short story ;; Vee sat alone in his apartment room. No friends there, no family. He had grown old enough to leave home, so he did. But only now did he realize that he was lonely. His family was probably missing him. But...I'm already here...I'm having a job interview tomorrow... He thought, But what if my family is worried? I should have stayed longer to say good-bye? Vee thought for a moment longer. "I'm going back." He thought out loud, finally making his decision. He packed his bags up again, then picking up the phone. "The interview is cancelled. I have better things to do." He said into the phone, then hanging up. He walked down the stairs quickly. "I'm checking out early." Vee said to the woman at the front desk. He signed a small sheet of paper, then headed to the airport.
