Is it free? - yes, but upgrades are not

What do I do? - fill out and post the form. do not edit your form at all. if you need to correct something, quote it and add the new or changed information.

What if I want upgrades? - upgrades must be purchased after claiming. see the post.

How many do I get? - one per litter. each litter has a different form. if you fill out the same form twice or put two adoptables on one form, you're doing it wrong, and you get only the first one you claimed.
↪️ sometimes a portion of the litter will only be available for non-owners and may be visibly separated from the rest, but it is still one litter. as long as the numbers are continuous, it's one litter.

Did I get it? - the code post determines the owner. so for a first come first served litter, if you were the first one to post a correctly formatted form, you got it, and your name will be on the code post.

When can I use my adoptable? - please wait for the code post to go up.

What's the codeword? - for searching and organization purposes. dont touch.

3. wherever you post your adoptable, it must link to this thread or otherwise be properly credited. my instagram is @felo_tinyart and my toyhouse is felo

4. You own your forest floor friend as an adoptable and can adapt it to be an OC, but I own the original artwork. I pretty much only say this in case I want to sell stickers later ;P shouldn't affect casual use - if you actually want to technically own your adoptable art, make an offer

5. Do not edit your forms. Quote it to make changes instead. edited forms are disqualified. the first correctly formatted form gets the adoptable.

4. there is a limit of 50 claimed adoptables and 100 bred adoptables per person. customs are limitless. see post for details. I don't know if this will ever be needed, I just saw a UMA have this rule "to prevent hoarding" so yeah I'm trying it out.

7. the only acceptable way to edit your FFF is to resize it. I also provide this service under "upgrades."

8. do not use FFFs that do not belong to you.

failure to follow the rules can result in punishment without warning. the most serious breaches will be met with a ban and revoked adoptables.
I'm not unreasonable. mistakes are mistakes, and i know that. i'll always give you the benefit of the doubt at first. pretty much only straight-up cheating and/or being very rude will get you banned.

FFF = forest floor friend = any adoptable with a normal ID#. simply a number. if the ID# starts with S, it is an SFF.
SFF = seafloor friend = sea slug adoptables from the Seafloor Friends event. their ID#s start with S. they require a seafloor friends breeding coin to breed with any other adoptable, even another SFF.
MC = mycelia coin = currency needed to purchase from the shop.
BC = breeding coin = shop item
semi-custom = custom using an existing base. you may specify colors, details, and minor line edits.
full custom = custom that is all-new art. you may specify everything you want.

how do - fill out the form--you must have sufficient mycelia coins (MC) to purchase. send pets or c$ to get MC. there is no user-made archive; your funds will be kept track of by me in the archive.
how much does it cost? - each upgrade specifies how many MC it costs.
can I get a medium or small resize? - yes. small is 200% zoom, medium 400%, and large is 800% zoom (shown). the original adoptable is considered "tiny" size.

BREEDING
home

Through the magic of magic, you can combine adoptables to make new ones! the offspring may be an obvious mix of the parents, or something completely weird and new might happen! some adoptables have breeding limitations.

How do I breed my adoptables? - fill out the form and have the appropriate items. you can buy the items and then request the breeding on the same post. just use the appropriate forms.
How much does it cost? - 1 breeding coin (BC) costs 200 MC in the shop.
How many babies do I get? - 2 per breeding coin for up to a total of 6 babies. this means up to a total of 3 BCs may be used in a breeding.
How do I breed with someone else's adoptable? -

1. one person should fill out the form and the other should quote it saying something like "confirmed" etc.
2. funds/items come out of the account of the person who posted the form, unless you tell me otherwise
3. The offspring will be divided up by you! speak with your partner and decide who wants what. this can be done at any point; before or after seeing the babies. Simply let me know your decision on this thread or in the discord.
4. If a peaceful decision cannot be made, final decision is up to me. I will likely assign randomly at that point.

what are the limitations? - seafloor friends require a special coin to breed.
how long will it take? - please allow up to 2 weeks for results.
what is my user ID? - the number at the end of the url on your profile page
what is the adoptable's ID#? - check the archive, which is under construction. sorry. if you can't locate the ID right now, thats fine, just use the image.

trading off-thread (trading for other UMAs or characters) IS allowed at Forest Floor Friends, but it must be allowed by the other UMA as well. I can't confirm trades over on that thread, i can only reflect the trades posted here. at most, I will read the main rules of the UMA to see if trading is mentioned and allowed. I won't follow up if it's unclear. its on YOU to make sure you follow the rules of the UMA YOU participate in.

*linking the main thread is good, but the more resources, the better. I'm talking: the adoptable's code post, proof of discussion between you and your trading partner, or UMA mods/admins that your trade offer is valid, etc. these are suggestions, but the better the "receipt" we have, the safer and more fair we can be if a problem arises.
