Comet sat on his bench in the park, enjoying the silence. He always went there when the sky was clear and no one was around. Comet sighed when a cold snowflake landed on his nose and stood up. He hated getting his fur wet. He had just jumped off the bench when he heard a squeak nearby. He perked his ears and followed the tiny noises until he found the source under a bush. Upon moving a few pieces of shrub and newly fallen snow he discovered a few freezing baby bunnies. They were cold and underfed, it was easy to tell they weren't being taken care of. He knew he had to act fast. He went straight to a nearby series of small igloos. Casi lived there. She had built igloos to help animals who didn't have homes survive in their cold home, and knew he could go to her for help. Comet quickly explained what he found and showed her. She went to her donation igloo, the one dedicated to storing any kind of supplies or food given to her by visitors to the park. There she found a basket with a small heart at the top. The edges were just tall enough that baby bunnies couldn't escape. Comet gratefully took the basket and ran as fast as he could back to the bush. The sooner the bunnies were warm the better. After arriving at the bush he set down the basket next to it. He lay down in the cold snow in order to more clearly see the nest and better be able to remove the babies. One by one he gently moved each baby into the basket. The moment each touched the warm blanket they snuggled into it and to each other, grateful for the warmth.

Basket design: The basket is filled to the brim with baby quail! He had always wanted chickens, but they had always been something too big to fit in his small living quarters. Quail, however, were tiny birds that fit perfectly! Because of this, Starling's friends thought it would be a good Easter gift. Starling is more than excited to start his quail farm!
