Cheetah Eggs are fancifully-colored cheetahs that hatch out of eggs and grow on their own, usually in three stages like CS pets!

1. Do not copy any writing or forms from this thread or use any part of it as a template. Even if you change a few words, this is plagiarism and it is against CS rules.
2. You may not claim any art or designs by CE artists as your own.
3. You may not buy or sell your cheetahs for CS pets, C$, or any other fictional or real life currency/tradeable, including other User-Made Adoptables. You MAY trade your cheetah(s) for other user-made adoptables, as long as it follows that UMA's rules and you fill out the appropriate forms for both threads.
4. Do not remove any links back to this thread from your adoptables.
5. You may upload your cheetah to other sites like toyhouse, but please be sure to link back to the Cheetah Eggs thread as well as crediting the appropriate artist(s). (Feel free to reach out to a staff member to confirm who to credit!)
6. Feel free to chat here, but please don't spam the thread.
7. Don't bother the artists about when you'll get your egg, or other owners about trading cheetahs with you. No harassing anyone about anything.
8. No guilt-tripping or acting like a sore loser if you are unable to get an adoptable or slot you want.
9. Remember these are free artworks of silly creatures and try not to take it too seriously. :D
10. Please refrain from double posting. If you need to edit your post to add a new form, thats fine! Do not post back to back.
11. We do not condone the use of AI in art. Any reference materials or other forms of art generated by AI are not allowed.
Adoption Rules
1. Editing of forms for FCFS pairs is not permitted.
2. You are allowed only one growing cheetah at a time.
3. Raffle forms CAN be edited, but please quote it and note the nature of the edit in your post.
4. You may not trade away a growing cheetah.
Strikes/Bans
Any serious infractions made against Cheetah Eggs rules, staff, or members will result in a permanent ban. Continuous breaking of CS and/or Cheetah Eggs rules, with or without warning, will result in a permanent ban. If you create an unsafe or uncomfortable environment for any staff or users of Cheetah Eggs, you will be permanently banned. Not all bans will have warnings given previously, and depending on the circumstances, may not result in you being informed that you have been banned.
If you are banned
1. This ruling is final and may not be disputed, even if no reason is given.
2. Do not message a staff member about revoking your ban.
3. If banned, you may not post in any Cheetah Eggs threads.
4. All custom and adopted cheetahs will remain yours, but will no longer be valid cheetahs. They will remain in the official archive for record purposes, with a note stating the owner of the cheetahs are banned.
5. If banned, you will not be refunded any purchases made through Cheetah Eggs.
6. You may not use the species Cheetah Eggs in any way. Your cheetah characters from Cheetah Eggs must not be referred to as "Cheetah Eggs" and can no longer use official CE art as references or any other use. They can still be used as characters. You must still credit the artist for the character's design, but may not mention CE in this credit.
Hello everyone! Based off of recent suggestions, i've made a new thread dedicated to trading, breeding, and customs. For organization sake, this thread also includes forms for ID Assignments, recovery, renaming, red clovers, and suggestions. I'm still working on making it pretty, but it's open for posting!
You can find the new thread here!
Additionally, these things are now removed from the main thread. You'll also notice the main thread was re-organized and re-arranged, I apologize to those of you who are not very fond of change. I am hoping this makes the main thread feel less daunting and text heavy/time consuming to look through. I understand there will be a bit of an adjustment period for this. Please let me know if I can clarify anything or make anything easier to understand or access.
I also wanted to thank the community for your feedback and suggestions, we are always looking for more ways to improve and appreciate any feedback you have and give!
Lastly, customs and breedings should be opening very soon. We will be trying out a new way of doing customs. Keep an eye out for that!
Thanks everyone! ❤️

