Radon was a different JMD.
Then he met someone who changed him.
He was playing in front of his frontyard, chasing a butterfly that was sporting his fur colors. He ran into a short pink JMD with black stripes and a black jewel.
"Sorry, miss!" Radon squeaked as she glared daggers at him, seeming to grow taller within a nanosecond as she puffed up in anger.
"Don't 'sorry' me, peewee. Watch where you're going!" Radon found himself sprawling from a smack from her tail. He yelped in fear and hit his face in his curled up forelegs, body racked with shudders.
"I'll look where I'm going next time!" he wailed, hoping for this JMD to leave him alone. But of course he wasn't very lucky.
The JMD smirked, placing a paw on his back, right between his wings, and stepped down hard, making him scream and claw frantically at the ground in an effort to get away from her. She only stepped down harder until there was a soft cracking noise. Radon's wings started to violently twitch, not of his free will.
"Oops," she said in mock apology, stepping off him with a fake gasp. "Did I hurt you?"
Radon whimpered and tried to get his wings back under control, until one had a particularly violent spasm and smacked his tormenter in the chest decently hard.
She was snarling and about to do something to him when a voice called "Minerva?" in a trembling manner.
Minerva narrowed her eyes. "Don't think I'm done with you yet, peewee. Or should I call you Butterfly-Boy?"
"My n-name's R-radon," he muttered, wings twitching even more violently as Minerva got back in his face.
"I get to choose what to call you. I get to choose a lot of what HAPPENS to you, too. And I'll be back, Butterfly-Boy. You're fun to play with." Minerva smirked and then ran off.
Radon stood up, winced at his back pain and twitching wings, then sprinted back toward his house with tear-filled eyes.
