I gently pat Heart of Gold's shell. "Hello, Heart of Gold," I say to the Aegolius. "how have you been?" A little white dog sniffs the egg. "Snow, meet Heart of Gold." I tell my dog, stroking his furry back. The dog hides his head under my arm shyly. Heart of Gold's egg wiggles a little, as in to say hi puppy! I spray on the fruit spray and the dog barks at four squirrels, one being weak and old enough to catch. The old squirrel was killed and carried away by the dog, Snow, to eat. "Enjoy your catch, Snow. It was very weak, and it deserved to go to heaven."

I pick up Heart of Gold and put her in a suitcase with a window. Snow followed. After the trip-on-foot, I feed Heart of Gold with spray while Snow feeds himself with bacon people threw at him.
