Story Behind their Name:
Canon Reason
When Dean and Sanghyun had Jun, they had trouble naming him at first and for some time, he didn't really have a name expect for his nickname 'peach' which everyone called him. When both his parents came to see that he was wonderfully obedient and pure as he was filled with innocence yet a great mediator between his brothers Ren and Lee Jae, they decided to name him 'Jun' (which means "obedient; pure"). It was quite something when they called him out as 'Jun' for the first time! Jun was startled to hear his mother saying, "Jun, my little peach, would you please help us set up for dinner?" and when he returned to school, it was surprising to his classmates and teachers when his brothers began referring to him as 'Jun.' To be honest, in the beginning, Jun didn't feel comfortable at all whenever he was called 'Jun' as opposed to 'peach.' But, soon enough, it began to grow on him and now he's very fond of and attached to his name! cx

Personal Reason
When I traded for Jun, his previous owner Hinoka had already named him 'Jun.' I liked it so much and it's so fitting for the personality I have planned for him that I decided to keep it! <3

Workshop Two - Day Three Exercise

How many different places have they lived:
Well, at the moment, only one. She lives smack in the middle of a downtown urban city.

Why did they settle down where they are currently:
She lives in a place filled with streets upon streets of art shops. Sculptures stand sentinel at nearly every corner and quaint little restaurants are almost every turn. Live music plays everyday. Winnie can't bring herself to leave no matter how hard she tries.

Is there an ideal place they want to live, or are they already there:
Winnie has always dreamed of traveling the world and never really attaching and settling in one place . . . but, she's doing the exact opposite by remaining in her city home. Hence, she's torn about pursuing her dream of traveling the world or staying surrounded by the art she's grown up to love.

What are the biggest moments that have defined their life:
The first big defining moment for Winnie was when she decided she wanted to become a photographer. She had gone on a trip with her family and friends as a kit and they had brought her, it seemed, everywhere. All Winnie could remember was that she saw all sorts of cultures and communities different than her own. She experienced the waters of the beaches, the fires from a campsite, the great gusts of wind in the valleys, the earth between her toes when she was within a forest. She saw mountains, rolling hills, endless fields, unceasing waves of water, vibrant cities, and country roads. She embarked on many journeys and at the end, she received a polaroid camera. It began something special for Winnie and she began bringing this camera with her everywhere she went from then on.

The second defining moment for her was when she took her first job as a worker at the little fudge shoppe across the street from her house. It kept her close to the Kalons of the neighborhood and she met new Kalons each day as visitors from far off places constantly arrived to this small place, of all places, and she loves every second of it. Through this job, she met her lifelong friends. Plus, she always smelled like chocolate.

Does their future have a bright or darker outlook, and can they change it:
Yes, her future has a bright outlook! She still does not know how she'll go traveling the world, but she knows that one day she will.
It's just a matter of moving on, or maybe someone to help give her that push that she needs to lift off. And her photography?
It's crossed her mind a few times to open her own art shop among the many lining the world of streets and avenues she lives among. Maybe somewhere, sometime, someday down the road she will . . .

Workshop Two - Day Four Exercise

If they could write a letter to their past self, what would it say:
Hey, little Jilo, read this carefully. Oh, and if you can, make sure you get Seph to read this with you. Gosh. I can just see her leaning over your shoulder as you read this . . .

But, you know what, innocent fetus Jilo? Give it a few more years. Seph won't be there for you anymore. Your older sister, who you've always relied on for everything, she'll be gone. Lost forever as it seems.

That's why I'm here to tell you to react differently to this! I know this is hard to take in, but I hope that you will do as I instruct you to do in this letter. I really really really hope you do.

I don't want to take to long since I never really did have a way with words―you should know cause you're younger me and can already tell that. Anyway, this is what's important to know. It'll hurt a lot, but you ought to know it no matter what. Here it goes.

Seph will leave you. You two will drift farther and farther apart as time passes. (Seph, if you happen to be reading this too, don't bother trying to deny it or defend yourself. I know it'll happen, so just stop.) Just stay strong.

