I'm sorry. I think the "actual novels" came out a bit wrong. I was talking about things that were going to be professionally published. Is the 5k word count from start to end of a story, or can a person jump in the middle of a story and start counting there?

In other news, I wrote a bit more on that "old legend" type story I posted earlier. Would anyone like for me to post it?

@Unmotivated peeps: Don't give up! Just keep going, you'll get it eventually. Just remember: Tolkien took 12 years to write the Lord of the Rings, but he still finished.

First of all, YES, definitely post more.
The 50k is only what you've written in November. I started my story like a year ago, but I'm still using it for Nano. You just count the words written during Nano.

I have a char like that too.

So I named some stuff... With Randy's help I didn't do anything, it was all Randy my species has a name now: Trylfeo. Which I'm honestly not sure how to pronounce... And I've named the capitol city for some of the Kingdoms.
First Kingdom: Kavi. Second: Kala. Fourth: Oriana. Seventh: Darya. I have four more to name. But I'm getting somewhere!

i hate outlining so much because i'm impatient and i'll change my mind as i'm writing haha
the only time i made anything close to an outline was for a rewrite of my first novel and that was just to make sure that i rewrote all the important plot points haha

@luminosity, that story is really good! i love the descriptions. it really helps to get the reader immersed into the story! is this it, or are you planning to write more? if there is more, I'd love to read it! ^-^

Well. First, could I read the story if it's up anywhere? Also, I think it'd be a better blurb if we knew what a Higher was; is it a warrior, just a title that doesn't hold any weight behind it - stuff like that. And to be honest, most of my stories have the main character's name as their title. Lawless would be as good as I ever get.
