How long have you stayed up writing because you just couldn't stop?

I have to keep a strict schedule, despite not having a job yet, for my mental health and the overall health of my pets. Basically, the longer I let the night drag on, the louder my demons start to growl, and the later I get up, the sadder I feel about the few hours of daylight I missed. However, despite that, there was one time where I really could not stop typing. It was two years ago, and I remember posting about it on the original Inklings thread. I started at nine or ten (at night) and continued well until one in the morning. I could've kept going, but I forced myself to stop because I was starting to get really tired, and go past my schedule.

I love writing, but I hate doing the actually writing... Anyone else know what I mean? XD

Heyo! I'm back from neglecting this thread once again! xc

So anyway, I typed up a story today, in which its two pages long, so short story? Well anyway, I can't remember it from word from word, and I prefer not to share it with you until I get it back Monday ;3;

But anywayyyyy I have been also neglecting my story, yay! But I'll get back to it :3

How do you get interested in your story again after getting bored of it?

Well it depends. It depends on what time and whatt I had stopped on. Or if I get a new idea for the story, I will actually work on it a bit more and let it prevent me from doing actual work.

Do you listen to a special sound track, or genre and Playlist while writing

It all depends on what the scene is. I usually just find some certain song and just write until I decide to write a sad or destructive scene. But when I just listen to music and not write, I kinda get an idea from what I want tto do for that certain story. ;u;

is there any game, book or media peice that has inspired you into doing a plot?

Lots actually. There are some references to certain games and all. But some games such as TLOZ Twilight Princess, Minecraft, Undertale, and more has inspired me to make characters and write out certain plots. The story that I'm currently writing now, The Ruins of Ambrosia City has some odd references to it, and inspiration, but what has inspired me to do that story? I'll leave itt up to you to find out :3

Do you work better in the day time or night time?

Pretty much both. During the day time its usually on weekends and holidays, while night time its during school nights. But I have been procrastinating to write this story.

How well do you think cameos could work in writing?

Oh well I honestly don't know how this willl work. I haven't gotten to the point for a friend's character's to make an appearance. But Tinker's character has been mentioned more than once. So does that count...?

How to get rid of writers block? -_-

How many characters have killed? And have you brought some back to life in another story just to be eventually killed again?

....Heh. Hahhahahahhahahaha. Well I have killed a human 5 times, but the antagonist keeps bringing her back just to get her killed again. I have probably killed a few characters, but that was only last year, but there's going to be an upcoming death in my story. ;3

...At night, my 'best time' was at least until 1:30 am before I actually fell asleep... Y'know...

I'm in need of opinions for something I wrote!
I'm thinking about saying this to my choir class, and maybe entering in a poetry contest at my school.

I met this girl.
She smells like flowers.
But not the roses, or the lilies, or the good smelling flowers.
She smells like death.
The type of flowers that have lived their life and has now crumpled to the ground.
Just waiting to live again.

I met this girl.
Who hides her pain behind a smile she shows every single day.

I met this girl.
Her eyes are like chocolate.
They melt whenever she goes into the sun.

I met this girl.
Who've I known for only so long and yet it seems like I've known her my whole life.

I met this girl.
Who when I look into her eyes I can see that she wants to cry... but won't.
Because she doesn't cry at school.
Because she doesn't want to show weakness.

This girl.
I'm staring at her right now and she's blushing.
Trying to hide the fact that she knows it's her I'm talking about.

I want her to not hide anymore.
I want her to come up to me and at least say "Hi".
I want her to show her true colors, because I've seen them and damn they're beautiful.

I know this girl.
Who has a girlfriend.
Yet I can't seem to wrap my head around the fact that she does.

I glance at this girl whenever I get the chance.
I hope to see that smile.
The one that doesn't hide the pain.
The one that shows a happy moment she has discovered.

I want this girl.
I need this girl.
Because I can already tell she will brighten up my life.
She fills the hole that has burned into my soul.

I know this girl.
The one who is staring back at me.
The one who I can tell right now, even though she is blushing, she doesn't feel the same way.

Oh bejeez. That is lovely yet sad at the same time. I love how you can hear the hurt and just the utter want in the poem. Its great and heart-wrenching.

I also love the repetition of "I met this girl" before explaining something about her.

Sorry, love poetry.

Her contained despair that we actually never catch wind of, no hints no anything leading back to it so that we don't know why she feels this way and its troubling but at the same time it makes me want to actually know why.

Though I will admit it has a bittersweet ending. She already has someone despite the person wanting her so badly. The speaker will never get the closure they so want.

I love poems for this reason. Its not that many words but they still convey so much. You should enter it into the contest! I definitely hope you win!

I'm internally screaming after writing this.

Has anyone ever written something emotionally draining to yourself, but then just reading someone else's reaction made it all worth it?

Not really, mainly because I refuse to be in the room when someone is reading my work. My friend (mention him a lot ^^') once found my wattpad in school and started reading 10,000 Doors right there and honestly I almost had to leave the room. He did stop bc he knows the pain but that's literally the worst thing. My point is, I rarely ever see anyone's reaction to my writing so not really.

That was amazing! The use of repetition really enforces the feeling of want that the narrator is feeling, which just makes it so powerful! Definitely enter the competition!

Like I said, I literally have to leave because writing is a really personal thing to me, I put my soul into it and so when someone's reading it, I just feel like they're seeing my mind completely bare and uncensored which is really hard for me to do, because I find it really hard to be open about certain things in real life and writing is my way of expressing that, especially my poetry. I actually had to warn my friend not to read my poetry if he was in a particularly bad place bc I know he can be sensitive to some of the topics in there.
