an idea created in april of 2017 and later developed in june of the
same year, welcome to Pygmy Dragons! pygmies are four-legged
creatures the size of a large dog and can be found in a wide array
of colors and designs. at this center, you can adopt, breed, and
explore with your dragons. click any of the links to the left to read

not unlike most other adoption centers, we have rules here
that are reinforced by our staff. strikes and bans are given out
as seen fit if rules are repeatedly broken. strikes will go away
after time, while bans will (most likely) not. you are expected
to read these rules before using any thread associated with
pygmy dragons.

[ staff rules]
> respect the community, you are no better than anyone else
that frequents this center.
> staff members are allowed to enter for raffles as much as
other adopters, but artists are not allowed to try out for
pygmies they made.
> artists should not use pure black, eye-burning colors, or
change the canvas size at all.
> you will receive one free custom upon joining the team.
> i reserve the right to revoke titles if i see abuse of power.

[ general rules ]
(if you are in a hurry, read just what is in bold.)
> art theft is absolutely not tolerated here.
> do not start fights or arguments with other users. if you feel you
are being treated unfairly or see an issue, contact minette.
> chatter/questions/concerns/etc. should be posted to the center's
chat thread. posting it here would be considered spam and worth a
warning or strike.
> do not pester, rush, or complain profusely to the staff about
production speed.
> this is a closed species, do not make your own.
> selling your pygmy dragons for off-center currency is not
allowed whatsoever. however, trading/selling for our currency is
as long as you get permission.
> do not edit the images of your pygmy dragons.
> there is a maximum of five customs per user.
> if i need new staff, i will as for applications. do not ask to be staff
if the applications are closed.
> if you are banned, i reserve the right to take away and rehome all
raffle-adopted pygmy dragons in your possession.

[ strikes / bans ]
there are currently no users with strikes or bans on their accounts
at this time.

ec pygmy dragons have evolved to display a vast range of adapted
mutations to help them live in the various climates that they do. we
have taken it upon ourselves to categorize them all neatly for you
so that you may use them for reference. for simplicity's sake, i have
taken the liberty of dividing the rarities into tiers of cmn, uncmn,
rare, and lgnd; each with a corresponding color of either white,
lilac, purple, or dark purple respectively. legendary mutations
are not available for breedings, unless a specific berry is used.
legendary mutations are also unavailable for customs.

[ wings ]
wings are essential for all pygmies, and have not been found
to be an optional trait (like the crest and tail groups). even the
'no wings' trait hides a recessive gene for 'standard wings'.

standard, shell, no wings, imperial, aqueous

tiny, butterfly, galactic, autumn

[ other ]
the 'other group' is confusing because it's the only group of
mutations that is not 100% present in all crested pygmy
dragons. for that reason, this category is very small and we
have presently not found/created any mutations in this tier
that would be considered common.

unihorn, feral ears, geode, floral infestation

[ crests ]
crests are the defining features of pygmy dragons, and help
to identify their species. All ec pygmies have a crest, and it
is currently genetically impossible for them not to have the
crest gene, although in rare cases it is hidden.

standard, spiral, seadragon, mane, curved

skull, antler

[ tails ]
the tail group is the tier with the wides variety. like the crest and
wing tiers, crested pygmies will 100% of the time be seen with a
tail. all tails are available for customs, save from the 'lgnd' tier.

fluffy, lion, plasma, fin

looking to adopt a pygmy dragon? all raffle-type adoptions
are done here (though you can receive pygmies through
exploration, events, etc. as well). raffles are scheduled once
a week, with three-seven eggs per clutch. each adopter is
allotted one entry into each raffle, unless otherwise stated.
when filling out the adoption form, please remember to fill
everything in before posting, or your form will not be
counted into the raffle list. all winners are chosen fairly
with this website.

here you can breed two of your own (or one of your and
someone else's) pygmy dragons together. all pygmy dragons
are genetically asexual so they have no defined genders and
can breed regardless. the only limitation is that pygmy
dragons don't breed with others from their clutch. to breed
two dragons together, there is a fee of 100c as well as
additional costs for breeding items to benefit outcomes.
owners will get their pick of one offspring to keep, and the
rest of the offspring will be raffled off. after breeding,
pygmies will have a cool down of 60 days, in which they will
not be able to breed again. if you want to breed two dragons,
fill out the form below. do not post a form if the form
below vv is not open.

we also offer custom-made pygmy dragons at this center.
artists can volunteer their time and skills into taking orders
for custom pygmies for adopters. there are currently five
slots on the waitlist, and they are first come first serve.
each adopter may only have up to five customs, so choose
yours wisely. the base fee for ordering a standard
custom is 300c + 5c/10c/30c for each cmn/uncmn/rare
mutation swap respectively. line edits are +15c each.
(standard custom = standard crest, tail, and wings only)

the world of Eyrixa (more commonly known as 'dragon's
land') is widely unknown to most beings. from time to time,
users will be able to send out their dragons in collaborative
groups to scour the surrounding lands of their treasures.
by exploring, you can find coins, rare/explore-exclusive
items, upgrades, and even pygmy dragon eggs. normal
conditions yield a 50% change of coming up empty-handed
after your dragons return, but that can be enhanced by
giving your dragons specific items to increase their
scavenging ability called 'upgrades'.

to explore, you must own at least one pygmy dragon that you
can send out (unless during an event, where you may explore
without a dragon). this means that you cannot send breeding
pygmies or 'work-in-progress' customs. if your pygmy dragon
does not fall into either of those categories, then you may
use it for exploring. you also may only post once per 'party',
and you must wait for me to say a party has returned before
you can post another request to explore (assuming that it is
still open).

exploring is currently closed.
