3-29-20: Hey there! As anyone might know, the last time Herbaries were around was in 2018. Crazy, right? Pixelated Prophecies was sadly unable to continue running it, so I took over.
And then I got swamped with life, y'know? But now I'm hoping to get these guys back up and running. Things will be shifting around and changing as you see, as there are... several problems that came up.
Firstly, the original files for the lineart got lost. I'm working to recreate them and/or find them and possibly make new traits and good stuff for them. Secondly, some portions of important threads did not have ownership transferred to me. I can't edit the original archives. The customs portion of the main thread isn't under my control. These threads will be remade and reworked to work better. This may take some time, so please be patient. Then again, in two years, everyone has been.

A Herbari is a dog-sized creature that blurs the line between plant and animal!
Plants grow from the soil on the Herbari's back, and they use photosynthesis to
provide energy to both the plants and the Herbari. In return, the Herbari protects
the plants from being eaten. Herbaries are herbivores, and while they won't eat
plants growing on themselves or other Herbaries, they will eat plants growing on
the ground. This provides nutrients to both the plant and the Herbari.

receive a shop item, a random amount of gold petals, or even a Herbari!

Traits, Breeding, and Customs

Traits
These are the traits that are currently possible for Herbaries to have!

Weekly free Herbaries will always have common traits. Uncommon or rare traits can be obtained from breeding, trading your Herbaries, or from purchasing customs.

Please know that in the near future these might be changing. Some traits may or may not retire, and some new ones might be added!

Breeding

Breeding two of your own Herbaries costs 20 gold petals, and you will get two Herbaries. If you are breeding with someone else, each person will get one Herbari and each user will pay 10 gold petals. Breeding can be denied if the two Herbaries are too similar in design to produce unique offspring or if the two Herbaries are too closely related. You can only have one breeding slot at a time.

Rarity of traits will effect how many offspring have that trait. For example, a parent with a common trait and a parent with a rare trait will most likely produce offspring with the common trait, but two parents with two different rare traits will have a 50/50 chance of producing offspring with a certain rare trait.
