The Pond

Hello iam the mascot of the pond, and the swan infront of me is my partner, we belong to *Simon*. Here you can adopt some Aquatic creatures, head on to the next post to find out what we have here so far.

Rules

10. if you ask for a reserve, ill reserve it for you for 24 hours, please fill out a form in that time or it will go back up once the 24 hours are up. The reason for this is so people with phones,iphones,ipads exctra wont miss out if they cant access a laptop when the litter goes up.

Discovered creatures at the Pond
the discoverer is the user who drew the lines. If they have nothing under them they where drawn by me

Swans where the very first creature discover here, and they have developed some sub Species while here. This is the normal one and is very common around here, they can fly and dive under the water to get fish or pond weed to eat, but they always come to the surface due to there bouncy, they can float on the top of the water and use there legs to paddle. There feathers are waterproof

Dragon swans, they prefer to stay on the banks of the pond eating the pond weed and fish that come near the edge, The reason for this is that if there head gets to wet they can lose there ability to breath fire for a long time, and they are scared of this. They can flare out there frills to try and scare away predators.

Nessies are slightly bigger then the swans, but are super friendly, they spend most of there time under water, and are very swift and fun loving. On hot days they like to clime out of the pond and sun bathe on the bank, but they always stay near the water as its the way to escape from predator's, they are slow and clumsy on the ground then they are in the water, its like they are two completely different creature. They are also air breathers, having to surface ocationaly to take a breath, but ocationaly they will stay at the surface to chat to the swans.

Sealiflys are a seal that learned how to use big flippers on it's back to fly. Since they don't need as much water anymore, they go to ponds.

Swan wharks are named due to the fact they eat Swans, they just cant resist them, If they spot a lone swan they will come up from underneath and attack like a white shark attacks a seal. But unlike Seals, Swans have an allie, a protector of sorts, Nessies, they hate the wharks and the wharks hate them, but unfortunately for the wharks the nessies are bigger and stronger, and always win in a one on one fight. Nessies can even take on a pack of wharks and half the time come out victoriose, but if they meat with more then one pack they cant cope as well. Owners of swans need a Nessie protector if they wnt to add a wharks to there group. If the wharks then trys to attack one of the owners swans or even in the wild the Nessie will come to there friend defence imeadly, attacking the wharks until it flees. Nessies though they hate the wharks will never ever kill them, Though the wharks will try and kill the nessie if they can. Nessies can become very overprotective if a whark is near by.

Note:it has been found that is a Whark becomes attached to its owner, it wont try and eat the swans the owner cares for, in fact it will help the nessies protect the swans from there own kind.

Forever young syndrome Whalks are, well lets just say if they didnt look like there adults you would never think they where related. Where adults are like Sharks, the FYS's act like Dolifins, they are playful, seaweed eating whalks. Strange i know, but its almost like once they become FYS there whole body changes in so many differnt ways.

Bunny Nymphts are Bunnys mixed with snakes, they lay eggs like snakes and can move in two ways, Folding there legs to there sides and slithering like a snake or dragging there body along.They are a almost unheard of breed becuse currently there are very few of them. And those that do live tend to be eaten by almost every living thing at the pond, bar the swans and fish, who do not like red meat. Wild Bunny Nympht's are extreamly skitish if found and will most likely vanish if you blink when spotting them. The ones who are caurt are normaly very shy and skiddish, bolting into a small hiding hole like a rabbit when there is even the smallest of noises. It takes a lot of patents and kindness to befriend one of these critters, but its well worth it. though they have no venom, they can edmit a very loud and high pinched screeching squeal, that is so bad it can cause any other creature near by to claps and try and block out the noise, the only downside to this is that they cant keep up the noise and escape at the same time. Normally though the attacking creatures ears are still ringing from the sound they can get away. They currently have no friend with the other creatures due to there skiddish nature.

Sadly Forever young syndrome Bunny Nymphts have no defence,due to there vocal cords not being fully devolped to aloue them to shreak. There have been none found the wild at all,becuse once there parents find out they have it, they chase them out when there sibblings are old enought to be chased out, they cant risk keeping around the FYS's or they could end up geting killed also. The only way it was found that they had kids with FYS was when the first litter was bred with a FYS in it. Due to being in captivity the parents are not so likely to chase away any of there kid due to trusting there owner to keep them safe, and well fed. FYS Bunny Nymphts are very playful unlike there adult selves, due to being around humans and not knowing the danger they would be in if they where in the wild, in fact half the time they tend to enjoy pulling pranks on there owners, though harmless they can get anoying after a while.

The Puddle
This is where Creatures end up with no owner, its an awful place, with little water, and even then its to shallow for them to swim at all. They hate it here so much, so as soon as someone wants them they jump at the chance to get away from this horrible place, so as soon as a form appears for them they practically throw themselves at the user who wants them, happy that they no longer have to live in this horrible place.
Note:you can only adopt one a week to give others a chance.

Hello, iam the current mascot, and yes i have yet to have a name, that will happen later. You see I have gotten very lonely sitting up there by myself, Other Swans have friends and flocks, and familys, where i have nothing. No family, no mate, nothing. I was the first ever Swan that was made but iam also the loneliest, becuse iam owned by no one, and have no flock to call my own. I see your suprized expresions there, yes no one owns me, not even Saphira344 who runs the thread. Now back over to Tabby and Emperor to tell you the rest.

So as you can see the mascots a bit blue and upset at the moment, She wants a flock, so its up to you guys to designe one for her, but if you don't want to designe a Swan you can make her a little friend, only thing is it cant be a pleo or goldfish as Swans eat them and the breeds hate each other. Anyone can enter, be they artist, guest artist or any or the normal adopters. But who will chose her mate, Everyone, the mates made will be put in a poll for everyone to vote on what her mate looks like. Now to Tabby to explain the rest

Hello, for this contest you can not use the Clubtail,Longtail and Axsalotal lines, the reason for this is that the winner gets to own the current mascot and her friend/mate,and those are the rarest linearts so it wouldnt be fair so they are unavailable for this. That and i dont want like 20 longtails and none of the others.

Anyhow now for the conditions and rules
1. you can use all linearts bar the ones that are unavailable
2. Though you can use any linart you can only make two of each, two males for the swan a male and female of the others.
3. no badmouthing other entry, badmouthing others will get you disqualified and maybe even banned
4. Post your entry here so others can check them out

though if you try and steal someone else entry youll be disqualified.
5. If any of the staff take part and win they will get promoted to artist, but if they are already an artist, they will just stay as an artist.
6.all entry that don't make it will be kept by there makers or put into a litter
