As you walk in to the stable, you see a mare with weird markings roaming around freely. "She probably escaped her stall. I'll get her back there." You approach the mare, but there is no halter... Nothing to grab on. You decide to wrap your hand around her neck. "Hey, stop it! Let me go!" You look up. The mare is looking at you with anger in her eyes. "You can talk?!" "Of course I can, silly. Welcome to Pixel Pons! Here, you can adopt your own Pixel Pon, PP for short. What are you waiting for? Just go and adopt your first horse!" She pushes you near the adoption center, then leaves you alone, walking into her stall... You notice that on a piece of wood is written her name. "Flame..." You'll remember that name forever.

You can win a competition! When you win a competition, your horse gains either stamina, gallop, show jumping etc. This means, you can later have better foals! That means, you can be the breeder of the champions. A maxed out horse has 500 of everything. Then it cannot join a competition anymore, since it's completely trained.
