Something I Did/Do:
Well, currently my family is on a smoking strike, me excluded cause I don't and it's illegal for me to smoke and I'm not with them, so yea. And starting tomorrow me and a friend or two are going down to the creek and river behind my friends house to clean it up and to make it to where the water can continue to flow. Sarah and I are carpooling to school, I mean we act like idiots on the way but now we're doing something good. A few other exchange students and I decided we would start recycling around the school. The twins and I actually started walking around more, so now we'll walk to go get pizza or we'll walk to the subway, literally wherever there is food we will walk. We started walking because their mom doesn't want to drive *whispers*. We've been taking out dogs to the dog park more often and we've been keeping an eye for their devil cat, she's evil and doesn't really like outside but you know, she'll try to kill us sometimes. It may seem like a lot but honestly it's not, we mostly do this anyway to where it's the norm because our family's are strong on their opinions about nature and how should be treated and kept clean.
So, this is one day late, but here's a simple Earth Day gal for you all! The contest here is simple, yet not so simple. I will only be judging on name and if you can do a correct height. However....
There is a second component to the form, that I'd like you to include at the bottom (I am hoping to see who read the full description.) I want you to start to do something this week, that is beneficial to the earth, wildlife, or other humans. Some good starting ideas:
- Recycle everything plastic, paper, or metal. Try to avoid using styrofoam.
- Try to cut down the amount of red meat you eat this week, if possible.
- Go out for a walk.
- Keep your indoor cat inside (domestic cats kill billions birds and rodents, including endangered species, every year).
- Read up on an important cause, such as the palm oil crisis, deforestation, etc.
and so on, and so forth.
Once you've done something, mention it on her form! This is not a boasting contest, and I won't be awarding her to the person who does the "best thing", I just want to see you do something! And have fun. ;3[/center]
