Nyreidan [nigh-ray-dun/nigh-ray-dan] ;- Small nymph-like creatures that are born in and live around water sources. Their physical appearance resembles that of a small mammal with insectoid features. They are the size of large dragonflies, as in insect size. (These are not the size of wolves, they are not related!)

Name:Calypso
Gender: Male

Personality:
He is sweet, kind and gentle. He always likes meeting new friends and loves to be around them. He likes the night sky and will sometimes spend hours staring at it and studying the stars. He can also be playful at times, getting others to chase him and racing through the forest and over ponds.

Write a short story about him, must contain one of the following items: Marble, Pearl, or Diamond
Oh, how I loved to explore, flying around the pond, finding new things and surprises. I jumped off a lily pad to the next one as I made my way across the pond. I did a little spin in the air before I landed, and then took off again, flying through the air to the other side, into the grass. He landed on the top of a large piece of grass and looked around, trying to find something to do. Nothing caught his eye so he kept going. He stopped suddenly when he heard a large splash in the pond. He was just able to see a purple tail go under before it disappeared. It was a larger creature by far, about the size of a canine. It then came up again. A large purple sort of canine with fins and horns.
He watched carefully as it came up out of the water, staying hidden from view, but very curious. He had never seen any creature like it and wanted so badly to know what it was. The large wolf like creature got out of the pond and shook her fur before sitting down in the grass. He gathered enough bravery to fly over and land on her nose. She went cross eyed looking at the little creature now on her nose. "Hello?" scrunching her nose as it tickled. "Who do we have here?" she asked. "My name is Calypso." he replied quietly. "I was just wondering what sort of creature you were?" he asked nervously. The large wolf seemed to be thinking, then it looked back at Calypso. 'I'll tell you if you can get me something." she replied with a grin. "If you can find me a pearl, I shall tell you what I am." "Deal!" Calypso replied, loving the idea of a little treasure hunt.

Name: Libellule

Gender: Male

Personality:

Curious yet ambitious and enthusiastic. He is very energetic although he has a very kind and forgiving nature. He likes to please Nyreidan every way he possibly can and is very kind and caring to wards other animals. He isn't much of a comedian but he is very engaging to be around.

Write a short story about him.

"Libellule" Was born in a small forest that had a beautiful water stream running through it. A small little Nyreidan Called ruby would hang around him, she was a spotty red and orange Nyreidan who also had an ambitious nature. Libellule and Ruby where fascinated with the way that they could change themselves by finding another mineral in a cave called ient. The pair would search for days but there Minny insect wings would fail them after hours of searching. They would go to to sleep and wake up the next morning refreshed and ready to go again, some time later they caught sight of a cave, as the rushed towards it night was becoming near. The pair where too tired to go on so they went to sleep on a small sheltered leaf that was fixed in the tall grass. Libellule would lay awake at night and wounder why he was just a plain blue colour, every one else in his family had amazing patterns on them and the sparkled in the day light yet he was left a dark blue. Ruby and Libellule awoke to the beautiful scene of day break and they continued there travels making sure they had a water source near. The mist in the air as they traveled through it was very damp so they knew in was going to rain soon. The pair reached the cave and they entered. Libellule looked at his legs and he thought to him selve "this is the last time i see my legs in daylight a boring blue" Traveling in the cave the saw many diamonds and crystals, Libellule and Ruby's curiosity lead to them touching every thing the could get there hands on. Finally they saw a big diamond in the center of the cave. "you go first" Ruby said to Libellule excitedly. Libellule reached out and touched the diamond, his boring blue body turned into a spectacular pattern of blue and white. Ruby then approached the diamond and her red and orange spots turned into a beautiful ruby pattern on her body. Dozens of days later they found there homes, showing all the Nyreidan around them what they had achieved. Libellule was very grateful about the diamond and had no idea about how he could of lived with out the striving ambition that pushed him along and Ruby

This Nyreidan Is very shy and sweet
he loves to play and go swimming in the crystal waters of the forest
. He also is very outgoing and very curios . he never gets in a bad
mood or gets angry he is very protective over his prize possesion though
. His prize possesion is a large pearl his mother gave him before she passed
on into the next world, and he cannot part with this pearl it means the world
to him.
