Krystal's Closet
After waiting a few hours, you heard Krystal's chair be pushed backwards slowly. As you turned your head to face the sound, you see her stand up, organizing all of the letters she has opened and written. She places the stacks of envelopes and papers neatly down before approaching the middle of the room.

Krystal Aria Lovell wrote:"Please, let me show you something. You seem... different from most visitors. I can easily sense that you feel uneasy in this room; many of my visitors keep on going on and on about how they would love to have a room like mines. As soon as I tell them that it's not as nice as it appears to be, they always scold me, telling me that I am much too greedy for such a young princess. What they don't understand is that I'd rather have a smaller room. I would be more than happy to live in a house a peasant lives in instead of being stuck in this large castle for what seems to be all eternity.
I appreciate your patience and I feel that I can trust you with a little secret of mine. I hope that this will be somewhat exciting to you. I apologize if it's overly boring."
The young princess laughed softly. Sadness was still noticeable on her pale face, but it appeared as if talking to you has made her feel a little bit better. She reaches out her gloved hand towards you, urging you to grasp at it. You do. She pulls you up with absolute ease, surprising you once again. You follow in her footsteps as you both approach the door to the left.
As she opened the door, you were amazed at how spacious the room was. While it was definitely smaller than her bedroom, it was large enough to put a medium sized group inside. Covering the walls were different kinds of dresses, boxes, shoes, hats, and more. You noticed that all of the outfits had similar crystals decorating them; they were of a crescent shape, with a small tapering effect at the bottom. You looked at her current outfit, noticing that she had a belt on at her waist with the same symbol.

Krystal Aria Lovell wrote:"That is the symbol for the royal family. Those who are of royal blood can wear these outfits with these symbols on it. Our guards wear something similar, but instead of the taper being at the bottom, it's at the top. Same with our citizens; their symbol is just a simple crescent shape.
I don't know exactly why my family has such a peculiar symbol, but my parents said it had something to do with finding this kingdom in a patch of moonlight. Apparently my ancestors thought this patch of land was blessed due to the way the moonlight focused on it and they wanted to create a family symbol that would celebrate the moon's likeness."
You watched as Krystal went through her closet, picking out one outfit from the ones hanging on the wall and multiple boxes from below. She brought them out towards the center of the closet, laying them down neatly on top of each other with the outfit sitting on top of the boxes. She then stood back up, gently patting down her dress.

Krystal Aria Lovell wrote:"I suppose I'll start with the outfit I'm wearing right now. My parents encourage me to wear this dress often, just in case if visitors stop by randomly. It's one of my most formal dresses that I own at the moment. As you can see, my family's symbol is on my belt, like how you noticed before. There is also one on my tiara. Each symbol and gem you see on my outfit is made out of moonstone. Only nobles are allowed to wear such crystals due to their protective magical abilities. Even though my family doesn't believe in such magic, they still use it as a good luck charm and a symbol of class."
Krystal stooped back down to grab the outfit on top of the boxes before her. She held it up to her body and smoothed it down, ridding of the creases that had formed. She reminded you of a child playing dress up, especially when she let out an innocent laugh.

Krystal Aria Lovell wrote:"I hope I'm not boring you!
This is one of my favorite outfits that I own. It may not look like much, but it's comfortable and I think it's beautiful, especially with how it flows. Usually I wear simple lace up sandals with this dress instead of these painful heels, but I'm afraid that I hid them a little bit too well from my parents. They always get upset when they see me wear them, always saying that it doesn't look royal or princess-like enough."
You watched her neatly put back the outfit on the wall, continuously smoothing out the wrinkles and creases. She then knelt once more to open the boxes below her. She waved towards you, telling you to kneel along with her. You follow her command.

Krystal Aria Lovell wrote:"Sorry to keep you waiting. Here's the little secret that I want to show to you. It might not look like much, but I'm honestly not supposed to have a thing like this in my closet. This is something that I hand made myself... Well, that is, besides the armor and the jewelry. You see, I'm actually into magic; I believe that it exists, even though my parents don't. The learning of magic is also banned due to my family's irrational fear of it. Everything that I know is from books hidden away in the library that my family owns. They didn't burn the books out of fear of being cursed, so instead they made them nearly impossible to find. I don't think they expected me to go into the library to read books on magic seeing how often they tell me to stay away from it.
You also remember how I told you that these moonstones we own are supposedly filled with magic, right? They honestly are; without these stones, I wouldn't be able to cast a single spell that I've learned. What's even greater is that, due to how powerful these shards of stone are, I don't need a wand to use its power. Instead, the magic of the moonstones flow through me."
She put the outfit back into the box before grabbing the one to the side of it. She removed the lid from it, presenting a large mask.

Krystal Aria Lovell wrote:"And this is the final piece to the previous outfit. It's made from painted lacquered wood, reinforced spider's webbing, and more moonstone shards. This mask not only allows me to gain more strength from the crystals inside it, but it also helps conceal my identity.
If anyone were to know that I was doing this, I don't think it would end nicely for me... But I really do trust you, visitor. Please promise me you will keep this a secret?"
You nodded your head yes as she put the lid back onto the box. She smiled, putting the boxes back where she stored them. You both exit the room; you head back to the couch and she heads back to the desk to finish up her letters.
