You know those stories, the ones about how a girl and her horse, just simply connect? They immediately trust each other and such?
Well this is not one of those stories.
I don't know if you know about a Dragon Blooded Equine, but these horses are among some of the most proud horses to grace the earth.
In fact, it is incredibly rare to be able to so called "Tame" one of these horses, and by now you've most likely heard her name in the papers, my Reimaru. So, let me tell you how our bond came to be...
I was never one for big animals. i was a pretty small person, and large animals frightened me, so i would automatically disdain them.
My father, however, was a Vet in southern Nebraska, so of course, i couldn't escape one of the most common large animals: Horses.
Any type, i avoided. Even Ponies, convinced they would trample me.
I held that same mentality for my first five years living there with my father, and the community being so very horse loving, hated me and my fright at the gentle giants.
People came, convinced they could "help" me past my illogical fear, but i guess that wasn't going to really happen.
And if there was one thing i was more afraid of, it was storms. and one particular night, fate decided to say "Welp, screw you! Lets put your two worst fears together! "
