The name is Zand - it's not short for anything, but I wish it was. My Mom is just weird, I guess. I love her to pieces though.

Gender:

I'm a boy and there is no doubt about that.

My Story:

I grew up in one of those rough towns that you see in films and on television - yeah, unfortunately they really do exist. Just like in those films and TV shows, I also grew up fatherless and with a mother who worked her butt off just to give me and my kid sister everything we wanted and needed. She did her best. She never let anyone walk all over her though and she was too soft - that is what ended up breaking her in the end. I became the man of the house at the ripe age of 15. I'm 20 now, but honestly? I feel like I'm 30. I make things work from day to day and I've come to realise that 24 hours isn't enough time to get things done. I'm happy thought....well, for the most part. One day I'll prove to the world that a kid like me with a crappy past can make it to the big leagues without cheating or stabbing others in the back. Until then, I'll just make sure my Mom and little sister get everything they need to get by. My family is my life. They always will be.

✖ -- Forward ;; I don't mean to be - I've just got tough skin and no reason to lie to anyone. That kinda thing happens when you grow up where I did. ◄

✖ -- Sarcastic ;; I don't think I know how to be anything but sarcastic. I guess it makes me seem less harsh - but maybe that's all in my head. ◄

✖ -- Competitive ;; The area I grew up in was rough - you had to fight for everything you had and fight even harder to keep it. Plus, a little competition every now and then is healthy, right? ◄

✖ -- Determined ;; With the life I live, you gotta be. I work hard for a living and I refuse to fail or let my family down. ◄

✖ -- Reliable ;; I'm always there for people when they need me. Always. ◄

☑ -- Sunrise ;; I love the beginning of the day and the sun signifies that. Everything feels so fresh and I can just close my eyes for a few minutes and inhale the morning before my (usually) long day start. ◄

☑ -- Hard Workers ;; When you work several jobs like I do, you gotta love working with people who know what they're doing and work hard towards doing it. It makes everything smoother and easier for everyone. ◄

☑ -- Family ;; My family is everything - they're all I've ever had and I'd do anything for them. They're the reason I live and breathe. ◄

☑ -- The Outdoors ;; I love being outside. I love the fresh air and the life that surrounds me from day to day. I am surrounded by a lot of sorrow and grief but being outside just makes things more bearable. ◄

☒ -- My Father ;; The man was very brief in my life - but I know enough to say that I hate nothing and no one more than him. ◄

☒ -- Rain ;; I understand it makes everything grow - but it's really just one giant nuisance for me. I work outside a lot and there is almost nothing more terrible than waking up to see heavy clouds. ◄

☒ -- My Hometown ;; AKA the worst place in the world. I don't even want to go too deeply into it. Way too much effort to talk about that stain on a map. One day I will escape this wretched place. ◄

☒ -- Quitters ;; By believing that you cannot do something, you're setting yourself up for failure. Just don't even waste your breathe on me if you're one of these people. I believe that anyone can do anything if they really just set their mind to it. ◄
