Welcome to Vynen! I've always loved the community aspect of arpg's and species and wanted to try my hand at developing my own! Vynen were born from an artistic haze back in a sweltering summer break when my best friend and I were certain we could write the next hit anime and spent 2 weeks straight coming up with settings, characters, and creatures to fill this world we had created. Over the years I have been developing their lore and plan on taking these little guys into a completely new direction.

What are Vynen?To be quick, Vynen are gryphon-like creatures that reside in the vast continent of Sukyria. Whether they are born and bred for work and show or found out in the untamed wilds, the natural beauty of these apex predators can't be matched.
✿Vynen have hard wooden exoskeletons, a vine-like tail, and coats of foliage that match their natural habitats.
✿Vynen come in a myriad of sizes ranging from:
▔▔❀Small - Lithe build, waist height
▔▔❀Medium - Normal build, chest height
▔▔❀Large - Robust build, most gryphon-like, head height
And outliers such as:
▔▔❀Bonsai - The size of a medium sized dog, rarely found in the wild
▔▔❀Overgrown - Goliath build, robust, clydesdale sized
✿Vynen can glide short distances thanks to their symbiotic relationship with spiders. The wings of a vynen create elaborate homes for resident spiders to make their homes.
▔▔❀All Vynen born in the wild will have spider-formed wings. The parent Vynen can pass their spiders on to their brood.
▔▔❀Vynen born in Captivity may have the option of spider-formed wings or human-shaped wings without spiders.
▔▔❀Orphaned Vynen chicks will have no spiders and often wild-shaped wings.
✿A Vynens diet is based on it's size and habitat. Most Vynen eat meat, some insects, and others live off fruits, nuts, and berries.
✿Vynen can be found in many biomes ranging from tropical, continental, arid, cavernous, and more!

Customization/Traits
A Vynens appearance is heavily rooted in the biome where they are found. Vynen are based in nature and and magic, taking the form of the climate around them. Some Vynen do not change appearance, others will have slight variations based on season. Although I am still working on a fully fledged trait list, Vynen can have different:
✿Coat color and texture - Vynen top layers can be moss, grass, leaves, etc. A Vynens exoskeleton can only be made up of bark. Rare and special Vynen can have magical/unnatural foliage.
✿Wings - As stated before the shape of a vynens 'wings' depends on natural or human interference, ranging from default gliders or beautifully shaped structures.
✿Helm/Gem - Vynen can have different helm shapes although their eyes are never visible. Each Vynen is born with a mana gem encrusted into their forehead.

Where do we go from here?✿❀Lines Artist Search/Contest/Commission❀✿
I have great plans for this species bit I want to learn and get the hand of running a community, I do have plans for how I envision adopts to be made in the future but for now I plan on either commissioning lines for pets or USD(Discussed offsite)or hosting a species lines contest on oekaki or in pixel art in the very near future.✿❀What kind of ARPG?❀✿
I've been involved in many adoptable communities over the years and have fallen in love with so many species that it's definitely a point of contention on what for sure direction to take this species. I have a few things in mind I would love some input on.
✿"Create a character" - Require a storage and OC in order to try out for adopts, heavy focus on player involvement for adopts, lore-building, and activities.
✿"Involved Progression" - Build up your storage and reputation by completing weekly/monthly prompts, activities, and more.
✿"Genetics ARPG" - Create a genetics system for adopts. Free founder, all other Vynen bust be earned, system allows for 'same' design to be interpreted many different ways.
✿"Batch Adoptables" Release adopts in themed batches, perhaps a migration calendar or a certain climate has a bonus.
✿"Unique Adoptables" - Regular adopts, each one different from the last, up to artist
✿"Opt-In" - More community focused, users actively involved in the community have more chances to adopt than someone who wishes to opt-out of the Vynen experience and try out for adoptables.
