If this tolter had an animal companion, what would be and why: Garrett's best friend is the garter snake, Bo. Now while most horses are terrified of snakes Garret has always found them fascinating. One day he found this baby garter snake who had been stepped on by another horse unknowingly. Garrett stayed with him to make sure he wasn't stepped on again and when he got better the only thing that remained of his injury was the broken tail which had healed back the wrong way and looked like half a bow, hence his name Bo. Usually he hitches a ride wrapped up in Garrett's mane and goes where ever Garrett goes.

A Kingfisher Bird and a Leucistic Hummingbird would be his constant companions. These two bird, while never usually seen together, were attracted to colt that was losing his color. The Hummingbird because it was born the color of day old snow and had found another who was in close to the same situation. The Kingfisher because the colt's fading color reminded him of silver fish and melting ice from earlier years. These two separate birds have become the colt's companions and are seen flashing around his ears or resting on his back while he travels.

If this tolter had an animal companion, what would be and why: Styx would have a Domestic Rat named Maverick For a companion. Styx takes his little friend everywhere he goes. The little rat often resting between his ears or on his shoulder. Styx first found maverick locked in a small plastic cage sitting near an old house, disliking the conditions the rat was in he nibbled at the cage until the rat was free. Maverick gave a happy chatter and crawled up onto the colts back.

A Cinnamon Ferret named Vin. Vin is a tough little ferret that will pick a fight with anyone and is fiercely loyal and protective. She also really loves cuddling next to someone or something warm when she sleeps and when she saw Elend getting picked on by the other foals(Elend being naturally timid), she hissed at the foals and scared them away. But Elend was more curious and grateful than afraid, and the two became fast friends. While Vin can't always be seen with Elend and hates being off the ground, she is always within earshot and keeps a close eye on her charge.

Sil's companion is a gray and white cat named Smokey. Smokey took a liking to Sil because he was very warm during the cold nights, he always greeted Smokey in the mornings, and his coat... It was very interesting to watch it change colors as he grew. Smokey is a young barn cat and Sil a young colt, so they'll be together for a long time.

If this tolter had an animal companion, what would be and why: Inuit's best bud is Raccoon, a little ferret. Inuit found Raccoon hidden in a bale of hay in his and his mother's stall one day and curiosity overtook Inuit, and so, soon after meeting Raccoon, they were best buds. But, why a ferret would be his companion is because the little guy is small and despite that being a slight hazard, it means that the ferret can ride on Inuit's back whenever he pleases.