Don't make the same mistakes I made. I've done many things. Things I regret now. I've joined a gang. I've tampered with my face.
It's covered in holes. I've blasted music louder than possible. Now I can't hear in my left ear. Oh and that same left ear has a nick in it now. That's from a fight I got myself into. My hair has been cut and pinned in all sorts of crazy ways. There's no telling of what it originally looked like. I've dyed it so many times that, in a few more short years, I think it'll start falling out. I'm covered in products that make my coat sparkle and glisten. I'm surprised by fur hasn't fallen off yet either!

I don't want any of this for you. Do you know why I did all this? To get Seph's attention. But, guess what? None of it has worked. No matter how crazy the things I've said and done, she just wouldn't notice me. She's forever gone. Dead to me. I can't seem to reach her even though we're both alive and breathing.

So, little Jilo, don't do it. Don't do all this to get Seph's attention. She won't even notice. Go, live your life the way you want to.
I know you want to do art. Pursue it! Don't go down the same path I did. If you do, the closest you'll end up to your dream is spraying graffiti art on dumpsters and peeling walls. Don't skip school like I did. Don't get in with the wrong crowd like I did. Just don't do it. You'll end up on the streets, not alone, but feeling lonely.

Do the opposite of everything I did little Jilo. Do good. Do what you want, not what you want to get Seph to notice you again. Trust me, she won't even bat an eyelash at you. She'll be long gone. Trust me.

Goodbye. I wish I still loved you.

Workshop Three - Writing Prompt

Prompt:
Jilo and Maggie are gangmates. That’s right, in a gang. A gang that does bad things. That kind of gang.

Yet, when Jilo is in the company of Maggie, they don't do much of anything really bad. Although Jilo makes herself out as a tough cookie who doesn't, a won't, get hurt. But, that part of herself that's soft and sensitive which can be easily damaged can't be hidden from everyone. That's where Maggie comes in.

They may be gangmates, but let's say things get real bad, Maggie's there for Jilo and won't let her sink under. And any true 'crimes' they commit are things like breaking and entering an ice cream shop, knocking down the door to the storage refrigerator, steal a couple tubs of ice cream, then . . . leave money on the counter and exit quietly.

That's all there is to it to be honest. More like teammates than gangmates.

Workshop Three - Day One Exercise



Has your Kalon ever met their grandparents? If so, what do they think of them?
Yes, a few times. It's very seldom that Jun is able to visit his grandparents since they live so far away, but when he does get a chance to visit them, he loves them very much. Every time he visits, his grandma always brings him a grand platter of his favorite mussels coupled with a wide smile while his grandpa jokingly comments, "You smell like the ocean! Are you sure you aren't a big, pink walking seashell?"

What is your Kalon's relationship with their parents?
Mom (Sanghyun)
Ever since he was younger, Jun adored his mom as she often called him her 'little peach.' Being the soft lil' child he was, this caused her to have a sense of keeping him 'safe' from people, places, and things. Hence, Jun didn't go to out very much and when he did, he was often socially awkward. And although he appreciates his mom's love, even when it may seem over-excessive, Jun loves the more free-willing side of his mom. He'll be playful with Sanghyun a lot―especially when she's in a good mood and helps him prank other members of the family. However, as a now grown-up peach, Sanghyun no longer coddles him so much and has released her far more motherly nature upon him as opposed to her more childish side.

Dad (Dean)
The best way Jun and Dean bond is through their awkwardness . . . which really doesn't make sense, but to them it does! Dean wasn't always the best with flirting and he would often share hilarious stories about his failed attempts to woo Sanghyun at first. Also being a (somewhat) famous dancer, Jun always thought of this as the biggest deal ever so he was always dad's #1 fan! Dean even tried teaching him some dance moves (after Sanghyun tried as well) and failed, but has always encouraged Jun to keep trying, not only with dancing, but with all endeavors!

Both Parents
Jun loves both his parents very much and tries his best not to take their love for him for granted. He finds he can talk to both easily (more so his mom) and knows that both with support him through anything he goes through in his life. Even as a part of a large family with siblings, his parents always seem to find time for him and he appreciates that they do so.

