Have you ever read or written a story where the main character was the villain?
I mean, one of my favorite book series (the Lunar Chronicles) has a prequel book that focuses on the villain as the main character, but that was just one.
The last story that I wrote (I spent nearly 5 years writing and rewriting it) I had one version of it that was written from the villain's point of view, but it completely changed the story. It didn't make me have any sympathy for him though, so at least that didn't change. It actually made me hate him more. That might be why I had to stop and rewrite it. It wasn't my final product, and I didn't like it.
But I do really enjoy stories that have the villain as the main character, especially because it gives the reader a bit more insight rather than just "oh man this dude is super evil gotta get rid of them" and there is unfortunetly not enough books written in that way!

I don't recall ever reading one with the villain as the main character, but one of my stories is written mainly from the villain's pov.
Strongly I'm not entirely positive who's the good guy in that story.

Um. Well . . . . . . Meh? I mean, my only story with an actual, clear antagonist is Griffin, and she's . . . sh-she hasn't shown up yet, really. Miss Psycho-Vampire-Lady kinda went evil because she got a power addiction. That's all there is to it. *shrugs* boring, yes, but I'm'na work on it!!
. . . . hopefully

It really makes you think, "How much bad can a hero do before he becomes the villain?" Like it's justifiable for the protagonist A to kill antagonist B, but what about when protagonist A kills antagonist B, and his family in the result? How far does heroism go when it comes to morals? Sorry I'm super deep, it's like 2am here.

Yes, actually. One of the first stories I wrote. Basically, my idea came from the idea that, in some stories, there isn't any capitalization because the character that is being written about is insecure, and doesn't feel as though they deserve capitalization (something along those lines). I switched that around and thought "well, what if the main character was a murderer who thought very highly of themselves and capitalized everything referring to them and nothing else?" It didn't get very far, but I still think about it a lot and I think maybe I could salvage part of that plot and stick it in a new story.
Alright, we can go all night
'Cause we got a whole lot of f i g h t i n u s
And I see a long road that we gotta follow
Before tomorrow catches up
Lights: ON
Backed up on LOLO! Might take an extra day or so past October, sorry!

Actually, for English a little while ago, we had to write a short story, and I wrote mine from the point of view of a superhero. Her 'supervillian' was terrible at being a supervillian because he was a cinnamon roll, and so at the end they switched roles, with her as the new villian and him as the hero. I think that counts?

Hey, guys. I iz havin' a problem. I'm trying to research werewolves for a short story I'm doing, and I'm getting some conflicting results.
Site A says they're very solitary creatures that are more like wolf-sharks than humans with no human form.
Site B says they're only semi organized, but can change how wolfy their appearance is ((Still no absolute human form)).
Site C says they can change from human to large large wolves who live in very organized packs. Could somebody please help me with this? I'm confused and no longer know how to write my story ((*frustrated as all get-out*))

@avian- For some reason that sounds adorable ^*^ The villain, I mean. I'm curious to know as to why he was a villain in the first place and what drive the hero to give up being a hero for evil.
@Nyxx- Interesting concept, yes. And I get it, lol, I've been told I get really philosophical when it's late at night and I'm tired.
@Randy- (Can I call you that?) I think that it all depends on what you want to go with. I've been researching fairies and have gotten such conflicting results. I'm probably going to end up picking out pieces of different lore that I like and smashing them all together. So it really depends on what you personally want to do for your story.
