. I know that v1d6 means version 1 dog 6. It's background story is...
It always rains...that was all I was thinking as I slogged home through the dreary night. It was inevitable that it would rain. I hated rain, despised it more than anyone else did, the wetness seeping into my socks through the holes in my shoes, the way it sounded as it pattered against everything, it sickened me. And regardless of when I walked...it always rained.
I was thinking about my warm home when I spotted it...the flash of brilliant blue against the dreary and dark sky. I locked my emerald eyes on it and watched the creature attempt to find a spot that wasn't completely drenched and smiled at the kinship I felt for it, understanding it's desire to escape the downpour. I snapped my fingers and watched as its head snapped up and it locked its eyes on me.
This beast wasn't friendly, that I could tell, but it was presented as a challenge. I smirked and ran a hand through my sopping hair and bared my teeth at it myself, daring it to come nearer. It didn't accept my challenged and I took another step toward it, waiting for the beast to dare to come closer. It took a step back, but bared its teeth at me and I smiled.
"Come here little beastie, let me see what you are, maybe we can find you a warm place to stay the night," I said with another snap. It took a step toward me, indecision in it's eyes. Then it took another and soon it was close enough for me to touch. I wasn't sure how I meant to get it home, but it seemed as if there was no trick to it. The thing followed me home, always close enough, but never close enough to touch.
