His full name is Salvino Alfonso Botticelli Romano, but he is better known as simply
Saltimbanco. He rarely goes by his full name anymore, as he somewhat disowned
himself from his family. His nicknames are Sal, Tim, Salt, Salty, and Moo. Moo is
Parakeet's personal nickname for him.

Saltimbanco is approximately 42 years old.

Birthday:
He was born on April first, so, in other words, April fools day!

Height:
Salty is a big JBD, around the size of a great dane,
possibly larger. He is thin and lanky, though his long
fur makes him seem bigger than he is.

Personal Information

Heritage:
His father was born in Italy but later moved to America and met his wife there.
They returned to his mansion near Italy and had Saltimbanco and his twin brother
Basilio there. Basilio fell sick and died when he was only three. The family was
devastated and decided to move from the mansion for a while to try to get their
mind off of things. They moved back to America.

Therefore Sal is Italian American.

Home:
Sal inherited a lot of money from his now deceased parents
and owns their family mansion. This mansion is currently
housing a shelter for stray cats and cats that have been
left their by their owners. He pays a staff of humans to
care for them and often visits himself. This mansion is
located on a small (fictional) island off the coast of Italy.

His usual home is in a small neighborhood near the sea
somewhere in America. It is a little ways away from most
of the other houses in a small secluded peaceful forest.
The cottage is an Victorian antique that was repaired
recently for Saltimbanco himself. He lives there with
his cat and his younger brother.

He travels often and has a few small homes in
various countries and states.

Professions:
Saltimbanco runs a small corner shop called "The Magic Cat" which sells
mainly stuff for magician acts, though it also sells costumes and old books.
He also takes small jobs that various locations as his stage persona
"The Magnificent Magician Saltimbanco". He is also a juggler at children's
parties and fair events, rents out several houses he owns from his inheritance
to other people, and acts both major and minor parts in local plays. He has a
small theater group who call themselves "The Bowtie Circus" who do both circus
acts and theatrical plays.

Hobbies:
Saltimbanco collects old books and manuscripts. These he either keeps or sells.
In his collection are histories and dairies and stories that were never published
by their authors, along with old sketches from forgotten artists and maps to
forgotten locations by long gone cartographers and owned by ancient treasure seekers.

History:
Saltimbanco was born to two very rich, upperclass JBDS. He was born under an entirely
different name, Salvino Romano. He had always been fascinated by show business, but
his parents considered the acting, dancing and singing world to be too "Low class" for a
high society child to preform in. He vowed to himself that one day he'd run away and
became extremely famous in preforming arts. That would teach his parents!

When he was 16, he finally made his escape. He lived on the streets for sometime,
meeting a few people . When they asked his name, he merely replied "Sal". One day,
someone asked what "Sal" was a nickname for. Salvino, not wanting to go by his old
name at all anymore, remembered a poster advertising a Circus show once, that was
called "Saltimbanco". Since then, everyone has called him Saltimbanco.

Some years later, when Sal was around 19, news came to him his parents died in an
accident, and he was summoned for their funeral and the reading of their will. When
he arrived, he found he had an adopted baby Brother, Paris Romano, who was still under
a year old. His parents entrusted the money and the child onto Saltimbanco, and, regretting
his resentment toward them is whole life, obeyed their last wishes, taking the child to live
with him. Saltimbanco still owns the mansion his parents had, but rarely visits in. He uses
their money sparingly, and plans to give the majority of it to Paris... or rather, PARAKEET,
when he is old enough. Him and Parakeet now travel the world, and have several homes
in different locations.

Personality Information

Personality:

Saltimbanco is a gloomy, pessimistic sort of fellow. He often sees the worst in everything
- especially in people - and will frequently complain - not directly to their faces of course
- about people he has met, or places he has been, or things other people seem to like yet
he finds most horrible and not worthwhile. It is no real wonder he has little to no friends,
considering his negativity.

Saltimbanco is a great admirer in beautiful, and very often antique objects. He enjoys visits
to museums, and antique shop, and likes to consider what it was like living back then. He
often wishes he had lives in the past. He is very negative about technology improvements
and the lack of manners in our day and age - despite the fact he himself is not the most
polite fellow you shall ever meet.

He has many regrets about the actions he has taken in his life and tries to make up for it
by caring for his younger adoptive brother and trying to raise him to be a better person
than he considers himself. Even though Saltimbanco is still not very old, he seems to
have given up on himself.

Saltimbanco is a trained actor and trickster. He has the ability to "change" his personality
depending on the company he is with. He is very charming to the ladies, a jolly clown to
the children, a respectable gentleman to the very high class people, and a humble actor
to his co-workers at the circus. No one seems to know his true nature or mind, and most
who are with him often begin to doubt him as they watch his flawless acting of different
parts. Those who see the gloomy man he is either feel bad for him or avoid him like the
plague. After a while or traveling with him or meeting him you shall soon realize how
different he acts depending on whom he is talking too.

Oswald - A large Himalayan tom cat with seal point patterns. He is around five years old and was originally a stray cat who just happened by Saltimbanco's house one day. He is very sour tempered and tends to keep to himself, curled up in his kitty bed.
