First Mini-Batch Winners!
The raffles were rolled in our Discord server, so make sure to check there if you'd like to see the results for yourself.

Before we get to the resident info, here's a few important notes:

- You can only win 1 Resident per batch, but you can potentially win across any of the four mini-batches we're starting off with. If you'd like to hold on to the Resident you've won until all the raffles are finished on 7th August, make sure you let us know! You can then choose the Resident you like the most and the rest will be rerolled. You can't do any gameplay with your Resident while you're reserving them for the end of the raffles.

- All of your current Resident info is going to be stored in a code box below. You need to keep track of this, so it's a good idea to keep your own code boxes or similar! You'll need this info when you want to redecorate.

- Gameplay is currently only done in the Discord, which also shows you how to play, but we are bringing everything over to CS soon and that should be done by the time the raffles are finished on 7th August. In the meantime, if you've won a Resident, congrats! It's still yours, even if you can't do much yet. The important thing to note is that trading Residents is currently locked, but this will be available soon!

- Make sure you choose a name for your Resident! You can also choose a status if you like; either a verb or a feeling. You can post these in the decorating channel in the Discord server (or if you're not in the server yet, feel free to message a staff member or post in this thread), and they'll be added to your apartment image. Oh, and the moving in boxes are just temporary...

hello everyone, its me again!! ive got an important update.

so, you may have noticed things have been a little disorganised here lmao. in truth, i definitely launched a little too early, and i definitely underestimated what would need doing. ive had fantastic feedback from the community & from my staff members and i think the idea has definitely been refined - i think that some of the messier ideas i had early on have been smoothed out, and a lot of things i havent thought about have been brought up which will definitely make things better in the long run. im actually very new to umas and am more of a game dev person overall, so there have definitely been some bumps in the road in getting this idea to work as a uma!! lmao

in all honesty, i spent a lot of time on some redundant work earlier on in the process, which means ive been playing catch up a bit in the meantime, which is why you may notice things not being quite ready when theyre supposed to be. the time pressure has burnt me out really fast!! but as far as i see it, its just growing pains, so to speak. so, ive got a couple of things i want to do now that will help make things easier in the future.

1. the raffles will still end a week after they were meant to (so the 3rd raffle will still end on the 5th August and the 4th raffle will still end on the 7th August), but now all the remaining raffles will be drawn on the 7th. this gives me extra time to make sure all the starter apartments are ready, rather than rushing to get 5 done every two days and then being too overwhelmed to work on the other important stuff in between!!

2. everyone will be considered to be 'holding on' to any residents they've won until the end of all the raffles on the 7th, so no need to specify that you want to do that anymore. basically, you can consider this to mean that gameplay is universally 'paused', so please dont send any forms for jobs, decorating, the shop, etc. this means that all the remaining raffles will be rolled at the same time, and everyone can decide within 72 hours of the rolls which resident they want to keep, if they won more than one. the rest will be rerolled for the people who entered but did not otherwise win a resident. if there are any residents with no 'valid' players to reroll for, theyll just be raffled off again separately a little bit later.

were also making sure the entire game can be played solely on CS without needing to join the discord, which i think will be easier for folks in the long run, but that means i want to redo the thread a little bit and try to make sure the rules and gameplay are more concise and easier to understand, so thats taking up a lot of my brain space right now lmao.

basically, when everything is finished, i think the game will be great. but in the meantime, it may be a little wonky!! i really appreciate all the support so far, and i really appreciate everyone putting up with the mess lmao. i havent worked on a project like this in a while, but im determined to make sure it works - AND that it works well, so folks arent getting confused or bogged down in my super wordy explanations (oops, this update probably counts as one too).
