub merely stared at her with wide, petrified eyes, but in the corner of her vision she saw a flash of colour. Wings. Attached to her back. 2Mother! Mother! Help me! Please!" The cub sobbed, heaving herself to her paws and hurling herself behind the box, curling herself into a tiny, squirming ball, and continuing to cry in a high-pitched voice, one that was used to bring her mother racing back from a hunt when she was scared. But she was somewhere where her mother couldn't help her.
