Hail, outlander, and welcome to the Atlas Station!
A bustling city nestled in an old decommissioned star base, the Atlas Station is home to the Gryphians, a species of avian creatures that traverse across the cosmos. World-hoppers due to their invention of handheld ‘teleportals’, they possess boundless curiosity, a penchant for collecting trinkets, and an eye for innovation. All Gryphians have an innate sense of direction, an ability which helps to guide them across familiar terrain and new worlds alike. While they once were only found on the planet Aquilia, Gryphians today are a common sight in the universe as they adapt anywhere they go, bringing with them a wealth of knowledge they happily share with those they meet.

In ancient times, Gryphians were known to be acrobatic flyers who dwelled in vast skyholds across Aquilia. With the advent of interstellar travel, many Gryphians took to the stars and evolved to survive even in the most dire of circumstances over the centuries. Today, Gryphians come in a variety of shapes, sizes, colors, and at times acquire strange mutations that can make them quite unique. Gryphians commonly have a set of distinguishing traits, including:

Either front paws or talons, both of which are dexterous in their own ways. While not exclusive, individuals with paws find tasks requiring durable strength and stamina easier, and those with talons often gravitate to skills needing careful precision and detail.

Wings, which mimic the majestic plumage of their ancestors, but smaller in size. Most winged Gryphians can only glide short distances and are incapable of flight. While some Gryphians find wings to be regal, others find they can be quite a nuisance!

Despite the advent of the futuristic age and the digital credit system, Gryphians still hold onto old traditions, and use Sprockets as their currency. These tiny metal gears are a facet of the path that their ancestors took to launch their species into the stars.
But enough about all that, it's time to prepare and embark on an adventure!
