Tamara has anxiety issues, so, to calm herself down, she mentally suffocates herself, or rather, her anxiety in the ocean. Many ask how such violent thoughts create peace, but Tamara has Agoraphobia, an anxiety disorder in which she always notices when an environment could be dangerous. Crowded or wide open spaces can trigger her anxiety, but Tamara simply tricks herself into thinking that the anxiety is because she's drowning, and convinces herself that she's a sea creature, where the darkness hugs her body and comforts her. Being a very creative viscet, she often closes her eyes and actually visualizes the entire scene quite vividly. She has enough knowledge of the experience, having been in the depths of the ocean once herself, on a quite spontaneous adventure in a submarine.

The icy depths of the sea swarmed around her, chilling her to the bone, and though uncomfortable physically, it was a comforting sensation. The blackness closed her eyes, though the cold water still touched her inner eyelids, and fur drifted around the edges of her vision. The Dark Abyss, wild and free, understood her. It would never let anyone tame it. The Ocean would never be any less than a god.

Answer: Spirit loves the ocean since she thinks it chose her as a young 'cet, as a egg her parents abandoned her because they couldn't take care of her since there was a treacherous war going on at her old home, her egg was placed on the top of a mushroom which floated down the river until the ocean guided her to a tribe of 'cets on a quiet beautiful island which had crisp yellow sand and luscious green trees this is where she grew up until adult hood, she still thinks about the family she never knew and even if they are still alive she did love her home but she does feel empty not knowing her parents. One day on her anniversary of being bought to the island a crystal necklace washed up to shore, the tribe she lived with hadn't name her yet since they needed a sign but haven't had one, the necklace was a glossy purple color with the silver letters "S-p-i-r-i-t", this is the sign she was waiting for this was her destined name "Spirit", she knew her parents had to be out there, every night after that day she wonders where they are or were they would be but she had the ocean and she always would have it.