Do they have any siblings? Are they blood related or adopted?
Yes! Jun has three blood related siblings: his same-age brother Rennie whom he calls Ren, his younger brother Lee Jae, and his lil' baby bro whom he matches braids with (although Jun believes his pink braids look better sshhhh)!

Does your Kalon have children? Do they/did they ever want to have kits?
Nope, none yet! But, Jun is a happy lil' bisexual peach (who leans more towards other dudes) and is definitely open to having kits when he feels that the time is right and he's ready along with whoever his future partner may be! Albeit, in all honesty, he'd much rather adopt kits instead of have his own.

Which family member is your Kalon closest to? Why?
His mom! Cause he's mommy's boy! cx

Is there a family member your Kalon wishes they could know better? Who is it?
Well, yeah! Everyone! Jun believes you learn something new everyday, so you never stop learning no matter how old you grow up to be! Jun wants to get to know his grandparents and parents better by coaxing them to tell more stories of their childhood. He tries to spend time with his brothers too whenever time permits him to so he can grow closer to them as well! He's basically the mediator of the family and he's the one everyone goes to for help, therefore, it's best for him to know each individual member of the family to be able to give them his best advice! <3

Workshop Three - Day Two Exercise



Who is your kalon's enemy/least favorite person? How did they come to feel this way about them?
Prince Edmund's greatest enemy will always and forever be Queen Mama Mia.

Edmund had once been placed in control of a flourishing kingdom which somewhat doubted his rule yet still continued to have faith in him. He had already been making progress since his parents had passed and was in the process of training to be the leader his people needed him to be, but everything had come to a crashing halt when a rival kingdom attacked them.

Led by, then Princess, Mama Mia's parents, the king and queen of an enemy kingdom struck. They burned the majority of his kingdom with the knowledge that Prince Edmund would not know what to do next. He had fled the horrifying scene and altogether abandoned the kingdom he ought to have protected. Since then, he's been following the path of a prophecy to restore his kingdom, but he has never lost the fiery rage within himself which he feels toward, now Queen, Mama Mia's kingdom.

Besides their best friend, who else is your Kalon friends with?
Well, Jilo doesn't really have a best friend . . .

But anyway, she's currently acquaintances/friends with Pilot (a good friend who owns/works at Jilo's favorite record store and gives good great advice with great patience), Maggie (they're gangmates who don't really do any real damage together and helps Jilo let loose), Dove (literally just the guy she gets her piercings from, but they connect well through talking), and Rue (the cashier at Jilo's local 7/11 who gives her discounts sometimes and treats her kindly).

What qualities does your Kalon look for in a friend?
- Patience
- Affection
- Compassion
- Understanding
- Good taste in music
- A sense of comradery

To be honest, buried very deep inside, Jilo really is just a sensitive lil' bean in need of some good guidance. So, in a sort of self-misled and twisted manner, she unconsciously seeks out friends who will take care of her. Tear apart all her layers of edgy teen/young adult angst and she's a lost kit. That's why all her friends who may seem just as edgy as she is, maybe even more, are actually good friends who make sure she's alright and won't go off doing something downright mental.

What qualities does your Kalon dislike in a friend?
- Insensitivity
- Being unsympathetic
- Having bad taste in music
- One who misunderstands her
- One who completely ignores her
- One who tries matching wits with her

Basically all the qualities which a Kalon who pisses her off possesses. That's all. Everyone else she can find ways to tolerate.

Would they risk their life to save a friend? A stranger?
This may sound terrible, but the only occurrence Jilo would feel the need to risk her life for someone else would be only if it were someone she truly cares about. Like, a lot.

Is it easy or hard to earn their trust? Why?
Very, very, extremely hard. Although she is a vulnerable soul, she's learned to harden the layers she's set in place to protect herself from being hurt again (she was terribly hurt once before and now she's nothing but cautious when letting someone new enter her life). Hence, Jilo is careful with the Kalons she allows herself to trust. She has only one or two friends she feels comfortable enough to open up to.
