Two years ago today, I launched Gear Deer version 2! It's grown and changed a lot since then, and today I am announcing a new change!
Custom Item Spells are being introduced in the event shop. Custom Item Spells can be used to make new custom items. After the event, they will be available in the normal shop. This is to introduce a change in the way future traits work; we are separating custom items from traits going forwards. Traits, defined as being organic parts of the deer, will work the way they always have; able to be passed to children and morphed. Items, defined as being nonorganic and separate from deer (including items held in mouth and hats), will work the way they always have; cannot pass and cannot morph. THIS WILL NOT AFFECT PAST TRAITS! Up to three custom items can be applied to a deer on top of the 10 traits allowed. This allows for more customization of deer! The items can be applied with the custom form, or after. This change will be applied to all customs from this post on.
For example, if you want your custom deer to have a wizard hat, you will need a custom item spell. If you want your deer to have a fifth leg, that is a custom trait that will need to be approved.
Custom items, like traits, are to be shared. Once you order a custom item, others can also use that item. If we want to use your custom item as an official item, you will be compensated for your idea with a gift of that item!
