That memorable morning, I awoke to the howl of one of the rebellious dogs. At first, I was relaxed, for the other robotic dogs made noise quiet often. But when I opened my sleepy eyes, I saw the dog's huge body headbutt into one of the lab workers. He fell to the concrete ground with a thud as blood came out of ever direction possible. I was in panic now. I jumped to my feet and watched the fierce canine knock one of the lighted matches in another scientist's hand onto the floor of a table while he was trying to light a candle to control the robot. While the workers were trying to get out of the scene, I was in chaos also. What will happen to us? I thought as many horrible scenes popped into my head. But before I could think of any other terrible ways to die, I heard a loud thump. My friend, Blossom, had escaped her cage! Slowly but surely, she tried to open the sliding locks to help her fellow canines.

When she came to my cage a couple of minutes after, my eyes lit up and she helped me jump out. "Magnus, we have to get out quickly," Blossom said in her soft voice. Unfortunately, we were not safe just yet. The deadly inferno was getting bigger, and there was limited time until we were trapped in. As the hundreds of dogs made their ways to the exit, it was too late. The fire had already reached the door. Now was a good time to start panicking, but I wasn't ready to die. I turned around and searched for some kind of exit, and my eyes locked on our last option. "The window, quickly!" I barked loudly as the mass number of dogs were lead by me to the window. My steel body banged into the glass and it shattered into pieces. All of us jumped out of the burning building just in time to see our birthplace collapse.

"Well, we can't all live together unfortunately. It's too dangerous if we get caught," Blossom said wisely. "All of us have to choose some sort of pack and go off to wherever you want in this big world." After that, all of the dogs sat in the nearby forest and organized themselves into different packs. I chose my sister and my brother and their mates for my pack, but there was one dog missing. "Blossom?" I asked timidly. "W-will you join us?" I then gestured to my family and waited in silence for her response. "Of course I will, Magnus. Why would I refuse?" Blossom told me sweetly. With that, the pack ran off into the sunset, searching for a forever home.

As I walked through the streets, I was unsure what my new dog would look like. I had thought about getting a dog ever since I joined the New York police force. I wanted a German Shepherd or a guard of some sorts, since I lived alone and didn't look as skilled and tough as I am. Little did I know, my dog was going to be even more complicated than I had imagined.

I walked towards the pound and saw it had been destroyed. A women ran out screaming and grabbed my arm and pulled me away. "It's a monster! Run while you still can!" the woman screamed and I stared at her confused. "What monster? What happened here?" I asked in regard to the woman's panic. Seeing I could not be helped she continued running away screaming.

I walked into the almost completely destroyed building and looked around. There were no pets, only ruble of once remaining buildings and structures. I turned the corner and decided to pull my gun out just to be sure, since I am an agent and I thought that this might be a situation where being armed would be smart. I turned the corner and there sat a dog, about as big as a Doberman sitting there. Alone.

I lower my gun and approached the dog with caution. "Hello fella." The dog pricked it's ears back as if I had gotten it's name wrong. I got closer to the dog and he lifted his head, showing me a dog tag that hung from a thin black collar around his neck. "Experiment t286(rd)". Experiment? I thought. That can't be good. The dog looked at me as if he could see what I was thinking. He put his ears down and lowered his head.

"Did you do this?" I asked the dog, as we sat together on the floor of the destroyed adoption center. The dog looked around and nodded. "Why?" I asked again. The dog looked away, with his dark eyes full of sadness. "Ok. Well I need a partner. Would you like to help me?" The dog looked away again. I could feel he was thinking it was a fancy way of saying "pet". "I'm an agent." I said quickly and the dog perked up. With incredible speed, the dog was next to me with his nose in my jacket pocket. He grabbed my badge with his teeth and threw it on the ground, which made it flip open. The dog looked as if he was reading it super fast with delicacy. He picked it back up and dropped it in my jacket pocket and sat down with incredible speed.

I kept the dog's original name "t286(rd)" but for short he was either called "T" if I needed to call him in a second or "t286" if I had more than a second. I trained him to be an extremely talented police dog. He still wore the thin black collar with his name, but also wore a new silver tag. It read: "'T' NYPD K9".

After I had t286 for a while, I decided to do some research on him and why his original tag bore "Experiment" on it. When I typed "Experiment t286(rd)" into Google, something strange popped up. The site read this:

Oh my gosh, he's a robot. I thought and looked down and there sat t286, looking incredibly sad. "Your a robot?" I asked and he nodded and look down again. "Don't worry. I won't get rid of you." I scratched him behind the ear and he looked like he was smiling a sweet robotic dog smile.
