Wow this reminds me a lot of Create-A-Clan but with pixel-y cats, I wonder if you plan on only doing adopts and such or if you're planning to make a system like CAC?
Honestly I'm interested either way, only leaning more to "just adopts, casual arpg" because of the same reason I lean away from CAC- very complex mechanics that take a lot of time to read & comprehend aren't my strong suit since I have focus issues.

i did base myself off cac + a game called clangen to create this uma!
rogue's main focus is the adopt/litter system, we do have our own mechanics & we do encourage world building/lore but that's 100% the users choice! as for our mechanics, i'm trying to make it simple enough but still enjoyable, as i know very complex mechanics are tiring to understand/learn. we have one main mechanic which is exploring, and you're also not required to do so, as it's more of a reward giving system. so, different from cac, the cats won't need to hunt to feed the clan and stuff like that! you're free to choose if you want to participate only in the adopt part or dive a bit more into the lore building & other systems!
although, rogue does have a lot of things to read. we want users to experience it in a first person view, as if your leader (or in the case the cat that represents you!) was talking to the npcs and learning the things you are learning, creating a history that you could follow in your world building ( :
i know reading a lot of stuff is boring, but hopefully experiencing it as a chat with the cats/getting to know the characters instead of just a instruction manual will make the reading more enjoyable and that's what i'm trying to do with all the text present in rogue!

I am so happy to see an adopt like this that has optional mechanics! I hope you don't take me wrong- I have no issue with a lot of reading, and I ADORE lore and worldbuilding! However I'm also a person who struggles to focus and I have memory problems that make my day-to-day life difficult, so memorizing complex feature mechanics for exploration and the like gets overwhelming very quickly. I can only speak for my own experience, of course!
I do feel that you've done a great job leading the reader, and I admire your use of NPCs to deliver information! I've read the whole thread already. Keep up the good work! I think I'm really going to enjoy this group n.n

and i completely understand your point, english is not my native language so i also get really overwhelmed with complex structures & worddings, i know the struggle haha! that's why i want the uma to be as chill as possible so everyone can enjoy! π
