{{ Crinitus Dracones are a species of dragon. The literal translation is Fluffy Dragons, but it was decided that 'Fluffy Dragons simple wasn't an elegant enough name, therefore 'Crinitus Dracones' was born!

{{ They are not extremely rare, but have a level of rarity to them. They are linked with humans; but one specific human may only be linked with three, but that is very rare. These people must be strong willed and put a huge amount of effort into giving each equal attention.

{{ The dragons are quite unique and at time often do not look alike to anything. Though some look similar, but only if they are twins; even then they look different.



{{ The dragons at adulthood can reach two meters tall, and can be as small as 1 meter. The males tend to be taller than the females.

{{ Between being a hatchling and adulthood the dragons play-fight and relish each others company. They tend not to make their first bonds at this age but it is not unheard of; the reason it is more difficult to bond at this age is because when first born they spend all of their time with their mothers then grow and enjoy playing with other hatchlings.

{{ The egg is warm to touch and has a slight feeling of feathery down, though not visible to the naked eye there are tiny hairs coating the egg to keep it warm for when the parents are not with the egg. The best time to bond with a Crinitus is now; though finding an abandoned egg or stealing one is quite the feat as the parents are very diligent and caring. The only time you cold ever do this easily is through breeding a Crinitus and helping care for the egg.

{{ The eggs are made of a very thick, almost indestructible material. Nobody has really tried to break the eggshells except after hatching and even then it's very tough.



{{ They will not let human ride them unless they are extremely close.

{{ They are practically sentient beings. They cannot speak any human language and can only speak through their human.

{{ They are generally very quiet, and very kind towards other beings, but they do have separate personalities and can be different.

{{ They do not have mating seasons because they mate whenever they want to. And they mate for live meaning that they only mate once they no longer have a hatchling or egg to care for, even then the sometimes choose against it.

Hello, I am galaxy ruler of the stars you ask why I got this name? Well, I was born from mother stars and father moon so I was named galaxy after the space between the two.

I am Female, most have mistaken me for a male but I am a Female.

This is the story of me as a new hatching:
"Galaxy," My mother looked at me, my big eyes blurry. They adjusted, looking at mother for the first time. I tried to walk to her my legs wobbling. I slowly wobbled to her. I fell, but she caught me with her claw. She picked me up into her arms. She smiled at me and i did the same. Her skin was a purple coveted in tiny white splotches. My father came over to her the pressed their noses together, he was black with with a big white circle on his chest he wore a necklace with a cresent moon on it. He smiled and kissed my forhead. I squeaked and rubbed up agaist my mothers chest. I fell asleep in her arms my wings flapping in my sleep. My mother and father smiled, looking at me in a way that only a father and mother could look.

Esperance is a French name that means "hope" and this dragon truly is hope, as you will find out in the story.

Short story:
I watched my world burn down. The fire was burning and it was all I could do just to get out of the house. I remember sobbing, shouting my family's names, running from the pain, both real and imagined. What was happening? I had woken up and was burning. Everything was burning. I was trapped, searching for both my family and the end, the exit to the madness, the pain, the flames. The house was falling down and I was going to die. I heard a roar, and panic set in. It was a dragon. Could a dragon have done this? Was it coming back to finish what it started? I was going to die. I fell to the floor, everything from shock to smoke and pain felling me, and the flames where coming closer. Another roar, closer. Then, the roof of the room was ripped up from the house, talons reached in and grabbed me, then flew away from the flames, away from the pain. But not away from the pain in my heart. Was I going to die, or was I already dead? At the time, it was hard to see the difference. But as the dragon set me down on a cliff far from the burning house, I found the strength to stand. Staring at my burning house, I felt tears running down my cheeks. My family... I saw villagers running to the house with water, trying to contain the blaze, pulling my family out of the fire... But my family wasn't there anymore. It wasn't them, just an empty shells. More tears ran down my face, and I staggered back. The dragon caught me, supporting me with its shoulder, and I turned to look at it for the first time. At first I couldn't see the dragon, I thought the sky itself was supporting me. But then the figure appeared, and mistakenly female dragon, looking at me with my sadness reflected in her eyes. I just broke down into tears, couldn't swallow my pain anymore, and she let me rest on her shoulder until the tears stopped. I must have stood there for a while, for when I finally could look up, the sun was rising. I felt water on my shoulder and thought it was raining, but looking over, I saw the dragon crying itself. This was not fire-starter, I knew that now. But why had she only saved me? Finding my balance, I staggered back, staring at her with accusation, my sorrow threatening to bury me again.
"Why didn't you save the others?"
No answer came, I knew dragons couldn't talk, but I was running on anger and sorrow and could barley think.
"Answer me!" I broke down in the middle of this and just started crying again. The dragon slowly came towards me, and looking into her eyes, I saw both an apology and sorrow. I looked deeper into her white eyes and the strangest thing happened. It was as if I was the dragon. I saw the burning house, the desperate villages fighting a hopeless battle. I swooped towards the house, ignoring them running away, then trying to find and help the humans. Tearing through room after room, finding no survivors, not the one I was looking for... Could she be dead? I swooped up and then saw the desperate girl, burning.
"NO!" I heard the dragon cry, not in the human language, but a desperate roar. Swooping in: "NO!" I grabbed her-, wait no, this was me, I was not the dragon-
Pulling out of the dragons mind, I understood everything. She had chosen me long ago, she had been always watching over me, not willing to revel herself so not to mark me as someone to be feared... Esperance had always be my guardian. I'll never know when I learned her name, when I truly decided to trust her, to go with her. I'll never know how she showed me everything, explained everything. Some things can never me explained. But I do know that I will never be without my hope now. Esperance... She truly is my hope.

Short story:
One rather chilly autumn evening, when the sun was starting to set casting purpleish hues around on every creature still awake and roaming around, quickly finishing up their tasks before the 'bad guys' came out from their hiding places on the look out for food.
And in the distance there was a rather large silhouette over an animal, and not any kind of animal, perhaps the most mystical creature ever thought of, a dragon.

It wasen't an unusal sight to see that same silhouette each setting evening, that is, if you knew where to look. And with just a slight crack of a twig the noble creature turned her head to the location of the sound, snorted with dismay before she stood up and lightly glided over the cliff's edge and soared over the sky. And the only traces of her where the fog and the distinct aura she had left behind. The creature that had made the dragon take flight from her evening rest, slowly crawled out from their hiding place, and gently jogged towards the cliff's edge and just listened. Listened for it. With the breezes taking a hold of her hair and swirling it around. She waited, but not for long, before she heard the distant roar from the dragon, and she roared back as best as she could.
Each day she came to that location, hoping to connect with the dragon, and with each setting day, a small spark of connection was given. But it was still so fragile at this point, that any kind of disruption would cause it to break and cause that dragon to take her flight away from that girl. For the last time.