Unlike cheetahs from our world, these cheetahs live in a wide variety of climates, from temperate forests and plains to unforgiving tundra and mountains, and even within caves! Rarely, they will dwell in or near human settlements. Quite a lot was written about the known species and subspecies many years ago.
Since that time, the climate has cooled. The temperate zones have narrowed, with coniferous forest encroaching where once leafy trees and grasslands abounded. Mountains are icier and winters are longer than ever. Egg-laying cheetahs are well used to deep forests, however, and most Common Cheetahs are still perfectly comfortable in their changing habitat. Egg-laying Wolves still live in packs near coalitions of cheetahs without much conflict between the two species.Common Cheetahs/Fluffy Cheetahs
Your average cheetah! They are a bit fluffier than real-life cheetahs to thrive in the temperate climate in which they live. They come in a huge variety of colors and patterns, often featuring spots, stripes, and rosettes. More unusual patterns are also plentiful, though!Wooly/Featherfluff Cheetahs
These cheetahs are specially adapted to live in colder climates than their relatives. Their build is much the same, although they often look bigger due to an abundance of fluffy fur, and feathers around the shoulders, haunches, and tail! Current research suggests these are the descendants of Featherwing cheetahs. Unlike their delicate-boned ancestors, Featherfluff cheetahs are avid hunters and explorers, their thick fur allowing them to tackle larger prey without fear of injury and traverse even the harshest tundra.
Seemingly like birds and many arctic species, Featherfluff cheetahs tend to display a juvenile coat that is shorter and less impressive than their adult coloring. They also tend to have markings that are "softer" in appearance than Common cheetahs due to the length and density of their fur.Bantam Cheetahs
This notably smaller, usually winged subspecies comes in several different varieties: moth, butterfly, dragonfly, and wingless. So far, exactly how these cheetahs developed is a mystery! They are plentiful in the Garden and other woodlands. They appear to spread plant pollen by rubbing their bodies against flowers, and mostly eat nectar and fruit.
They can interbreed with common and wooly cheetahs, but all the offspring will usually be wingless bantams! Bantams also grow faster than other subspecies, with only an egg and an adult stage.Cave Cheetahs
This newly discovered subspecies is a case of highly-specialized development suited to a specific environment! These cheetahs have managed to cope with the cooling temperature by making their homes deep in caves warmed by geothermic energy. Because of where they live, their coats are typically either very light or very dark. They are completely blind, but have much stronger senses of smell and hearing than most cheetahs! They typically keep their noses to the ground to find their way through their caves and search for food.
One of their favorite foods is bioluminescent cave algae -- while they can't see the colors, they love to try a variety of flavors. This algae even grows like a coat or blanket over their backs, keeping them even warmer and providing a convenient snack! Feeding your cave cheetah different colors of algae will change the coloration of their "blanket", and algae colors will even blend together for a full range of custom hues!Bird Wing Cheetahs
Much is still to be discovered about these cheetahs, but they are quite interested in the colorful feathers you can find while exploring. Although much more elusive than fairy cheetahs, the treetops seem to be where they call home as well.Fairy Wing Cheetahs
We don't know much about these cheetahs except that they are quite elusive... Maybe you can help figure out the mystery?
The only thing we know is they can be spotted sometimes in the treetops, flittering around with their feathered friends...But what about Cheedrakes?
These distant relatives of Common Cheetahs were once extremely rare and notoriously difficult companions. Unable to tolerate the harsher climate of their mountain homes in the impending ice age, they were forced down into the forests, though their solitary nature largely prevented them from cohabiting with the cheetahs who'd been thriving in the forests already.
Then a fascinating thing began to happen: Cheedrakes approached humans. While neither species knew what to make of the other at first, the smartest Cheedrakes learned that human encampments could provide their own warmth, shelter, and even food -- with some cooperation, of course. Humans did as humans do, and consciously or otherwise began to select Cheedrakes with the gentlest temperaments and most pleasing appearances. Modern Cheedrakes are smaller than Common Cheetahs and possess brilliant colors, velvety wings, manes, and feathery tail-tips where there once were dangerous points.
They are largely believed to be extinct in the wild. Their domestication, however, has not made them easier to adopt here on CS! On the contrary, the humans who keep these creatures are highly protective and unlikely to trust outsiders to care for one properly.

The Village is where you go to explore with your cheetahs! There, you can find items to help you craft different things. You also earn Gems, which is the currency for Cheetah Eggs. There are two areas to explore, The Forest and The Cave. The Forest is open to Cheetahs and Bantams. Cave Cheetahs cannot explore in the forest, as their eyesight is too sensitive to the light there. If you'd like to explore with your Cave Cheetah, you'll want to ask them to explore the caves instead.
Pay special attention to the item key, it can provide you hints on ways to earn undiscovered rewards!

*Only the items listed are for sale, and prices are non-negotiable.
*You are allowed to buy one rare item once every two days.
*You are allowed to buy one very rare item once every week.
*These time frames are subject to change without notice in case of imbalance.
*Items can be used once per 24 hours per player (as garden items are used once per roughly 24 hours by default).
*The exception to this is for crafting; you may craft multiple items at the same time and add multiple items to your cheetah(s) at one time.
*Items that affect cheetah growth (energy berries) and number of eggs each user is allowed to have (silverleaf sprig, magic basket) have special requirements:
-You may only use ONE item in this category on each cheetah.
-For example, if you have adopted a cub using a silverleaf sprig, you may NOT use energy berries on that cub.
-If you use an energy berry to hatch an egg, you may NOT use another energy berry in 24 hours to grow the same cub to its adult stage.

✧Are these free to adopt?
Yes, every litter we release is free to adopt! The only exception to adoption is that if you have a growing cheetah, you will not be able to win another egg until your cheetah is full grown!
✧How do I get an egg or cheetah?
You can enter for our raffles to win an egg at The Forest, and sometimes there is an abandoned cheetah that you can rescue at the Cheetah Rescue! That is located a little under where litters are posted, but within the same post!
✧How long will it take for my egg to grow?
Eggs hatch in 2-5 days and will be full grown within 1-2 weeks!
✧Why can't I see my grown cheetah? It's still an egg even though you said it's grown?
When you visit a webpage, your browser downloads many types of files from the website’s server:
HTML, CSS, JavaScript and Images (PNG, JPG, SVG, WebP, etc.)
These files are stored temporarily in a cache folder on your computer which is usually inside your browser’s profile directory.
When you revisit the same site, instead of redownloading everything, your browser checks the cache to see if it already has a recent copy of each image (or other file). If it does, it loads the image from your hard drive instead of from the internet.
Websites sometimes change images but keep the same file name or URL (for example, logo.png).
Your browser, seeing that it already has a cached logo.png, assumes it hasn’t changed and doesn’t fetch a new one.
As a result, you might keep seeing an old image even though the site has updated it.
When you clear your cache, you delete those stored files. So next time you load the website the browser has no cached copy to use it will request a fresh version of every file from the web server, then you see the updated images. That’s why clearing cache “grows” your cheetahs!
✧Is my cheetah male or female?
Any egg-laying cheetah can mate with any other (as long as they are not from the same litter!) They're more both/neither, but you can call your cheetah by any pronouns you like!
✧Can I use a cheetah from one of the older versions? How do they get an ID #? What if I am having a hard time recovering their images?
Yes, you can! In order to get your cheetah from a previous version assigned, you'll need to fill out a form in this thread. There is also a form that you can fill out to help get your cheetahs recovered! Once they are recovered and/or assigned an ID, your form will be quoted with the new images and assigned ID's!
News-You are now able to earn gems (Cheetah Eggs currency) while exploring!
You do NOT need an adult cheetah to explore!
-The marketplace now has some apparel to dress your cheetahs up in!
-We are still looking for staff if you are interested in being a part of the Cheetah Egg team! No experience/all experience is accepted!
-We have a discord where you can chat with staff, cheetah owners and non-owners, and get updated frequently on explore results as well as litter results! We are also looking for any feedback or suggestions you have for Cheetah Eggs!
